Chapter 24 To St. Mungo's

After lunch, Peter wrote a note asking the house-elf to give it to Harry.

He used the time himself to practice a new spell in his office.

Soon there was a knock on the door.

"Professor Peddie Road." Harry's voice came from behind the door.

"Come in," said Peter, waving his wand.

Harry and Hermione pushed open the door and walked in - a second later they backed out in horror.

They saw that the office was filled with three-foot-high flames, rapidly changing in color from red to blue, surrounding Peter.

Seeing this, Peter raised his wand high, then slowly lowered the arm holding the wand, and the flame became shorter until it disappeared completely.

"It's okay, come in!" Peter waved to Harry and Hermione at the door, gesturing them to come in.

Harry and Hermione walked in, a little startled.

"This is a spell that I'm still developing," Peter said with a smile. "It's very useful, but unfortunately it's too difficult for you to learn at this stage."

Peter conjured up two soft chairs, invited Harry and Hermione to sit down, and poured them each a glass of wine.

"You said in the note that we were going to see Professor Snape with Professor Dumbledore..." Harry said suspiciously.

"Don't be in a hurry," Peter explained. "We'd better wait until the other students have started their lessons, otherwise it will be too conspicuous."

Hermione took a sip of wine and asked cautiously, "Excuse me, are there any other students coming besides us? We are not from Slytherin House...I mean..."

Peter smiled, knowing what Hermione meant.

Harry and Hermione didn't know Snape well, and they weren't Slytherin students, so Hermione was naturally surprised why Professor Dumbledore asked them to visit him.

They may not know that some Slytherin students may prefer that the unseemly Headmaster die sooner rather than later. .

"This matter has nothing to do with your personal relationship with Professor Snape. Professor Dumbledore thinks there are some things that you should know," Peter said.

Hearing this, Harry lowered his head and sipped his wine slowly, he had always felt responsible for this incident.

"Harry, you don't need to be under pressure," Peter said thoughtfully. "If you have to say it, he entered St. Mungo's to save me. The only thing you have to do now is to protect yourself."

"Professor," Harry asked, looking up, "are you friends with Professor Snape?"

friend?Enemies are more or less the same, thought Peter.

But these things, it is best not to let the children know.

"Well, we know each other." Peter said perfunctorily, "By the way, where is Ron?"

Harry snorted impatiently.

"He is jealous of me, so he still refuses to talk to me. I am really enviable. I can die in the Triwizard Tournament and be hunted down by mysterious people..."

Peter found the subject just as bad, and hastily offered them two tarts in syrup.

It was nearly time, and Peter led Harry and Hermione out of the office.

They walked through the castle, climbed a flight of stairs, and finally came to the top of the Astronomy Tower.

This is the tallest tower in Hogwarts, overlooking the Forbidden Forest from here.

Harry and Hermione were a little puzzled. There was no public transportation here, and Hogwarts did not allow the use of portkeys and apparitions. How would Professor Peddie take them to St. Mungo's?

Peter motioned Harry and Hermione to stand on the edge, then he swung his wand vigorously, and a huge bird appeared out of nowhere on the tower.

The bird had a proud eagle's head, yellow eyes that looked piercingly at Peter, and three pairs of wings on its back, one of which was on a long, slender dragon-like tail.

Peter held out a hand to it, and the bird bowed its head gracefully, the feathers between its eyes touching the palm of his hand.

Harry and Hermione gasped with excitement as they looked at the beautiful, gigantic creature.

"It's... a Thunderbird!" Hermione squealed.

"That's right," Peter said approvingly.

"Are we going to ride this?" Harry exclaimed excitedly. "That fellow Ron is at a loss!"

Peter waved his wand, and a gust of air rose into the air, and Harry and Hermione were blown onto Thunderbird's back.

The Thunderbird raised its head, flapped its wings with the help of the updraft, and hovered high in the air.

"Professor Peddie!" cried Hermione, "won't you come up?"

"I want to take this opportunity to experiment with another magic." Peter said calmly.

He created a magic space around his body. This magic space is not big, but the concentration of magic power in it is ten times greater than the usual one.

He waved his wand, and the high-concentration magic power lifted his body up. In the eyes of others, he was flying in the air.

Harry and Hermione stared at Peter with admiration.

Peter was actually getting more and more tired. Fortunately, he had already flown above the Thunderbird.

He lowered the concentration of magic power and let himself slowly land on its back.

"You can fly without the help of foreign objects," said Hermione in amazement. "I've never seen it in a book!"

"To be honest, I'm not the first to do this," Peter panted. "Another wizard has gone further than me, and my ability is nothing compared to him."

"Who is that wizard?" Harry asked enthusiastically.

"Voldemort," said Peter.

Harry's smile froze for an instant, and he and Hermione exchanged a slightly terrified look.

Peter did not rule out that Voldemort himself would suddenly fly into Hogwarts and start a killing spree.

Three years ago, Voldemort stole the Sorcerer's Stone, perhaps he has been resurrected in some unknown corner.

Peter knew he had some means of avoiding death, but Peter had no idea what that means was.

If Voldemort cooperates this method with the Sorcerer's Stone, he can achieve infinite resurrection, and then his actions will not be so cautious, which will mean more casualties.

The Thunderbird had already left Hogwarts Castle far behind him, and as its three pairs of wings waved, thick black clouds gathered in the originally clear sky.

It passed through the clouds, flying so fast above the black clouds that the Muggles below couldn't spot them and would only think that the weather forecast had failed again.

After a long time, when Harry and Hermione were a little frozen, Thunderbird finally began to lower the altitude.

Peter cast a Disillusionment Charm just in time to keep the Muggles from seeing them.

The Thunderbird circled for a few weeks and carefully landed on a wide street.

Several cars drove towards him, and Peter pointed with his wand, and all of them broke down inexplicably.

As soon as the three of them got off Thunderbird's back, Thunderbird disappeared without a trace.

They walked to a dilapidated store on the street called "Ching Chi Department Store", with a "Closed for Renovation" sign on the dusty door, and only a few cracked dummies in the window.

Peter walked to the window and said to a frighteningly ugly female dummy in a very small voice: "Hello, let's see a... idiot."

"Which one?" The dummy's square mouth opened.

"Severus Snape."

Harry and Hermione waited, unable to hear the conversation.

The dummy nodded slightly and beckoned.

Peter shoved Harry and Hermione into the window.

There was a sound of horns on the road, and the broken down cars blocked the entire street.

The drivers got out of the car and turned around in a hurry. They couldn't find out the cause of the failure.

Before going into the window, Peter lazily pointed his wand again towards the road.
