Chapter 62 Parker
"So... how long are you going to wrestle with that fork?" Raven glanced at Eric across the table as she worked on her dinner.

Eric has been thinking about it since he sat down, unconsciously fiddling with the fork in his hand, and he is not in a good mood.

"Still thinking about basketball? You have performed well." Ruiwen "comforted" and then added intentionally or unintentionally, "Although you lost."

Well, she definitely did it on purpose.Eric wanted to defend himself - so what could be done? The one opposite is Spider-Man, with at least [-] tons of arm strength to walk up, and his reflexes can even dodge bullets. It's a foul for this kind of guy to come to play, right?

Raven continued to eat his dinner with his head down, but there seemed to be a slight smile on his lips inadvertently. She didn't say it, but she actually preferred to see Eric's reaction after losing, like a child who lost a toy.

The two had dinner at the restaurant opposite the school, and when they came out, a group of people on the opposite side were gathered around, as if they were joining in the fun.

Ordinarily, Eric wasn't interested in joining in the fun, until he noticed the star of the drama, Peter Parker, who had beaten him on the court not too long ago.

"Who do you think you are, Parker!?" A tall, burly blond boy grabbed Parker's collar and yelled, "Basketball, huh? Just you bookworm?"

"Yes, Thompson." Parker's figure was pitifully small in front of him, but he didn't show any weakness. "The coach asked me if I would like to join the basketball team, because I heard that an idiot on the team was injured and couldn't play."

Flash Thompson, the star of the basketball team, but recently injured his hand due to a fight with someone and was unable to play, so the coach urgently needs someone to take his place.Personally, Thompson is still Parker's bitter enemy, because he always likes to use the nerd as a punching bag.

"Maybe I can't play for the time being, but that's not your turn, weak chicken Parker! It won't affect me to beat you up!"

He wasn't joking, and Thompson threw a straight punch, threatening to come straight to Parker's face.

Peter Parker, he is Spider-Man, he has superb reflexes and dynamic vision, theoretically speaking, he has countless moments to react and avoid the punch.

But he didn't.

The fist landed firmly on Parker's face, just like every time before.

Eric knew what Parker was thinking. He's terrified of his identity being revealed, of someone finding out he's Spider-Man, and of any apparent change in his life that would lead to suspicions about how a nerd can turn upside down overnight.

But Eric always felt that it was because he thought too much. Superpowers should not be abused, but it is definitely not too much to earn enough sports credits for himself or to ensure that he will not be beaten by bullies.

Of course, that was his own choice, and it wasn't Eric's business.Besides, he was pretty sure Spider-Man getting punched by a high school student would be nothing serious.

He was about to turn his head to leave, when Raven asked casually, "Uh, shouldn't you stop that guy or something?"

Eric paused, and said, "Didn't I say I don't like meddling?"

"You said it, but you also meddled in all the nosy things that have happened to me since I met you."

The face is expressionless but extremely sharp, worthy of being the Queen of Ravens, her mouth is really as sharp as the rumors say.

"Okay, okay." Eric sighed, "It's not too much trouble anyway."

While speaking, Thompson had knocked Parker to the ground with one punch, followed by raising his other fist and dropping it sharply, with a bandage on the back of his hand.

Parker didn't dodge, but the punch didn't land.

Thompson's fist was firmly squeezed by someone, as if he was pinched by a pair of pliers, he couldn't move.

"Hey." Eric said, "It's about time."

Thompson glared at Eric: "Who are you?"

"This kid's." Eric glanced at Parker, "Golf friend, be it, just met."

"Don't block me." Thompson said in a low voice, "I'm in a bad mood right now."

"What a coincidence." Eric shrugged, "I'm not in a good mood either."

Thompson gritted his teeth, and punched Eric in the face with another free punch. But Eric only moved slightly, and his palm slapped his fist seemingly casually. Thompson was immediately staggered by his own strength and almost fell down.

Thompson turned his head in surprise. Although he was still angry, his rationality prevented him from attacking again. All parts of his simple brain were sending him a message - this guy couldn't win.

He just stared at Eric for a few seconds.

"Tch." Thompson spat angrily, "You're lucky, Parker, it's not over yet!"

He turned his head and brushed aside the crowd, and walked away quickly.

The farce ended and the crowd gradually dispersed.Parker touched the cheek that had just been beaten and stood up: "Thank you."

"To be honest, you should thank her." Eric glanced at Raven who was watching the show with his arms around him the whole time.

"Peter!"

A blond girl rushed out of the school gate against the flow of people, ignoring the others and went straight to Parker.

"I heard Thompson did it to you again? I warned him"

"It's okay, Gwen, I'm fine." Parker said with a smile, "Thank you for your concern."

Gwen?

Only then did Eric take a serious look at the girl.

She has soft blond hair, a black hairpin, and fair skin like snow. It can be said that she is pure and charming, and she is the first choice for any boy to choose a girl ticket.

Gwen Stacy, one of Spider-Man's girlfriends in the original.

Eric raised his eyebrows: "Yes, boy, there is such a beautiful girl?"

"What? No, no, she's not Gwen." Parker waved his hands in a hurry, "...she's just my friend."

Eric noticed the obvious disappointment on Gwen's face when he said that.

Sure enough, it is the same wood as in the legend.Eric thought to himself. But speaking of it, I really envy this kid's femininity.
But Gwen didn't give up, she summoned up her courage and said, "Well, today's geometry homework seems a bit difficult, I think maybe we can find a time"

"Ah, tonight! I have something to do tonight!" Peter slapped his forehead, "I'm going to the underground shopping mall after meeting with Mary Jane, and I'm delayed playing golf in the afternoon, so..."

"Oh! That's great." Gwen said disappointedly.

"I'm sorry, why don't you come too, I know there's a delicious sandwich shop there." He said, turning to Eric and Raven, "Why don't you come too, thank you for your help just now. "

Eric's mouth twitched.

If I didn't know that this kid really has low EQ, I couldn't help but want to beat him up.
It might not be a bad proposition, though.

He cast his eyes on Ruiwen, who twitched the corner of his mouth slightly, and the words reluctance were clearly written on his face.
