Chapter 193 Nymphadora Tonks
Chapter 193 Nymphadora Tonks
In early October, the fear of Sirius Black's escape and the novelty of Catwoman Kayla's serial crimes are fading in the little wizard.
There is one more important thing that has attracted their attention.
Quidditch for this school year is about to begin.
Thursday night.
Harry was caught by Wood to discuss tactics for the new season, while Hermione followed Hardy and met Braden at the Pig's Head Bar.
"Mrs. Pince agreed," Braden excitedly drank the flame whiskey in his glass after hearing the good news from Hardy.
Hermione looked at Hardy curiously. She didn't know what method the other party used to make the stubborn Mrs. Pince take the initiative to go to the school infirmary for an examination.
"It's not difficult," Hardy's expression suddenly became serious, and he raised his wand to block out the noise next to him.
Both Braden and Hermione looked confused, "What's wrong?"
"Just last night, on the path leading to Hogsmeade," Hardy said, rubbing his wand with his fingers, "Mrs. Pince was attacked."
"Assault?!" Braden and Hermione screamed.
Hardy shrugged.
It was because of the attack that night that Mrs. Pince realized that she was really in trouble.
So she accepted Hardy's proposal without hesitation.
"What exactly is going on?" Braden leaned over and asked in a low voice.
"A Hippogriff did it," Hardy looked at Hermione who opened his mouth. "Unfortunately, it's Buckbeak."
"This is impossible--"
Hermione cupped her face in her hands, "I've seen that hippogriff, Hagrid quite likes it, and he's not that bad-tempered, it's impossible, ah this—"
Braden blinked, "Buckbeak? It's the one that attacked Lucius Malfoy's son...I saw it in the Daily Prophet."
"It does look like it's a dangerous thing, and the Dangerous Animals Committee will probably arrange an executioner for it," Braden said.
"No, no!" Hermione pursed her lips, "Buckbeak is not such a brutal beast, there must be something wrong..."
However, what Hardy said next made Hermione seem to have been thrown a basin of cold water.
On the night Mrs. Pince was attacked, only Buckbeak broke free from his collar and flew away in the entire paddock.
As for the reason for Buckbeak's attack on Mrs. Pince, it is currently unknown.
"My instinct as an Auror tells me—" Braden said, "someone doesn't want what we get from Irma Pince."
"Shall I arrange an Auror bodyguard for her?" he said. "Nymphadora Tonks has been trying to join our case."
Braden said in a low voice, "During this period of time, she followed Director Scrimgeour and was played around by Catwoman Kayla. She was trying to find a new case."
After deliberation, Hardy agreed with Braden to send Nymphadora Tonks, a female Auror, to ensure the safety of Irma Pince.
"You can spend more time with Tonks," Braden said, "so you don't have to leave Hogwarts Castle all the time."
Back in the Gryffindor common room, Hermione told Harry and Ron about the Pig's Head pub.
But Harry hardly listened, he had just finished training for a Quidditch game, and his eyelids were too sleepy to open.
Ron didn't listen carefully either, he had been chasing the Weasley twins the whole time to ask what was going on in the dungeon lately.
This made Hermione very angry, and she walked up to the girls' dormitory on the second floor angrily, and slammed the door behind her.
"Hey! Go away, Crookshanks! Don't try to bully Scabbers!" Ron's roar came from the fireplace to drive Crookshanks away.
"Hermione! You should take care of your pet cat," Ron yelled, "he's always trying to eat my Scabbers!"
But no one paid him any attention.
"You haven't told me what's in the underground classroom recently!" He looked at George and Fred beside him.
The twins looked at each other and said with a smile: "This is a good question. Many professors will go there at night recently. We will figure it out sooner or later."
"How do you know where many professors have gone at night?" Ron looked suspiciously, "Did you sneak out?"
"Not at all!" said George, and with a yell Fred stomped on him.
"We're going to bed," stuffed the shivering mouse, Scabbers, into Ron's pocket, and the twins strode away, refusing to answer any questions.
Noon the next day.
After the morning's training, Harry returned to the Gryffindor common room. It was raining lightly outside, and he was stiff with the cold, but he was very satisfied with the progress of the training.
The common room was chattering and bustling.
"What's the matter?" he asked Ron and Hermione, who were sitting in the two best chairs by the fire, finishing up two star charts for astronomy class.
"First weekend at Hogsmeade," said Ron, pointing to a freshly posted notice on the battered bulletin board. "Late October. Hallow's Eve."
"Great!" said Fred, who followed Harry through the portrait hole. "I'm going to Zonko's Joke Shop. I'm running out of rotten eggs."
Harry plopped down on a chair next to Ron, all the joy in his heart gone.
Everyone else could go to Hogward for a fun weekend, but not him.
Partly because he hadn't gotten Uncle Vernon's permission form during the summer vacation, and partly because Sirius Black hadn't been caught yet and he couldn't go anywhere.
"Harry, you'll make sure to go next time," said Hermione. "They'll be sure to catch Black soon, he's already been seen once."
"Blake is not a fool, it is impossible to go to Hogsmeade to act rashly." Ron said, "Harry, you can ask McGonagall if you can go this time, and the next time you have to wait until the year of the monkey—"
"Ron!" said Hermione, "Harry should have stayed at school—"
"Can't just leave him at school as a third year," said Ron. "Go ask McGonagall, Harry, go—"
"Okay, I'll ask." Harry said with determination.
The afternoon happened to be Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class.
The bell rang for the end of get out of class, and Harry hadn't figured out how to tell Professor McGonagall, but she brought up the topic of Hogsmeade first.
"Wait a minute, please!" Professor McGonagall shouted when the little wizards got up to leave. "You are all in my house. Please give me the permission form to go to Hogsmeade before Halloween. You can't go if you don't hand in the form." , don't forget!"
"Go and ask her," Ron said to Harry in a low voice.
"Oh, but—" Hermione tried to speak.
"Come on, Harry," said Ron stubbornly.
Harry waited for everyone else to leave before walking towards Professor McGonagall's podium nervously.
Hermione and Ron were waiting for him outside the classroom, but at this moment, Ron suddenly pushed Hermione, "Look, who are the two people following Professor Ollivander and Mrs. Pince?"
Hermione looked in the direction of the foyer through the corridor, "Aurors from the Ministry of Magic, Brayden Smith and...uh...the other one should be Nymphadora Tonks."
The witch behind Braden had a fair, heart-shaped face and sparkling black eyes.
The short spike-like hair was a bright and eye-catching violet, and the latter was constantly looking at Professor Ollivander in front of him at the moment.
