Chapter 191 Teaching Accident
"What are you doing in the library?" Hermione asked.
George said, "We found out in the basement—" Soon, he was being pushed by Fred.
"We all saw it," Fred blinked at Hermione. "Aurors from the Ministry of Magic came to see Mrs. Pince this morning. What's wrong with her?"
"Hey, what's this?" George snatched the Auror interrogation transcript from Ron.
Ron jumped up to snatch it back, but Fred held his head, Hermione raised his wand, and George handed it back.
"Don't be so nervous," George smiled, "how about you talk to us?"
"No!" Hermione retorted.
The twins had to walk away bored, their clothes and hair were all ink and they had to go to the bathroom to wash.
The next morning.
Hardy was eating pineapple pie in the auditorium when an owl delivered Braden's letter.
The procedures for using Veritaserum were being applied for, the Auror office was insanely busy, and Malfoy's manor was visited by Catwoman Keira again.
"See how Malfoy still laughs at you this time!" Ron hammered the dining table vigorously, pushing this morning's "Daily Prophet" to Hermione.
"If I can," Ron stuffed a piece of sausage into his mouth, "I'll give an award to Kayla, the catwoman."
After reading the contents of the newspaper with Harry, Hermione said, "But she's a thief, and now the whole Ministry of Magic wants to catch her!"
"What the hell is she looking for?" Harry whispered, but Hermione couldn't answer either.
Just then, Hagrid walked into the Great Hall.
He was wearing that long moleskin coat and was swinging a dead polecat with one big hand.
"How is it?" Hagrid walked to the staff table, looked at Hardy with great interest and said, "I'm going to class after lunch! I got everything ready at five o'clock this morning... I, finally Going to be a teacher... really..."
"Good luck, Hagrid," said Hardy, smiling, "but remember, always think about the safety of the little wizards."
"Of course," Hagrid held the dead polecat again, and invited Harry and the three of them to his class, before turning to eat breakfast.
"I don't know what he's been preparing for?" Ron said, with a hint of worry in his voice.
The little wizards were all rushing to their first class, and the auditorium gradually became less crowded.
Ron looked at his timetable, "Come on, we're going to Transfiguration class."
After eating breakfast in twos, they walked outside the auditorium.
When they passed the Slytherin table, they saw that Draco Malfoy looked very bad, which made Ron feel warm all over.
After coming out of the auditorium, Hardy wrote Brayden a letter back.
"There is a detail. Mrs. Pince once picked up your memory ball, right? At that time, the memory ball was still flashing red light frequently, which shows that it worked."
"I'm guessing—of course, just guessing, maybe Mrs. Pince really forgot something, maybe including what happened that night in the Sirendo Library."
Hardy sits behind a desk in his office, quills rustling.
"Using veritaserum on Mrs. Pince rashly is probably not a polite behavior, and other professors in Hogwarts will not agree."
"I'll ask Madam Pomfrey to do a check on Madam Pince to see if she's ever been oblivious to someone else, just like Neville Longbottom was done before."
……
After lunch, the three of Harry happily came outside the castle to attend their first class on protecting magical animals.
The sky has just had a light rain, showing a refreshing light gray color, the green grass under the feet is wet, and it is very elastic to step on.
Hagrid stood at the door of the hut waiting for the young wizards, Fang the Hound stood at his feet, and seemed impatient to go.
"Come on, come on, hurry up!" he called as the little wizards approached, "I've got something nice to show you today! It's been a wonderful class! Is everyone here? Well, come with me." bring it on!"
Hagrid walked around the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Five minutes later, they found themselves outside a small paddock with a dozen or so animals they had never seen before.
They have the body, hind legs and tail of a horse, but the front legs, wings and head of an eagle.
Its grim beak was the color of steel, and its large, bright eyes were orange.
The claws on the front legs are half a foot long and look formidable.
Around the neck of each was a thick leather collar, fastened by a long chain.
"The Hippogriff!" Hagrid yelled happily, waving at them. "How pretty, isn't it?"
The little wizards all took a step back.
"Okay—who wants to pet them first?" Hagrid rubbed his hands together. "It's easy, just a little bit of politeness."
After hearing this, most of the young wizards backed away again, and even Harry, Ron, and Hermione were suspicious.
The hippogriffs, with their ferocious heads tossed and powerful wings spread, seemed unwilling to be chained like this.
"Nobody?" said Hagrid, with a begging look on his face.
"I'll do it," said Harry.
Malfoy's voice sounded next to him, "Oh, Potter, it seems that you have forgotten the death prophecy on yourself?"
Hermione glared at Malfoy, and Ron said loudly, "You should pay more attention to your own manor, and don't be patronized by Catwoman Keira again!"
"Honestly, maybe she's going to Malfoy Manor, and it's as easy and pleasant as coming home, isn't it?"
Malfoy's face turned gloomy, but Hagrid immediately stopped their quarrel, "Look, Harry is almost there!"
Everyone looked and saw the hippogriff bending its scaly front knee in an unmistakable bowing gesture.
"Good job, Harry!" said Hagrid ecstatically. "There - you can pet him now! Pat it on the mouth and go!"
Harry thought he might as well reward him for backing away, and he walked slowly towards the hippogriff, holding out his hand to it.
He patted its beak a few times, and the hippogriff lazily closed its eyes, as if it liked it very much.
The young wizards all cheered, except Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, who seemed to be very disappointed.
The hippogriff flew Harry around the paddock before returning to the ground.
Hagrid then started encouraging the other young wizards to try and get in touch with the other hippogriffs in the paddock.
Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle chose Buckbeak.
It had bowed to Malfoy, who was smacking its mouth, looking smug.
"It's easy," Malfoy drawled, loud enough for Harry to hear.
"I've known for a long time that this must be the case, since Potter can do it... I dare say you are not dangerous at all, are you?"
He said to the Hippogriff, "Are you not, you big ugly beast?"
With the help of Crabbe and Goyle, Malfoy rolled onto Buckbeak's back.
"Maybe that goddamn catwoman, Keira, came down from the sky into Malfoy Manor on this," Crabbe said.
"Oh," Malfoy patted Buckbeak on the neck, "If that's the case, next time my father will definitely use a spell to shoot that despicable thief and this ugly big beast out of countless big holes!"
The strong and plump wings flapped suddenly, and Malfoy let out a piercing scream.
Buckbeak directly led Malfoy into the sky, circled the paddock a few times and then flew towards the Forbidden Forest.
"I'm dying!" Malfoy yelled, and the other young wizards panicked. "I'm dying, look at me! It's going to kill me!"
Buckbeak flew away, and Malfoy's voice could not be heard clearly.
"You're not going to die!" said Hagrid, turning very pale. "You all go back to the castle—I'll find someone to save Malfoy—"
The little wizards in the Protection of Magical Creatures class were all frightened and went to the castle talking a lot.
The Slytherins were complaining loudly about Hagrid.
"He should be fired immediately!" Pansy Parkinson said through tears.
"It's all Malfoy's own fault!" said Dean Thomas curtly.
Crabbe and Goyle listened, flexing their muscles aggressively.
Everyone stepped up the stone steps and came to the empty hall.
"I'm going to tell Professor Snape!" said Pansy, as they watched her run up the marble stairs.
Still muttering bad things about Hagrid, the Slytherins headed for their basement common room.
Harry, Ron and Hermione went upstairs to Gryffindor Tower just in time to see Professor Ollivander coming back from the owl shack.
