Chapter 185 Flying Car
Chapter 185 Flying Car
The three of Hardy came to a spacious room with a dome.
"This used to be the utility room of the Ministry, and now it has been cleared out to park the flying cars." Braden walked in front and greeted Bob Gilly who was carrying a bucket.
"Thanks, Bob, I hope I didn't interrupt your work," Braden said, ripping open the huge canvas. "We're lucky to have the last one, and lo and behold!"
What was displayed in front of everyone was a classic antique Ford car with a black body, reflecting a vague cold luster under the light.
"This one is far worse than Ron's." Hermione's face was filled with anticipation in an instant.
Braden coughed a few times, and said helplessly, "Ha, this is the style specified by the Minister of Magic, and it completely suits his taste."
Glancing at Bob Gilly who had gone away, Braden said in a low voice, "Your opinion is surprisingly consistent with the big guy."
He pulled out his wand and tapped on the roof of the flying car. With a bang bang sound, the front and rear doors were opened, and Braden got into the driver's seat first.
"Gentlemen and ladies, it is a great honor for me to drive the flying car for you today," he bent over and groped for the structure inside the car, "Okay, we are about to set off—"
……
after an hour.
A rickety car rushed out of a huge sewage pipe in London.
"Professor, I don't think letting Mr. Smith drive is the right choice." Hermione gripped the seat in the car tightly. "He spent four or ten minutes studying how to start the car."
Shaking the steering wheel left and right with both hands, Braden shouted at the top of his voice: "This is really great, don't worry about me, Miss Granger!"
After waving the lightning wooden wand to stabilize the bumpy flying car, Hardy sighed, "She is worried about her own safety."
"Oh, thank goodness," said Hermione with relief, "I just got hit on the head with a troll's club."
Above London, the towering steel buildings retreated quickly, and Hermione lay her hands on the window, looking down curiously.
"Now--"
She puffed out her chest proudly, "I'm just like Harry and Ron—it's nothing unusual to ride a flying car."
"Twenty-ten minutes before we arrive at the Sirendo Library, assuming Brayden's driving doesn't go wrong," Hardy said.
"What did you say?" The howling wind outside the window made Braden a little deaf, "I know, thank you for your compliment!"
Hermione pursed her lips and looked at Hardy, "Maybe he heard something wrong."
"People always only want to hear what they like to hear." Hardy shook his head helplessly.
The short-term freshness faded, and Hermione sat on the brown seat of the flying car, and spread out the "A Little Magic" magazine she carried with her.
"Memory Corridor?" Seeing the huge headline in the magazine, Hardy raised his eyebrows, "I haven't seen this theory for a long time."
Hermione raised her head with interest, "Professor Ollivander, what do you know?"
She pointed to the signature of "Courteney Cox" on the magazine, and asked, "How did she come up with this idea? The memories of wizards are actually stored in an invisible corridor!"
"Well, that's really weird," Hardy said. "I thought this paper, which lacks factual support, would not have been published."
Hermione adjusted her sitting posture, "Can you close the window? Mr. Smith, Professor Ollivander is going to share something interesting with us."
"I'm willing to help." Braden waved his wand and closed the car window.
Hardy looked at the photo of the old witch in the magazine and said, "That was before I went to teach at Hogwarts, and I visited this Ms. Cox."
"Because of what?" Hermione hurriedly asked, but she quickly shut up.
Hardy did not explain his experience of losing his memory, saying: "This witch from the United States has a lot of ideas and has been cultivating in the field of memory magic for many years."
"You may not know," he said with a meaningful smile, "that Gilderoy Lockhart was once her assistant."
"Oh--"
Hermione and Braden's eyes widened at the same time and let out a gasp.
From Hardy's mouth, the two learned that Lockhart, who had just graduated from Hogwarts, had served as Courteney Cox's research assistant for two years.
And during that time, combined with Courteney Cox's research, he practiced his oblivion spell perfectly.
However, in the summer of the third year, Lockhart chose to leave in view of the fact that Courteney Cox's memory magic research had no practical results.
"Ms. Cox once said that she would break the leg of the traitor Lockhart. I believe she will welcome us warmly when she hears the news that he was thrown into Azkaban."
"Be careful!" Hermione screamed suddenly.
Braden quickly turned the steering wheel to the right to avoid the falling flying car from hitting a tower in London.
"Memory magic? Ha, what did that old American witch discover?" Braden asked enthusiastically.
"The storage, blocking and disappearance of memory," Hardy said: "In her theory, every wizard has his own memory corridor."
He raised his wand, and snapped out a piece of parchment and an automatic quill, "Like this structure."
Hermione grabbed the parchment and carefully observed the "back" structure on the parchment.
"And then?" She looked away from the parchment, and suddenly saw Hardy's serious expression.
"Can you speed up and get rid of what's behind you, Brayden?" Hardy said.
"What?" Braden asked in a daze.
then.
"Hey, why is it getting dark all of a sudden?" A huge shadow suddenly enveloped the flying car, and it was only then that Braden understood what it was.
dragon!
A giant Kodiak green dragon!
Soaring across London and flying cars.
"It's coming at us!" Hermione hugged the "A Little Magic" magazine tightly, her face turned pale.
A rumbling sound came from the rear of the flying car, "Hurry up, go faster buddy!" Brayden tapped the steering wheel with his wand.
The body vibrated, and when the sharp claws of the Kodiak Green Dragon fell, the flying car finally picked up its speed and jumped out.
An ear-piercing sound came from above the heads of the three, and the icy cold wind poured down the cracked ceiling, blowing the robes of the three to bulge.
"Braden, turn left!" Hardy reminded loudly, the body of the flying car flipped over, avoiding the huge billboard dangerously.
"Seven days and seven nights, this billboard has finally been erected," an installer said contentedly to his fat colleague, "I can go home for dinner tonight."
After the deafening sound, a vague green shadow passed by, and a big hole exploded on the exquisite billboard.
"I don't think...it's too good..." The two Muggle installers looked at the scrap iron plate falling in front of them, their expressions were full of bewilderment.
what happened?
Where did the hole in the center of the billboard come from?
What just hit it?
"It's really eyeing us!" Hermione turned her head and shouted on the rear window of the flying car, "It's right behind!"
"As long as this big green guy doesn't spew flames at us, there's nothing to worry about," Braden said confidently.
Then a green pillar of fire swept past the window to his left.
"Quick! Quick! Quick!" Braden almost stepped on the seat, "You iron guy, can't you fly faster?" he yelled.
In the blue sky, the huge Kodiak green dragon is surrounded by strong winds, continuously spewing green flames, trying to shoot down the flying car in front of it.
"Go to the outskirts of London," Hardy leaned out the window, waved his wand and threw the Iron Armor Charm, colliding with the flying flames.
The huge thrust made every iron plate of the flying car creak.
"All petrified!" A ray of light shot out from the tip of Hardy's staff, hitting the green dragon's thick eyelids, and wiped out a series of broken lights.
Taking advantage of the short gap, Braden hurriedly drove the flying car towards the deserted outer suburbs of London.
