Warhammer: My Mother Sanguinius

Chapter 33 The gate of heaven opens, and the grace of the human emperor descends on the red earth wo

Kano charged at the forefront of the battlefield.

What you see is scarlet.

The ground was covered with shapeless corpses and burned and scrapped vehicles.

Various crude fortifications.

There are also irregular craters formed after the gunpowder exploded.

Boom!

A ball of fire exploded not far away from him.

Kano rolled over with the help of the shock wave and hid in a sunken hole not far away.

The pungent metallic smell of burned promethium engines, the bloody smell of burned corpses, and the sulfurous smell of Karak gunpowder were all mixed together.

Filled his nasal cavity at once.

The thunderous roar of artillery fire came from every corner of the battlefield.

He suspected that his ears were deaf.

Any sound coming from the surroundings seemed extremely distant.

He struggled to raise his head.

The ruins of the city were less than two hundred meters away from him. The mutants with bat wings on their backs swooped down from the rails surrounding the city, roaring and attacking with their claws.

Ta-ta-ta!

Cano's three accurate shots.

He tore the wings of the three mutants apart and watched them fall from the sky in horror, then smashed into pulp with a pop.

Kano grinned, his chest filled with hearty pleasure.

laugh!

A dark beam of light shot out from the fortress at an extremely fast speed but made no sound.

The cold and dangerous beam spread like a poisonous snake.

It obviously didn't touch the ground, but the blood-soaked sand was torn apart layer by layer.

A straight ravine was drawn between the defense line, defenders, armored remains and offensive troops, ending with a loud roar that shook the earth.

Huge shells gouged countless holes in the steel, and the plasma turned the rock into boiling atomic fountains.

In the radiation cloud that was spread all over the plasma, he saw the torn corpses being lifted up.

"No!"

Kano roared in pain.

Among the corpses, he saw the bloody faces of his friends and companions.

Click!

The thick turrets in the fortress turned again.

Prepare to launch in the direction of the densest crowd, regardless of friend or foe, just to kill and please the evil god.

"Damn bastard!"

Boom!

Kano raised his hand and mobilized all his spiritual energy.

In anger, the lightning he threw appeared red and spanned a distance of a hundred meters.

The heavy beam generator from the old night era in the fortress instantly overheated and overloaded, and then turned into a huge fireball. More than a dozen mutants were mercilessly swallowed by the overflowing plasma and turned into charred and stinky corpses.

"Charge, charge!"

He saw Radolon leaping over potholes of mud and sand that had melted into lava.

Everything is bathed in fire.

There was no place that was not molten, and the ground was a steaming mixture of blood and mud.

Radolon roared like an angry lion and charged into the army of mutants. He fired volleys of explosive bombs, chopped with swords and axes, and reaped the lives of the enemies like a black whirlwind, tearing a gap in the defensive front. A bloody gap.

"kill!"

Excessive release of psychic energy exhausted Kano's body.

There was a dull pain in my head, as if something was rolling and stirring.

But he had no time to rest.

charge!

He rushed straight through a burning wall of fire. His exposed skin was covered with blisters, his hair was singed, and his red and swollen scalp was exposed.

Blood flowed from his eyes, nostrils, and ears, and his internal organs were traumatized by an infrasonic bomb.

He followed Radolon, and more and more companions appeared beside him.

victory!

Almost caught it!

Destroy this filthy city and kill every mutant inside!

Click!

First there was a crisp sound.

Kano's fighting rhythm was interrupted, and he raised his head blankly.

In front of you is a huge steel ruin, which may have once been a large shopping mall. Now only the mottled steel frame and some dusty glass are left.

The moment the sound came.

The glass shattered, then rapidly bulged outwards and exploded.

Flames spurted from the shattered building, its walls shattered by an overwhelming violence.

A huge metal tower more than thirty meters high roared out of the building, like an ax smashing open a shield.

The monster was as tall as the wall it stood against.

Arcs of electricity flickered in front of it, oily vortices swirling around it.

Its front is covered with huge bronze faces, layered on top of each other, seven in total, as weird as a totem pole in a savage world. They screamed, and what came out of their mouths was not tongues, but continuous beams from heavy cannons, leaving molten lines on the walls.

Behind Kano, a wall of fire shot into the sky. The dazzling light and heat overwhelmed everything.

Kano opened his mouth wide.

He was almost completely deaf, and the despair in his heart caused him more pain than the scars all over his body.

This monster should not exist in the world. Such a huge body should have completely crushed the steel frame inside.

But it appeared in front of him alive, the face on the tower was twisted and grinning, mocking the frailty of life.

Its huge shovel pushes the rubble flat and crushes it forward.

Harvesting life ruthlessly.

And then—boom!

A huge explosion woke Kano out of despair.

An angel appears!

She fell from the sky, her wings covered with scarlet blood and blackened bullet marks, her beautiful face filled with intoxicating anger.

Just a crisp, powerful dive landing.

Then the metal bulletproof coating on the top of the tower was torn apart, and the mutant hidden inside was crushed by unimaginable force and turned into a scarlet sandstorm.

Boom!

The top towers burned and exploded.

The contaminated steel twisted and exploded, and the huge face was filled with pain.

Kano even heard the monster howl.

The angel continued to charge downward, invincible.

Layer after layer of metal towers were crushed and devoured by explosive munitions.

Blue-purple ionized gas mixed with bloody smoke spurted out from every open shooting hole.

The monster was wailing.

Struggling violently, waving the giant metal arms on both sides randomly.

It no longer fired at the pure-blooded people, but changed its direction under the angel's punishment.

Smoke and dust billowed all the way, more than a dozen fortresses were torn apart by black lasers, and hundreds of mutants were crushed by this force.

The tortured war machine traveled a thousand kilometers.

A broad road leading directly to the central fortress was laid out in front of Kano, with blood flowing on both sides and mutilated corpses of mutants everywhere.

Boom!

The final explosion came from the machine itself.

The rotting metal monster was consumed by fire, the metal incinerated in acetylene flames.

The figure of the angel rushed out of the boiling smoke and jumped into the sky.

At the end of the battlefield, in the palace transformed from the square, an old man wearing a scarlet robe held a scepter, his skinny face full of neurotic madness.

"Your reign is over, monster!"

The angel trampled the old man's body under his feet, and the irresistible force forced him to kneel down.

In the posture of an executioner, out of divine and just revenge!

The moment of judgment has arrived!

The knife rises and the head falls!

The age of old night ends and the age of light comes.

Kano seemed to be hit by a huge current, his mind went blank, and he almost forgot to breathe!

It was a long time before he heard cheers.

A wave of cheers sounded.

From the inside out, lasting.

Kano was just about to join this grand celebration when he felt something wet fall on his face.

His first reaction was blood.

But that's not the case, the liquid is cold and not as viscous as blood.

Then the second, third, trickle of transparent liquid fell from the sky with an intoxicating touch.

"Yes - rain!"

It actually rained on Parcel, which was something I had never imagined.

The last record was from the golden age thousands of years ago.

Some common sense has been subverted.

He raised his head blankly.

Then--

He saw unimaginable creations and indescribable splendor.

The gates of heaven opened, and the grace of the Emperor of Mankind descended on the red earth world.
