Chapter 101 02.000: ‘Remarks on the Bookshelf’
Dear citizens of the Empire, I am Luo Yuan, the clerk in charge of writing this book in the Terran Court of Documents.
This book will be on the shelves tomorrow. I am very grateful that you have followed me until today. I am very grateful for your support.
I have carefully read the comments and feedback of each reader when I have time, and also analyzed and summarized the shortcomings and defects of this book so far.
This book is the first real online article I have written seriously. The road of cultivation is long and arduous, and there are many details that are still being explored and learned. In the future, I will continue to improve my ability to write long stories, make up for my shortcomings, and strive to bring readers a story that is worth reading and not broken.
I am a fantasy and history enthusiast, and also a Hammer fan. I like medieval and 40K, Demon Hunter, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I especially like to ponder the ‘majority’ in the other world, that is, mortals. Their lives, their culture, their customs, and their spirit.

Although 40K is a grimdark worldview, in which most mortals live in a world of suffering.
But I like the stories of mortals in the series such as Commissar Cain, Eisenhorn, and the Dawn of Fire. They have their own emotions and their own stories. Whether the ending is tragic or funny, I always empathize with them.
Every time I finish reading, I will sigh about the complex evil and virtue in this world, be amused by Commissar Cain's optimism and humor, and be moved by his fearless sacrifice. There are many stories in this world that make me feel sad.
I also like Space Marines. The Blood Angels is my favorite parent group, and the Lamenters is my favorite daughter group.
The transformation and spirit of the Blood Sons have added a lot of hope and beautiful expectations to this dark world.
They went from the 9th Legion "Ghouls" that everyone feared to redemption under the leadership of the perfect Primarch who radiated glory, which formed a sharp contrast with Angron and his war dogs. One led the devils to become angels, and the other led the angels to the devils.
Sanguinius is too perfect, so perfect that I fell in love with him the first time I saw him, so perfect that I knew he would die without watching the sequel.
Because his perfection and noble spirit doomed him to destruction in the end. This world cannot accommodate such a perfect person.
But I am very curious about what he will do before he dies. Finally, after I finished reading the Horus Chronicle, End and Death 3, The Destruction of Baal, and the story of the Lamenters with curiosity, I completely fell in love with the Blood Angels, these imperfect angels who even become cruel after triggering blood thirst and black rage.
'Even if I am a monster, I am Sanguinius's monster, not yours (Khorne)! '
Because too many regrets condensed in my heart, I later wanted to use my relevant knowledge reserves to write a mortal story with the theme of the Imperial Navy. I think the Imperial Navy, which travels in the star sea to protect the human territory, is romantic, fearless, and brave. In this decadent and dark world, it has an adventurous heart.
But land battles are also indispensable, and the protagonist will be "seconded" to the Star Army for service.
A mortal, although a single person does not have too strong power, the human spirit includes virtues such as unity, sacrifice, and mutual assistance. They can control warships and use the greatest war weapon of mankind to smash monsters. He can also unite and use wisdom and charm to perform some seemingly impossible feats.
I hope to write Horatio Cochrane as a "person". He is not a perfect person. He has the seven emotions and six desires and selfishness that everyone has. He will even do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, even if he does not hesitate to break the rules.
But he must be a "person", a human being, a human being with normal human thinking, a person who fights to keep humans alive in this dark world, a person who wipes away tears for the one he loves, and fills the missing blank in the heart of the female character with action.
'Even if the world is dark and boundless, we can definitely do something and will never sit and wait for death. Even if those bastards think that we are trying to stop a chariot with our arms and overestimate our abilities, we can definitely light the fire and illuminate the darkness. ’
However, since I am writing fan fiction, although I know that many things do not conform to the official setting, I do not want to write a story that is too bitter and full of hatred, because the tragedies of Sanguinius, Rogal Dorn, the Lamenters, the Astral Knights, etc. are already very tearful.
I am not a person who can be cruel enough to write tragic tragedies. I like hope and dawn, not meaningless death.
I hate to mindlessly attack in order to highlight the deep darkness and cruelty of the world. I think the sacrifice in tragedy must be dedicated to the continuation of more people's good wishes and expectations, which can make people feel hope and light in the future, and victory is just around the corner.
The real world is already tiring enough, why should I and the readers put myself in the shoes of the protagonist and only suffer bitterness and hatred?
Therefore, the story in the back of this book, at most, is "the vitality and brilliance burst out in despair, and complete the refreshing counterattack and counterattack".
This is also the core idea I want to express - "Civilization is everlasting, and human glory is everlasting."
No matter how desperate the situation is, as long as we work together, hope and victory will eventually come. Even the four gods cannot play with us. God Emperor bless us.
Sacrifice, yes, but I will focus the emotion of sacrifice on the minor characters or a few supporting characters. I don't want the protagonist to lose a lot, nor do I want to kill the people he cherishes and loves one by one, even if this is cruel 40K.
So, if E the Great Demon kicks some dead supporting characters from the Golden Throne back to the real universe to continue serving mankind, please forgive me.
For all the plot lines that seem to be a bit cruel, I will try my best to arrange a warm ending, so that readers will not feel too "unsatisfied".
Please read on if you see the relevant plots, and don't give up.
Finally, I hope that readers will like this story, and I hope that readers can give a first order tomorrow to support it. Thank you!
