Umbrella Corporation

Chapter 24: Reclaiming the Umbrella

Steve rolled over and threw himself in front of Natasha and Alicia, with his vibranium shield erected to block the flying gravel and shrapnel for them. Google Search Reading

"Is he dead?" Alicia almost stood up from her wheelchair, her eyes full of excitement.

Compared to whether Isaac was dead or not, Tony was more concerned about whether this place would collapse due to the vibration caused by the explosion.

It turned out that his worries were unnecessary. The underground construction capabilities of the Umbrella Company were worthy of recognition. The fireworks carried by the mechanical prosthesis were very powerful, but they could not shake the hard soil layer.

"Roar!"

The fire gradually disappeared, and a staggering figure loomed in the dark dust.

Isaac staggered out of the smoke, and he felt a little headache now.

When others saw his appearance, they couldn't help but gasp, and their impression of the horror of the T virus deepened.

Because now the upper part of Isaac's head has disappeared, and the position of the head has been replaced by three terrifying tentacles.

The suit shirt was completely torn by the missile, and the exposed chest was charred. There were countless flesh tentacles on the charred black, like a box of entangled mealworms, impacting everyone's vision.

"Shit, I may not be able to enjoy dinner tonight!"

Tony raised his left hand after saying that, and another missile was ejected from his forearm.

The missile dragged the tail flame and hit Isaac's chest, and the explosion rose again.

There is nothing that a bullet can't deal with the monsters in the biochemical crisis. If there is, then another bullet.

Tony's missile is like a bullet. If one bullet doesn't work, then two bullets. If two bullets are not assured, he also opened the small missile compartment on his shoulder and fired sixty small missiles that are as powerful as grenades at Isaac.

The continuous explosions completely engulfed Isaac's body. Isaac never stood up again, and his body turned into a pile of pitted rotten meat.

Although his people are dead, the T virus is still alive. If the body is put into the repair chamber and repaired with nutrient solution, he can eventually come back to life.

But no one would do that.

"Finally solved!" Natasha breathed a sigh of relief, and then there was a heavy sound of footsteps behind her.

The pursuers with Gatling guns and rocket launchers came late!

Less than a minute after they appeared, Tony, who turned around, smashed his head with several palm cannons.

"It's over, everything is over!" Tears flowed down Alicia's old face. In the past ten years since her father's death, she had imagined the current scene countless times, and finally one day her dream came true.

She was supposed to die because of progeria. Now that the obsession in her heart has disappeared, Alicia has no reason to live anymore.

She thinks that the T virus is the source of all tragedies. Even if she can be re-injected with the T virus to become younger, she doesn't want to do it.

"By the way, are you from the White Palace?"

Thinking of the T virus, Alicia's slightly narrowed eyes reopened, looking at Natasha and the other two with gratitude.

"..."

Natasha looked at Steve, Steve looked at Tony, and Tony looked at Natasha.

I didn't say it, just because the three of them had some concerns, worried that a bad answer would have some impact on Duncan.

Tony and Steve had already learned from Natasha the identity of the woman in front of them. She was the owner of Umbrella Corporation. Unlike shareholders with greater power like Duncan, she was someone who could influence the company's decision-making, and it was not easy to deal with her anyway.

Tony put the armor into silent mode, which meant that the voice would not be heard, and secretly said to the other two: "I'll contact Duncan, let him come and take care of it himself."

Not long after, Duncan, who was drinking ice cola in a suburban warehouse, received Tony's communication and jumped up excitedly.

"Tell her the truth first, I'll come right over!"

Twenty minutes later, Duncan led James' team and Sam to the shelter under the hive, and saw Isaac's body as he wished.

"Tsk tsk tsk!"

Looking at the charred body, Duncan kept making tsk tsk sounds, and his playful eyes looked like a big villain through the cover of the gas mask.

Alicia, who was in a wheelchair, narrowed her eyes when she saw Duncan. She recognized Duncan before he took off his mask and said in surprise, "Is it you?"

"Long time no see, Ms. Alicia!" Duncan half-crouched in front of Alicia's wheelchair, took off his gas mask, and smiled.

In fact, Duncan didn't know Alicia's name. He only knew it after Tony told him.

"You are very special, and you also brought me a surprise!" Alicia also smiled, looking like the kindness of an elderly person, but she was actually only in her twenties. "I was going to contact you, but you were exposed too quickly, and I thought you were dead."

Duncan also wanted to discuss the equity transfer with Alicia. Two paragraphs of conversation gave him countless questions, so he was led astray before he could say anything meaningful. "You wanted me to solve Isaac from the beginning?"

Alicia nodded slightly and said in a serious tone: "Because the real Duncan Aremus is dead, you are his clone, a very special person who has escaped fate!"

?

Duncan was stunned, and the others who heard the explosive news also looked at Duncan in disbelief.

A clone with flesh and blood and thoughts?

As if she took Duncan's confusion as bewilderment, Alicia comforted him softly: "You are not a puppet with broken strings. Compared to you who have gained freedom, I am the puppet being controlled. You are better than me! I have seen anger in your eyes. These emotions should be forgotten with Isaac's death. The rich memories in the future will be rewoven into a complete life. You, are you!"

Duncan pursed his lips in silence, wanting to say something, but swallowed it back at the tip of his tongue. In the end, he just nodded his head up and down with a complicated look.

It's not that he minds that his body is a replica. Can't he know what he is?

It's just that all the abnormal details are connected together, so that his brain can't turn around for a while, and he feels that this state of being comforted is a bit strange. He doesn't know how to refute it, so he shows this expression and eyes.

These performances are seen by everyone, causing everyone to misunderstand and sympathize with Duncan.

This is inevitable.

Steve felt even more strongly after hearing this, because he was an old man who crawled out of an ice coffin, and he should have died at the end of World War II.

If Nick Fury, the black-boiled egg, told him one day that he was actually a replica of the real Steve Rogers, he might fall into self-doubt for a long time.

So, Duncan, he is a replicant, maybe less than ten years old?

"Thank you..." Alicia finally said thank you to Duncan sincerely, and then wanted to close her eyes and wait for death.

Duncan saw that Alicia wanted to close her eyes, kick her legs and throw them into pieces, and anxiously called out: "Wait! The truth is indeed cruel, but the crisis has not been resolved. If possible, can you transfer your shares and position to me?"

Alicia opened her eyes again and asked in confusion: "What do you want the company to do?"

"The virus has spread in the air, and the citizens killed in Raccoon City need compensation from the company. The control of various bases in the world also needs to be taken back from the ambitious people. These are not things that can be solved by a few people alone."

Alicia stared at Duncan's eyes, and Duncan was not afraid, letting her look at his sincere eyes.

After a long time, Alicia nodded, "Okay."
