Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#215 - Get a new pet
After leaving Quirrell, Moon searched for some magic books about curses in the library.
The content recorded in these books was exactly the same as what Quirrell had said, and some places were even less thorough than Quirrell's explanation.
"This professor's level of knowledge is really elusive."
Because curses belong to the category of dark magic, most of the related books are also in the restricted section.
Moon could only see a very small part of them.
But even this small part made him realize that Quirrell's magical knowledge was far from as scarce as he showed.
"Perhaps I can notify Dumbledore."
After putting all the borrowed books back to their original places, Moon left the library directly.
He didn't know if Dumbledore was aware of Quirrell's suspicion, but as a gift in return for the gift he received, Moon felt it was necessary to remind the headmaster.
After leaving the library, just as he reached the corner of the corridor on the second floor, Moon noticed Snape hiding in the shadows of the stairs.
For some reason, this professor always liked to stay in places where the light was not very bright.
This added a touch of gloom to his already worried face.
Following Snape's gaze, Moon found that Professor Quirrell was being pranked by the Weasley twins again. This time, the twins didn't create a big snowball, but found a magical tool similar to a horn,
dividing the space inside into several small spheres.
Using [Thunderbolt Explosion], they pushed the small snowballs out fiercely.
Then, Quirrell's light gray robe had many more snow prints on it.
However, even though he was battered by the snowballs, Quirrell still tightly stroked his ugly hat.
Even after tripping several times while dodging the snowballs, his left hand never left the hat.
"Professor, do you also suspect Quirrell?"
Hearing the voice of a young wizard, Snape looked over with a displeased expression.
After discovering it was Moon, the Potions Professor put away his ugly expression, and his brow relaxed a lot.
"You worry too much, Scarlett. Right now, you should study magic hard, instead of paying attention to these things."
"Okay, Professor, but haven't you told Dumbledore about your suspicions?"
Having participated in the transformation of two of the Philosopher's Stone guarding challenges, Moon was very clear that the heads of the four houses were responsible for the layout and guarding of one challenge each.
However, compared to other professors, Snape was obviously more concerned about this matter.
"It's useless, I think what Dumbledore wants is not just catching the murderer."
When Snape said this, a helpless expression appeared on his face.
He had actually explained his suspicions to Dumbledore long ago.
However, this headmaster, who was considered very wise by everyone, refused to investigate Quirrell on the grounds that there was not enough evidence.
This made Snape puzzled, and at the same time, he secretly made up his mind to catch Quirrell in the act.
Moon guessed from Snape's words that perhaps the head of Slytherin did not support the headmaster's idea. However, since Dumbledore had not adopted Snape's opinion, Moon no longer planned to go to the headmaster's office to explain his suspicions.
Seeing Snape staring at Quirrell all the time, Moon didn't bother him and left directly.
He still had many things to do, and one Quirrell was not worth spending all his time on.
On Thursday afternoon, Moon finished making the remaining two rune collars.
He was just about to go to Hagrid's hut in the Forbidden Forest to give the collar to Hagrid.
However, he ran into Hagrid dragging a huge fir tree with difficulty towards the hall before he even left the castle.
"Hagrid, the collar is ready, you can try it on Fluffy later."
Moon said a word first, and then immediately drew out his old willow wand and cast a [Levitation Charm] on the fir tree.
"Oh, thank you very much, I have to say, the power of your spell is really good."
Hagrid originally used both hands to tightly hold a very thick rope to transport the fir tree.
With Moon's spell help, he found that he could easily drag the big tree away with one hand.
"I just practiced more."
Moon held the wand in one hand, and handed the collar to Hagrid in the other.
"This is the remaining collar, Merry Christmas!"
"Thank you, by the way, I also have something to give you."
Hagrid first took the two collars and put them on his neck, then walked to the fir tree.
"This is a little cute thing I found when I was cutting down this big tree. I waited for a long time and didn't find its parents, so I brought it back."
Hagrid said, reaching out his big hand and digging into the tree hole of the fir tree.
Moon watched him all the time, until Hagrid took out a chick that was snow-white all over.
"Is this an owl?"
Moon looked curiously at the little bird in Hagrid's palm.
Its feathers were already full, snow-white all over, and two round eyes revealed a hint of sharpness and vigilance.
"To be precise, this is a snowy owl. I remember you don't have an owl, so it's very suitable to give it to you."
"Okay, thank you very much."
The experience of giving gifts for two consecutive days made Moon realize that having an owl would indeed be much more convenient.
However, the little guy in his hand obviously didn't have the ability to fly and deliver letters yet, and Moon just put it in his warm pocket after taking it.
Casting a spell to follow Hagrid all the way to the hall,
Moon found that Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were busy arranging various Christmas decorations.
Professor Flitwick gently waved the wand in his hand, and many glittering little ice pillars appeared on the Christmas tree, as well as some windless ribbons, which were very beautiful.
Professor McGonagall was holding a wand and fiddling with the candle flames above the hall.
"Minerva, have you had anything happy recently?"
As colleagues and friends for many years, Flitwick rarely saw McGonagall arranging the hall so happily.
In the past, she always did this with a cold face, and during this period, she would keep complaining that Dumbledore had arranged too much work for her.
However, this year's Professor McGonagall was very abnormal. Not only did she take on the job of arranging the hall very readily, but she also hummed a cheerful tune throughout the whole process.
"Yes, you don't know, since Scarlett sent me a magical potted plant, I feel like I have endless strength."
McGonagall said, waving her wand gently, and hundreds of candles floated to the side.
"Oh, that's a good technique!"
"Thank you for the compliment, Filius."
McGonagall was indeed very excited these two days.
In addition to feeling exceptionally energetic, she found that her spellcasting skills had also become much sharper.
This made her sigh more than once that she was much younger.
After arranging all the candles, McGonagall began to help sort out the newly arrived Christmas trees.
"By the way, I found that the Daily Prophet's reporter has come to Hogwarts. Is there anything new?"
Seeing McGonagall took over his original job, Professor Flitwick stepped aside and asked curiously.
"Yes, Snape has successfully improved a potion. It is said that Fudge values it very much, so he asked the Daily Prophet to do an exclusive interview."
"That's right, then it seems that Severus will be busy during Christmas."
Professor Flitwick knew the current British wizarding world very well.
It is rare to encounter explosive news on weekdays.
Now that Fudge has arranged for the Daily Prophet to do an exclusive interview, then Snape will definitely receive reservations from other newspapers or radio stations in the future.
Especially since Snape has a close relationship with the Malfoy family, these pure-blood families will inevitably cheer for him.
"That's right, if I hadn't seen a reporter interviewing him, I would have pulled him over to work together."
After McGonagall finished decorating a Christmas tree, she saw Hagrid and Moon walking in.
"Come on, put it here, I can decorate it right away."
