An 800,000-word summary of four months and a two-day leave request

It was still early today, so I thought about it, but decided to write a stage summary and a two-day leave request.

In short, the production team wrote 800,000 words in four months and needed about two days and one week of rest to summarize the previous content to better complete the third volume.

To make a horizontal comparison, it took me about two months to complete the entire first volume, which has 400,000 words, while the second volume, which has more than 270,000 words, takes less than a month. Occasionally, one day when the state is not good, there will be nearly eight A thousand words of blood collapse.

Before the second volume had time to be revised, the third volume already had another 100,000 words.

This puts a lot of pressure on the plot. To tell a joke, when I was writing the second volume, there was an up who was updating the plot analysis of the Shadow Forest. Then when I finished the second volume, he had not yet finished the analysis. The finale is more out.

On the day I took leave for the second volume, I watched the entire process of Dark Forest for almost 12 hours.

Basically, I do similar things every time I take leave (at least I remember one day that I watched the entire process of Ruined Library for almost two days. I typed it myself before starting the book. After the book started, I ran out of time to catch up on the plot + review). In the past, I only used leave requests twice, and for the other breaks, I basically kept the updates. It was just that sometimes I would write 12,000 a day and send it out in two days, or I would write 8,000 and send it out in two days.

Normally, we update 8,000 words a day, which is 240,000 words a month. However, I updated almost 440,000 words in two months, so I need to take a break.

In the past two days, I have completely changed the beginning of the first volume. The effect of adding comments and subscriptions is obvious, but the reading keeps dropping. I basically know why. After all, I wrote eight chapters in three hours. With more than a thousand words, no one jumped out to scold me for what I wrote. I am already very grateful.

But even so, this update habit is not friendly.

I revised the entire first volume probably three times. Finally, this time, I cleaned up a large amount of setting text and deleted some interpretations and descriptions of supporting characters. This basically conforms to my writing principle of doing more first and then condensing (the peak of the first volume is 400,000 words, which is almost still there now). It has 370,000 words, and only the first 46 chapters with serious problems have been changed. The rest of the content will be revised in depth after the second and third volumes have been revised).

[Being concise and to the point takes time, and excellence requires diligent pursuit. 】

I have been practicing this for so many years. Compared with the state when I just opened the book in December, I am satisfied with my growth. However, the accumulation of errors since the second volume has made the current update speed somewhat unsustainable.

It needs to be adjusted, sorted out, and it is necessary to look back calmly and objectively to see the role that the second and third volumes play in the outline of the work. Delete and revise what needs to be modified, and add weight to what needs to be polished and added.

In the next two days, my main focus will be on revising the article. I have accumulated more than 10,000 writer points, and I am going to use up two opportunities to ask for leave. If there is another accident after that, use 10,000 points to exchange for a third time.

After the changes are completed in two days, I will look at the situation (whether there is a lot of content that needs to be adjusted) and restore the 4 to 8 thousand updates. If the situation is particularly good, I will rush to the battle rankings.

Qidian recently launched a burst update feature, which caused me to lose my collection for two days in a row. This is both a good thing and a bad thing.

There are battle power lists and explosive update tags, as well as daily "poison" guides. The rest is to continue preparing to produce good content.

Thank you for your continued support and for your new support.
