This Actor Is Full Of Tricks

#35 - The one who likes to follow is Wang Tianshu, what does it have to do with me?

At night, Lin Jue lay in bed scrolling through videos, searching for paranormal content.

Videos of ghost hunting were scarce; most people valued their lives too much.

However, there were still a few ghost-hunting bloggers who frequented places where strange events occurred, using this as a gimmick to gain traffic.

About half of these bloggers hadn't updated in a very long time, most likely because they had actually encountered something paranormal and met their end.

The remaining three were still active, with the most popular blogger, named Qiao Kang, having just over 100,000 followers. His latest video was titled [Dragon Locking Mountain Tunnel, I'm Coming Soon].

The video was posted three days prior and was filmed from a first-person perspective.

The screen showed a young man of about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with a clean-cut buzz cut, panting for breath.

The background was a dark mountain forest, with the swaying trees resembling standing black figures.

This young man should be the blogger Qiao Kang.

It has to be said that this guy was really brave, entering a remote mountain forest alone, not worried about encountering hidden paranormal entities.

"Family members, that's Dragon Locking Mountain Tunnel over there." Qiao Kang stood on the hillside, pointing the camera down the mountain.

About a hundred meters below, there was a deserted highway, with warning lines and collapsed steel wire fences on one side.

On the other side was a tunnel. In the picture, the entire highway and tunnel were pitch black, without a single light. If the camera didn't have night vision, nothing would be visible.

Qiao Kang's voice slowly lowered, deliberately creating a terrifying tone: "It is said that this tunnel had strange events occur ten years ago, before the mist appeared."

"Some truck drivers, after entering the tunnel at night, claimed to have seen a woman in red with only half a body waving inside the tunnel."

"Moreover, this tunnel had frequent car accidents from the beginning of its construction, resulting in at least ten deaths, and eventually had to be sealed off, with the highway rerouted around Dragon Locking Mountain."

As Qiao Kang spoke, he turned the camera back to himself: "Family members, that's where I plan to go next. Also, everyone can sign up in the comments section to go with me."

"What secrets does the Dragon Locking Mountain Tunnel hold? Does the legend of the woman in red really exist? We'll see in the next episode."

Qiao Kang waved goodbye to the camera. At the end of the video, Lin Jue seemed to see a black figure flash past under a tree behind him.

The comments section of this video was not friendly. Since the arrival of the mist, everyone seemed to be more irritable, and most of the comments were scolding Qiao Kang for seeking attention and creating panic.

However, the traffic was indeed high. In this world with paranormal entities, ghost hunting itself was a very attractive gimmick.

In addition to the abusive comments, there were indeed a few people who signed up, but Qiao Kang didn't reply, not knowing if he hadn't seen them or had sent private messages.

Lin Jue turned off the video. This guy Qiao Kang was really going all out for the sake of popularity. Dark and desolate abandoned tunnels were the best places to hide dirt and grime.

The 'Liar' script was probably about teaming up with this guy.

He was about to bring up the panel to accept the script when he suddenly heard a knock on the door.

The sound came from next door, very softly, as if worried about being heard by others.

Lin Jue immediately pricked up his ears, turned off his phone, and listened carefully.

It wasn't that he was gossiping about other people's affairs, but as a warm-hearted person, he should always pay attention to whether his neighbors needed help.

In less than three seconds, the sound of the door opening rang out. Just like last time, that middle-aged man seemed to be waiting specifically behind the door, waiting for someone to knock.

Less than ten seconds after the door opened, it closed again, followed by a burst of footsteps in the corridor.

Something's not right!

Someone knocked on the door, but why didn't anyone speak after the door opened? Even if it was a delivery, they would say your delivery has arrived, please give a good review, and so on.

And that sound of footsteps…

Before the knock on the door, Lin Jue hadn't heard any footsteps, but now, after the door closed, there was the sound of footsteps.

There was only one possibility, the footsteps belonged to the neighbor, and the person knocking on the door had no footsteps!

A person with no footsteps? Walking barefoot?

Lin Jue quietly got out of bed, secretly went to the door, and gently opened a crack in the door.

Looking out through the crack, he saw two figures walking towards the stairs in the corridor.

One was the neighbor, and the other figure was very tall.

It should be around two meters tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with the hood covering his head.

That person's footsteps were in sync with the neighbor's, but only the neighbor's footsteps could be heard.

A strange person.

From Lin Jue's perspective, there was no black gas present, which meant that this guy wasn't a paranormal entity.

A person with no footsteps, either it's deliberate, or they're walking on tiptoes.

"Should I follow them and see what's going on? The neighbor is going out with a strange person late at night, what if something happens?"

"As a model of warm-heartedness, it shouldn't be a problem to care about the neighbor's safety, right?"

Lin Jue opened the door a crack, then closed it again: "Forget it, they've already left together, they must be acquaintances, I don't have a habit of stalking people."

At the moment of closing the door, the pajamas on his body turned into a checkered shirt, his appearance became younger, and the calm eyes gradually became decadent.

Then he hid the fruit knife in his sleeve, opened the door, and while the two turned into the stairwell, he quietly followed them.

Now it was Wang Tianshu who was following those two people, what did it have to do with Lin Jue.

Anyway, in the 'Under the Bed' script, Wang Tianshu always liked to stalk and take secret photos.

When he got to the stairwell, he didn't rush down, but stood at the stairwell and listened carefully to the footsteps.

"Second floor…"

"First floor…"

When the sound of footsteps rang out on the first floor, Lin Jue quietly walked down the stairs.

Walking out of the unit building, he followed the two from thirty meters away, this distance was not enough to lose them, and it was not easy to be discovered.

The two seemed to be very afraid of being discovered, turning left and right, and finally drilling into a dark alley.

Lin Jue hid by the wall outside the alley, sticking out his eyes to look into the alley.

The two stopped in the middle of the alley, the middle-aged neighbor holding a bizarrely shaped jar in his hand, and that jar was constantly emitting black gas.

This guy actually has a paranormal artifact?

Where did these ordinary people get this thing? First Mr. Zhu and then this middle-aged neighbor, both inexplicably possessing paranormal artifacts.

The other person's head was completely shrouded in the hood, and he couldn't see what he looked like.

"I am definitely the most loyal believer in the New World!" For some reason, the middle-aged neighbor suddenly knelt down, his tone panicked.

New World?

Isn't that the madman organization?

Lin Jue continued to peek, he didn't hear the other person's voice, but the middle-aged neighbor seemed to have heard something extremely terrifying, his body trembling: "Soon, soon I will be able to raise the Gu King."

"It's not that the jar you gave me is not working well, it's my own problem."

Gu King, jar.

Lin Jue captured the key words, he stared at the jar in the man's hand, it seemed that this strange jar was used to raise Gu, no wonder there were so many strange insects in this guy's house.

"Create paranormal events as soon as possible, otherwise you will have no chance," the hooded man finally opened his mouth, it was a man's voice, very muffled as if he was talking with his mouth covered.

The middle-aged neighbor hurriedly nodded: "Okay, okay, as soon as the Gu King matures, I will create paranormal events."

"I have already selected the target, it is my neighbor next door."

Speaking of this, that guy's tone became cold: "That kid is always suspicious all day long, always peeking into my room, he should have noticed that I have a problem, my first paranormal event will start with him!"

Wait a minute.

Is he talking about me?

Putting his hand on his heart and asking himself, Lin Jue believed that he was definitely a reassuring good neighbor, but the other party actually wanted to attack him!
