The Witcher: Elemental Lords
#311 - Youth Program
Two teams of horses passed by Dorai, not even glancing at him, and quickly moved forward. Before long, the horses behind began to pant heavily, and one by one, they collapsed, foaming at the mouth in the twilight.
The group of bandits quickly became exasperated, cursing in the wilderness.
They had no idea who had done it.
Dorai stood in the darkness, a faint smile on his lips, then slipped back into his tent to continue resting. He accomplished his task and vanished, his merit and name hidden.
On the morning of the ninth day, Dorai received a message.
He crawled out of the tent and saw the sun just rising in the eastern sky, its blood-red light illuminating the earth, tinged with a hint of purple. Dorai solemnly said to Baal, who was beside him, "Lord Baal, today will be the day of my rise. Bear witness."
Baal, now in the form of a puppy, walked out grumbling, "Rise my ass. Wait until you're Level Six before you talk about rising."
Dorai chuckled, "Once I have enough magic cores, it'll be a piece of cake."
Baal looked at Dorai, becoming somewhat dissatisfied. This guy was getting cocky lately, relying on his good aptitude.
"Hmph, do you think it's that easy to advance? For Level Four, you need to understand the essence of meditation to advance. For Level Five, you need to fully understand the rules governing the operation of some elements; otherwise, the power will be insufficient. Advancing to Level Six is relatively simple: maximize the destructive power of a single piece of witchcraft. But even that requires a certain degree of understanding of witchcraft, spell models, and the natural world. And when you get to Level Seven, you'll need to pass through the Heavenly Tribulation, which isn't easy. If it were that easy, the world would be full of Level Six, Level Seven, and Level Eight wizards."
Dorai was speechless. "Can't you let me be happy for a bit?" Baal's words immediately deflated him.
He looked at the eastern sky, where the sun was slowly rising, turning into a round, red disc. Then, he began to pack up his tent.
Before long, he arrived at the gate of Wassenburg, entering the city with other merchant caravans.
After casually finding a place to restore his original appearance, he hurried towards Wizard Tower Number Four.
Just as he was about to reach the front of the Wizard Tower, a small group of wizards who appeared to be sightseeing nearby blocked his path.
The leading wizard was a middle-aged man who seemed to have a strong desire to attack. He looked at Dorai and said in a condescending tone, "I don't know what they were thinking, actually listing you as a member of the Young Wizard Project. I represent the Wassenburg Wizard Association and formally notify you that starting September 1st, you will officially become a member of the Wassenburg Young Wizard Sequence. I hope you won't disgrace Wassenburg."
This middle-aged man was very strong. Standing in front of him, Dorai felt a sense of pressure.
Hearing what he said, Dorai asked in confusion, "I don't know what the Young Wizard Project is, nor have I ever joined it. Sorry, please clear the way."
With his current abilities, did he need someone else's support? What a joke.
The middle-aged man seemed to have expected Dorai to say this. He put away his expression and replaced it with a gentle face, smiling, "Haha, I was just trying to give you a hard time. Now, I'm formally notifying you that in three days, the Northwest Glory Wizard Alliance wants you to participate in an event. The official letter will be delivered to you tomorrow!"
Faced with the middle-aged man's two faces, Dorai was puzzled. What was going on?
There were several young people behind the middle-aged man, both male and female, all with different expressions.
Dorai now noticed them. These young people seemed to be extremely strong and came from good backgrounds. They looked down at him with condescending expressions, seemingly dissatisfied with him, but were hesitant to speak because the middle-aged man hadn't said anything.
Just as Dorai was about to say something, he saw the middle-aged man's expression change. He looked back at the people behind him and said, "Clear the way, those people are getting impatient."
Although the young people were somewhat dissatisfied, they didn't dare to be negligent and quickly cleared the way.
Dorai glanced at the young people, paying particular attention to the ladies, ignoring the others.
It wasn't that he was particularly interested in the ladies, but that these female wizards were too beautiful. Especially two of them: one had a graceful figure, was as aloof as snow, and seemed to have lightning flashing in her eyes; the other had a hot figure and wore very revealing clothes, exposing long legs and arms. The clothes on her upper body couldn't contain her erect breasts, revealing a large expanse of fair skin, which made him couldn't help but take a second glance.
He only took a few glances before hurrying towards Tower Number Four.
Dorai's series of actions were all seen by everyone.
All of them were members of the Young Wizard Project, proud geniuses of the entire Northwest Province.
The young people looked at Dorai with arrogant and disdainful expressions, while the middle-aged man quietly watched them, carefully observing their expressions and actions.
Of course, Dorai's gaze didn't escape the middle-aged man's observation either. This little guy didn't look at anyone else, but carefully examined the two ladies. Hehe.
However, the aloof and snow-like girl didn't pay any attention to him at all, while the hot-bodied one seemed to be somewhat interested in Dorai, seemingly admiring his gaze.
The middle-aged man had a headache.
He looked at everyone, coughed, and said, "That one is the only professional among this year's group, a pharmacist who also studies bio-potionology. If you underestimate him, then I'll think you're all blind. In a certain environment, he alone can take on all of you."
Hearing "bio-potionology," the young people were stunned.
What, bio-potionology? The Empire is actually letting him wander around outside."
Some people even felt a chill in their hearts, and magic shields were reflexively activated, covering the surface of their bodies.
There were ten of them in total, but only eight had arrived, with one person yet to report.
Four men and four women, making exactly four pairs.
"Bio-potionology, and he's only a Level Three wizard? How is that possible?"
After all, a person's experience is limited. It's impossible to achieve such a high level in elemental magic and still have better achievements in other areas.
The middle-aged man curled his lips. "He's a Level Five pharmacist. The level of his bio-potionology is unknown, but based on current information, it should be above Level Five. So, don't underestimate anyone. You're still missing one person. When will the Lei family girl arrive?"
No one spoke.
At this time, the cold and icy woman spoke, "She should be here tomorrow. Her family may be assessing her qualifications recently."
The middle-aged man's lips curled up slightly. "Hmph, a boring family. A genius is a genius, and no amount of obstruction is useful, let alone the Violet Lightning Body. The Lei family's leaders are getting worse with each generation."
Everyone was a genius, and when they heard about the Violet Lightning Body, they were all somewhat moved and somewhat unconvinced.
One rebellious young man stood out and said, "The Violet Lightning Body also needs resources. If the Lei family doesn't give her resources, she probably won't have any way to improve."
The middle-aged man looked at the young man and said sarcastically, "You're all geniuses, I know, but you probably haven't truly experienced the terror of an Elemental Body. Your families may have warned you not to easily offend Elemental Bodies. Do you know why? Because an Elemental Body is itself equivalent to an Elemental Tower, constantly drawing elements into the body. Even if she doesn't cultivate, she can automatically enter Level Three at eighteen. If the cultivation technique is advanced enough, reaching Level Five at eighteen isn't difficult either. The Lei family has truly buried talent."
