The Witcher: Elemental Lords

#152 - Source of purchase

“Please speak.”

Dore took out a piece of paper from his pocket, then took out a pen and began to write and draw on it.

Sano only glanced at the contents of the paper and immediately understood many things. This guy had just arrived and heard that he was being targeted by the Potion Hall. He wanted to open his own medicinal material channels. In this matter, could he use himself and others?

Immediately, his eyes lit up.

Dore finished writing and handed it to Sano, saying calmly, "For the things on this paper, I am willing to purchase them at 20% above the market price. The extra will be considered your benefit fee, but I must get them. I will provide you with the mental power potion within half a month after I get the materials."

Sano nodded frantically, a sigh of relief in his heart. This was just his first step: repairing the relationship. The second step was to see if he could be his assistant and steal his techniques. But things had to be done one at a time, no hurry. Anyway, this guy was in Ramu Tower and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Everyone continued to eat, but the atmosphere was much more relaxed.

Halfway through the meal, Gudos walked in from outside with food. He glanced around, then looked at the others, and suddenly felt that the atmosphere was a bit strange—too harmonious.

Just then, he saw Sano and the others raising their glasses to him in a flattering manner.

Gudos looked bewildered. What was going on?

Back in the room, Gudos asked about it. Dore explained it to him, and Gudos immediately grumbled, "If you want something, I can prepare it for you. You still have to find them? You're really going too far."

He felt that his self-esteem had been severely hit.

Dore coughed and said, "It's not that I don't trust you, but they are nobles and have more channels. I just arrived and need a lot of materials, as well as a new alchemy table. This broken thing will be thrown back in a few days."

He glanced at the alchemy table on the table. It was too old, and the magic patterns on it were also very ancient. Some magic patterns were simply on the verge of collapse. How could he use this?

Gudos's mouth twitched. He knew his disadvantage. He wasn't a noble and didn't have connections, so he could only sigh.

He thought for a while and said, "Then I want to learn alchemy from you."

Dore nodded, "Okay, you can be my assistant."

Gudos's spirit immediately lifted. "No problem."

Time flew by, and five days passed.

Dore obtained the academy's map, knowing where to go and where not to go, where to practice martial arts, where the library was, which books were open to wizards, which books were open to warriors, and so on.

The next day, he sat in the library inside the largest mage tower, like a hungry ghost in a book, greedily absorbing all the knowledge, of course, starting from the most basic knowledge.

He needed to start learning everything from the essence of mental power, the essence of wizards, the energy basis between heaven and earth, and everything else.

Of course, this didn't involve meditation techniques.

Meditation techniques were controlled items in the Glory Empire. You could only learn them by paying money. So, Dore was reading various theories about basic knowledge.

Time slowly came to the sixth day. Gudos's materials arrived. So, he obtained a borrowing card, took a few books, and left the mage tower, returning to his room.

There were many people reading in the mage tower's library. The old man who handled the borrowing cards was unfathomable. He only glanced at Dore's waist badge and helped him process the card without saying much.

This made Dore feel a little strange. Did he recognize the badge but not the person?

Back in the room, Sano had already bought all the medicines he could buy. At least more than half of the list Dore gave him was on the table.

Naturally, all the most important materials for the mental power potion had arrived.

Dore counted all the medicinal materials, categorized them, and placed them in the storage room.

Then, he directly refined a level 3 mental power potion. His own mental power potions were empty, and he needed to use them himself, so naturally, it was a priority.

Gudos was now full of enthusiasm. As Dore's assistant, his enthusiasm for learning was very high.

However, level 3 potions were still very far away from him. He would have a hard time even refining a level 1 potion. His mental power control was too poor.

But being an assistant was still possible.

About two hours later, the first batch of mental power potion liquid was successfully produced.

Dore looked at the alchemy table with dissatisfaction. This thing was too inaccurate, and several magic patterns couldn't be used.

A new level 3 alchemy table would cost at least three to five thousand gold coins. Many alchemists usually went directly to the Alchemy Hall to rent one. The difficulty of refining this thing was very, very high, so the value was not low at all. If he wanted to buy a brand new one, it would take several months to save money.

Mental power potions made money, but the target audience was still too low. The number of level 1 transcendent wizards in the entire Waltz City was actually not that many, while there were as many as six or seven level 3 potion masters. He still needed to compete with them. Dore's market was actually not as strong as he imagined.

After the first batch and the second batch of medicines were sold, the demand in the market was not that great, and he also felt pressure from other aspects. Someone seemed to be suppressing his market, deliberately lowering market prices.

All of these were operated by Gudos, while on Sano's side, he only imported enough raw materials. After a period of time, Sano's raw materials also slowly became scarce.

But at this time, Dore was no longer satisfied with mental power potions, and developed strength potions, agility potions, eagle eye potions, and other level 3 potions.

There were few wizards, but there were many warriors.

And at this time, Gudos saw Dore's terrifying potion-making talent. For one potion, he could figure out the rules after failing a few times, and then he could quickly create a finished product. Moreover, the success rate could quickly reach over 60%. This terrifying ability was simply heaven-defying.

Time quickly came to mid-August.

Sano had been having a headache these past few days, because the raw materials he could find in the market were becoming increasingly difficult to find. Even if he mobilized several partners together, the amount of things he could buy was getting less and less. He quickly knew the truth: several other forces that were even stronger than them were also buying related medicinal materials, and at very high prices.

Nearby farmers and other professionals in the academy were very willing to sell things to them, so their supply channels were greatly affected.

Now everyone knew that a new potion master had come to the academy, and that they were the ones serving that new potion master.

Sitting in the room, Sano looked at his good friends, his face showing difficulty, and said, "What should we do? It's getting harder and harder to collect Underworld Grass now."

"Those guys from the Cecil family are too much. And the Waltz family. It seems like someone is deliberately targeting us," Huaite thought for a moment and said.

Sano was the only potion apprentice among them, the core of the group, but Huaite was the strongest. He was from the Terrisi family, one of the three major families in Waltz City, and had some small influence, so it was easy to find out the truth of the matter.

"The problem is, what do they want to do? Offend a new potion master?" Next to Huaite, the young Charlie became a little puzzled.

Huaite shook his head and said, "I guess not. They should be trying to force him to submit and be used by them."

He continued, "I heard that Vice Dean Nico once wanted to win over this newly arrived potion master, but was warned by Dean Ramu."

When everyone heard this, they began to speculate, "That makes sense!"
