The Witcher: Elemental Lords
#1239 - force
Dore immediately thought of many things. His mind raced, conjuring up images of nobles, princes, and dukes, running to this godforsaken place to find some heir, and, by the way, discover a pharmacist. Or perhaps it was a young master from some large power, doing shady things here and incidentally befriending a pharmacist. Or maybe some big shot was doing some secret things here. But what did that have to do with him?
He shook his head and said, "This has nothing to do with me. No matter who your master is, as far as I'm concerned, he's a nobody, hiding his head and showing his tail, afraid to be seen. Who he is has nothing to do with me. Take all this stuff away. I won't do business with him in the future."
*Peng*, the door slowly closed, and a storage bag floated in front of the steward.
The steward's face instantly stiffened. Damn it, he hadn't finished speaking yet.
The storage bag was returned untouched. The steward was actually a little dumbfounded. There were many good things inside that could definitely make a level six or seven wizard kneel before him. But the other party said no and meant it. He was just too awesome.
However, an eighth-level potion, a powerful pharmacist who could concoct the Thunder Demon Potion, really didn't need to look at these things. As long as he could guarantee the success rate, what was this little bit of money? He could earn it back in a little time.
The master's side might have been too hasty. Perhaps coming in person would have been better. Now it was over, and they had offended the other party.
The steward put away the storage bag, touched his nose, and was about to walk outside.
As he walked to the stairwell, the steward's path was blocked by a figure. A small pharmacist steward appeared in front of him.
In front of Dore, he might not be able to act freely, but in front of a management staff member of the Pharmacist Guild, the steward was particularly tough. He only glanced at him and said, "Who are you? Why are you blocking my way?"
Ansair, seeing the steward like this, cursed in his heart. He had come back with a bruised ego and was putting on airs in front of him. But he respectfully said, "Respected, uh, Steward, it's like this. Did you just go to Pharmacist Dore's place?"
Although he didn't know who the steward was, being able to come up at this critical juncture meant that the real higher-ups of the Pharmacist Association had spoken. No one dared to offend the person behind him, so he was able to come here. No matter who it was, their identity was definitely very astonishing.
For an eighth-level pharmacist, that person had put in a lot of effort, even using favors from the higher-ups of the professional association. This showed that the other party was sincere in trying to win over Dore. However, the fact that the damn Dore didn't accept the offer was intriguing and gave Ansair, who saw the situation, some room to maneuver.
The steward frowned and looked at the other party, wondering what this guy meant. Did he have a grudge against Dore? Could he help him put in a word?
He thought about it and said, "Yes, what's the matter with you?"
Ansair nodded and respectfully said, "It's like this, Dore is a newcomer who hasn't been here long and is under my jurisdiction. If you have anything, I can help you talk to him. Of course, that requires your approval. If it succeeds, my service is free. If it doesn't, let's pretend we never met?"
The steward was a little puzzled when he saw the other party like this. He had experienced Dore's temper. Would he listen to a small steward?
He thought about it. The task the master had given him must be completed. So, he thought about it and said, "Okay? But if it makes the other party even more annoyed, I will hold you responsible."
His tone suddenly became stern.
Ansair muttered in his heart, how much angrier could he make him? What could happen if he got angrier? That would only make you angrier at Dore, and it had nothing to do with me.
He smiled and said, "I'll try my best." He thought to himself, "If you could quarrel, that would be the best."
He immediately held out his hand and said, "Please come with me." He puffed out his chest, held his head high, and walked towards Dore's room.
Before long, the two came to Dore's room again.
The steward looked at Ansair. Ansair coughed and then gently knocked on the door.
*Dong, dong, dong.*
Dore was thinking about where that person came from. Being able to come up alone to his door meant that he must have great power.
The pharmacists in the Wizard Tower were treasures of the professional association, especially the eighth and ninth-level pharmacists, who were even more valuable talents of the entire Wushang Province and were protected by many layers. Without the permission of the professional association, they couldn't come up at all unless Dore himself went out.
Now that someone could walk in, it must be someone from a high level who had spoken to the upper levels of the professional association.
He was still nominally a seventh-level pharmacist and hadn't been promoted to the eighth level yet. However, the Thunder Demon Potion was already tacitly acknowledged as being concocted by him. This matter had already spread to the upper levels, and he could consider himself as having eighth-level treatment.
The fact that this steward could come up meant that the other party's background was not small.
It was just that the other party's actions were disgusting, and Dore really didn't intend to entangle with them.
Just then, there was a knocking sound at the door, so he frowned and walked towards the door.
Opening the door, Dore frowned when he saw the person.
Ansair, and that unknown steward again.
He was about to close the door immediately, but when he was closing it, he thought for a moment, what exactly did this guy want to do?
Ansair still had a professional smile on his face. He smiled gently at Dore and said, "Wizard Dore, you may not know, this person represents a big shot and the big shot's family. They are very sincere."
The steward also sincerely said, "We are really very sincere, Wizard Dore. You have already seen our sincerity."
Dore looked at the two, not knowing what they wanted to do.
He thought about it and said in a deep voice, "I don't care what your status is, and I don't care who you are. I'm just a potion maker. There's no need to treat me like this, because I know I'm not worth you doing this. Steward Ansair, I know very well what you're up to. I'm only a seventh-level pharmacist now, not an eighth-level pharmacist yet. How about you come back and invest when I truly become an eighth-level pharmacist?"
When the steward heard this, he immediately had an opinion of Ansair. This Pharmacist Dore had an opinion of this guy.
He looked at Ansair.
Ansair's face was a little stiff at this time. Dore was so uncooperative.
The next moment, his face changed. A level eight wizard's aura suddenly rose from his body. His aura was like a fiery purgatory, slowly rising, as if it would rush towards him in the next moment.
Seeing this, the steward frowned slightly. A similar aura rose from his body, like a mountain, firmly standing in front of him, even standing in front of Dore, helping him block this aura.
He frowned and said, "What are you doing?"
Ansair snorted coldly when he saw the steward's action. "This Dore is so ungrateful, Steward. I suggest reporting to the higher-ups and expelling him from the Pharmacist Association."
The steward was stunned.
