The Witcher: Elemental Lords
#1013 - Unstable foundation
Dore thought that Aivy would be miserable when he came over later, definitely miserably forced into marriage.
However, that guy has recently gotten together with a woman, but it's not clear what the situation is. With Aivy's status, that woman would at most be a concubine. The main wife still has to be chosen from the nobility. There's no doubt about that.
This world is a world of nobles. Although nobles can marry commoners, the ending is generally not good.
After coming out of the Wizard Tower, it didn't take long to reach the gate of the City Lord's Mansion. Dore's family was already waiting: Dore himself, Aiche herself, Elrella, and two children, one held in her arms and one standing on the ground.
When Monica saw her grandparents arrive, she immediately ran over happily. She knew that the last time she saw her grandparents, she received many gifts.
"Grandpa, Grandma."
Monica, who was less than a meter tall, ran over and hugged Westlin's leg.
Westlin and Lauren immediately beamed with joy. Westlin squatted down, hugged Monica, kissed her twice, and then whispered in her ear, "Later, when your dad isn't around, Grandpa will give you a gift."
Monica looked back warily, then turned back and nodded quietly.
"Grandpa, how long are you staying this time?" Monica asked loudly.
Westlin looked at Lauren, who was looking at him expectantly. He had no choice but to hand the child back to Lauren.
Lauren hugged Monica and smiled happily, "I'll stay longer this time. We'll leave when your parents chase us away."
Monica immediately became excited.
Usually, her parents are very strict, so it will definitely be better with her grandparents here.
Aiche stepped forward at this time and said with a smile, "Mom and Dad, let's go in. What are you standing at the door for?"
Westlin nodded. He didn't have a child in his arms at this time, and he didn't know where to put his hands. He looked at Elrella and said in a low voice, "Princess Elrella."
Elrella bowed slightly and said obediently, "Your Highness Prince Westlin."
Westlin nodded. It had been so long, and these two should get married. So he turned to Dore again, "When are you going to the Imperial Capital to propose marriage?"
Dore had a headache and could only follow his words, "I have to wait until Emperor Yale returns before I can propose marriage. Otherwise, with my father not here and only my mother, it's not in accordance with etiquette."
Westlin lowered his head and thought for a while, then said, "Well, that's right. The Northwest War is over now, and Brother Yale is about to go back. We must resolve this matter quickly. Before reaching Level Seven, quickly have two more children, otherwise it will be difficult to have children when you reach Level Seven."
Dore nodded numbly, thinking, 'Did you come to see your granddaughter or to find trouble for me?'
He took a step forward and said loudly, "Let's all go in."
The group began to go in.
Lauren hugged Monica, and Westlin took Brian from Aiche's arms and loved him very much, teasing him all the way.
The child was not afraid of strangers and laughed loudly as Westlin teased him.
They walked in all the way, with laughter and joy. Before long, they arrived at a courtyard that had already been cleaned up.
The courtyard was just right for a family to live in, with three main rooms, a hall, and a large courtyard. There were various facilities in the courtyard, but it was obvious at a glance that it had just been built not long ago. The newly planted trees had not yet grown up and were still very small saplings.
But even so, it was remarkable to have such a courtyard in the city center.
Westlin knew at a glance what Dore had built this courtyard for, to receive them, these relatives of the imperial family. The entire courtyard was almost the same as the one in their home.
As soon as they entered the courtyard, Aiche stood beside Lauren and said with a smile, "How is it? Is it the same as home? It's just that the trees are a little small."
Lauren walked along, saying, "Well, it's okay. It just lacks some historical atmosphere. But that's not important. What's important is that you two put your heart into it."
"We're just here to see our grandchildren. Where we live is not that important," Westlin glanced at Lauren and defined the courtyard.
Aiche smiled faintly, "Then it has to be comfortable to live in. We don't have any servants here, so we'll have to trouble you to do it yourselves."
Westlin nodded, "We military people all do it ourselves. It's okay. You go do your things. Just give us the children, and call us when it's time to eat." He looked at Dore with a look of disgust.
Before Dore could interrupt, he was a little dumbfounded.
"Um, I'm not busy here. Also, should we call Aivy over? I heard that he's been in love recently."
Dore prepared to call himself a fellow sufferer.
As soon as he said this, Lauren and Westlin's ears perked up at the same time.
Lauren thought, 'Didn't this child say he wasn't looking? Now he's found someone.' So she asked, "What's her status? Which family's girl is she?"
Dore said, "The daughter of a merchant. They're talking about it now. There are some difficulties in terms of status, but there's no problem with being a concubine."
Lauren sighed. This child is really worrying.
So she said, "As long as there's no problem with her status, then talk about it. Quickly have a son and a half daughter, and fulfill our wish. If it really doesn't work, Westlin, that girl will do."
Westlin nodded, "They came to talk about it again a few days ago. I declined because the distance was too far. If it really doesn't work, let Aivy go back and meet her. He's not young anymore."
Monica was in Lauren's arms, listening with interest. Her grandparents were preparing to forcibly assign a wife to her uncle. Interesting, interesting.
Lauren nodded and said, "Aiche already has two children, and Aivy is not married yet. Ridiculous."
The two of them defined Aivy with one sentence after another.
Dore secretly laughed in his heart, finding a scapegoat.
He waited for the two to finish speaking, then said, "Then let's have a banquet tonight and call everyone over to meet, how about that?"
"Okay."
The matter was settled. Dore went out of the small courtyard. He was indeed redundant here. Elrella stayed behind.
Westlin's arrival brought a touch of vitality to the family, turning it from a family of five into a family of seven. Plus, Aivy came here every night to freeload, and the City Lord's Mansion gradually became lively.
The four families learned that Westlin had come, so they also sent people to ask questions. For a time, the City Lord's Mansion, which had always been deserted, suddenly became lively.
Dore didn't like the hustle and bustle. He occasionally went there, said a few words, and then left.
In the Turin Bone Tower of Mount Albis, Aiche's true body stood opposite Dore's silicon-based clone, with blue and black light constantly flashing in her eyes.
Using the perspective of silicon-based creatures, Aiche was advancing rapidly on the path of the Ice and Snow Goddess, almost touching the threshold of the rules.
But her mental strength was still a little weak. This was also a sequela of the rapid improvement in the past, the foundation was unstable.
