The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts
Chapter 150 150. The Auror finally arrives
What happened next was not what Scott expected.
Although Dumbledore announced the news about Medea at Hogwarts, the next day's Daily Prophet treated him as a joke.
The headlines on the front page that day were like this -
"Hogwarts Disaster - Ministry of Magic urges wizards to wait for official investigation results".
This report apparently came at the behest of the Ministry of Magic.
In the article, officials from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement claimed that the case was "still under investigation," but "some clues have been drawn" and hoped that everyone would wait for official news and "don't believe it lightly."
At the long table during breakfast time, Eddie put the finished newspaper on the table.
He pointed to the headline on the front page and said: "This report has absolutely no substantive content. Its biggest effect is to deny the news announced by Dumbledore."
"They claimed that their investigation had some results, but they did not announce any progress of the investigation." Roger smiled sarcastically.
"They didn't investigate at all!" Eddie curled his lips, "We didn't even see an Auror in Hogwarts!"
At this time, Scott was already looking at the next page of the newspaper in his hand.
""The Daughter of Slytherin Reborn"? A breakdown of Dumbledore’s lies over the years."
This article by ace journalist Rita Skeeter further criticized Dumbledore's "lying" behavior and stated that this was "not the first time" for this "old fool".
She also listed Dumbledore's other nonsense in the article.
She believed that Dumbledore's most outrageous lie was that he continued to remind students of the threat of You-Know-Who, more than a decade after He-Know-Who had disappeared.
"Dumbledore is obviously still obsessed with his past glory," Rita Skeeter commented. "He hopes that the students will worship him and still regard him as the spiritual leader against the mysterious man."
The second outrageous lie listed by this reporter was that Dumbledore called the murderer of the "Hogwarts Massacre" the daughter of Slytherin.
"He created a character who did not exist in modern times and invented a legendary person to attract others' attention."
Rita Skeeter's biting satire.
"He hopes that such shocking news will draw everyone's attention away from the problems at Hogwarts, but no sane wizard will believe such an overly obvious lie."
As for the third most outrageous lie Dumbledore ever told, he "praised piles of cockroaches many times as the most delicious candy."
Rita Skeeter doesn't agree with such nonsense. She believes that "everyone knows that sizzling honey candy is the most delicious."
"..."
Seeing this, Scott couldn't help laughing.
He did not continue reading, but flipped through other pages of the newspaper and found that today's newspaper was full of comments on this matter from multiple angles -
"The Hogwarts School Board of Trustees is convened, and Dumbledore may be removed from the position of principal."
"Discussing why the Daughter of Slytherin cannot survive for thousands of years from the perspective of magic theory".
"Parents of current Hogwarts students call on the school to strengthen school safety management."
"Inside Information - A certain Hogwarts student believes the murderer is an unknown magical animal."
"Tsk, what a huge formation."
Scott sighed.
This situation is not good. How can Dumbledore resolve it?
Nowadays, people inside the school are also panicking. If some tough measures cannot be taken in time, there may be more troubles in the future.
"My mother wrote me a letter and said she would take me home."
"My dad said the same thing."
"Maybe I will transfer to another school. Beauxbatons in France is very good. My cousin goes to school there."
"I want to go to Durmstrang."
Scott heard the surrounding students talking, and some of them were even ready to leave the college.
At this moment, Professor Flitwick walked into the auditorium.
"Mr. Trollope!"
He stood at the door of the auditorium and waved to Scott.
Scott quickly stood up and walked over under the gaze of everyone.
"The Minister of Magic has brought the Aurors to the school." Professor Flitwick whispered, "Follow me, you need to go to Minerva's office."
"Okay, Professor."
Scott responded and followed Professor Flitwick out of the auditorium.
Are the Aurors still here?
"Professor," he asked softly, "Why did the Auror come today?"
"Ms. Slytherin broke into the Ministry of Magic yesterday!" Professor Flitwick replied softly, "She was already gone when Dumbledore rushed over."
"What?"
Scott didn't expect that what he said yesterday would actually come true, but Dumbledore didn't mention it last night.
"What did she do in the Ministry of Magic?" he asked curiously.
Professor Flitwick shook his head, "I don't know, the Ministry of Magic has blocked the news."
"What about today's newspaper?"
Scott was speechless. He suspected that the Auror's visit to school today was just a formality.
Professor Flitwick looked very angry, "Oh, the newspapers are full of nonsense today! Those damn things!"
"Why did they do that?" Scott couldn't figure it out. "In this situation, what's the benefit of offending Dumbledore?"
"They really think it's just a witch pretending to be Slytherin's daughter! And they know it's not scary to offend Dumbledore like this, and there's no price to pay!"
Professor Flitwick said through gritted teeth.
"If there is a crisis in the wizarding world, Dumbledore will still take the lead!"
Scott was speechless.
The Ministry of Magic's actions were too shameless.
But he still wanted to ask clearly, "Are they trying to deny the existence of Medea? What should I say later?"
Professor Flitwick looked up at him, "Just tell the truth."
"Okay."
Scott nodded.
The two soon came to the door of Professor McGonagall's office.
At this time, two young-looking Aurors were guarding outside the door.
After seeing Professor Flitwick, they all smiled respectfully and helped open the door of the office.
Professor Flitwick nodded and walked into the office first.
Scott followed him and saw two familiar faces at a glance.
It was Shacklebolt and Williamson, the discordant Auror partners turned their heads and looked at him at the same time.
On the sofa on the other side, Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore were talking to a middle-aged wizard with gray curly hair and a sturdy little stature.
Presumably that was Cornelius Fudge, the current Minister of Magic of England.
Professor McGonagall's face was serious at the moment, her lips were tightly pursed, and she looked very unhappy.
Dumbledore and Fudge seemed to be talking happily, and they laughed from time to time.
It seemed that the slander and defamation in the newspaper had nothing to do with him, and his mood was not affected at all.
Such a scene made Scott feel a little weird.
"Mr. Trollope."
Professor McGonagall stood up immediately after seeing Scott.
She walked to the door and told Scott, "Scott, the Aurors will ask you some questions later, just tell the truth."
