The Mountain of Ice and Fire

#2 - One villain, three gangs

The rope was found – a thick, heavy rope.

"Bind me tightly," Gregor roared, his voice like thunder, as if in a rage. "If I break free, I'll crush you all."

The three subordinate officers exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions shifting.

"Do it!" Gregor bellowed.

This sudden roar was like a clap of thunder.

Rafford, Dunsen, and Polliver looked at each other, then, hesitating no longer, stepped forward and began to work.

Rafford, known as Raff or Sweetmouth Raff, was an officer under Ser Gregor Clegane. He spoke softly, was refined, never cursed or insulted anyone, always using sweet words, which earned him his nickname. He had a head of sandy, unkempt hair.

But Gregor, lying on the stone bed, knew that Sweetmouth was a ruthless killer who spared no one, regardless of age or gender, and was quite skilled with a sword. Before transmigrating, this physically weak college engineering student and his roommates were avid fans of American dramas, having watched many classics. Among them, 'Game of Thrones' was a classic he had binged twice while huddled in bed. Compared to anti-Japanese war dramas, American dramas were indeed more captivating.

In the plot of the TV series he had watched, if the world was still the same and the story unfolded as it did, then this Raff would capture Arya Stark, Gendry, and the plump Hot Pie during the upcoming campaign in the Riverlands. Also discovered with Arya was the gaunt boy nicknamed 'Greenhand' Lommy. Lommy, with an injured leg, told Raff he couldn't walk and needed a piggyback. Raff was the one who 'squatted down with a smile, reached out to help Lommy up, and, while gently teasing him, elegantly pierced Lommy's throat with Arya's sewing needle, which he had confiscated.'

This guy had also committed many misdeeds with Gregor.

Last month, Gregor Clegane, under orders from Tywin Lannister, went on patrol along the Red Fork River. At the Riverlands border, in a tavern at the Trident, Gregor took a fancy to the tavern owner's daughter. Gregor turned the 'lucky' girl into a woman publicly on the dining table in the hall before leading his men away. Just because the girl's brother glared at him angrily, he returned alone and silently, blinded the boy, and gently comforted the tavern owner not to be angry, because evildoers like them would surely be punished by the Seven Gods.

Being discreet, silent, smiling, killing, maiming, setting fires, and using refined language were Sweetmouth Raff's strengths. Unlike other officers and soldiers, he preferred to do evil deeds quietly, loyally following the Mountain, never boasting about 'taking down another one.'

The rope was wound around Gregor's thick arms, pulled down to pass under the stone bed, and wrapped around the stone legs of the bed several times.

"Don't strangle my neck," Gregor glared at Dunsen. "Wrap it around my waist more."

"Yes, Lord!" Dunsen's eyes flickered as he forced a smile. He wrapped the thick rope around Gregor's massive body several times.

Gregor stared at this elite soldier of his, watching him sweat as he tightened the rope even more around Gregor's waist and abdomen.

Sweetmouth Raff didn't know why Gregor had ordered them to bind him so tightly, and Dunsen knew even less. Dunsen was braver than Sweetmouth, but lacked his cool-headedness and strategic thinking. In Gregor's army, doing evil was not a simple matter; to do it artistically and elegantly, only Sweetmouth Raff could reach that level. Therefore, among Gregor's officers, Sweetmouth Raff ranked first, and Dunsen ranked second due to his bravery.

In the remembered TV plot, Dunsen was the one who caught the blacksmith Gendry during the pursuit in the Riverlands and claimed Gendry's bull helmet for himself. His name was on Arya's revenge list, right after Gregor and Sweetmouth Raff. Every night before bed, Arya would recite their names.

Thinking of the scene where Arya lay in the rain, muttering the names of these people, Gregor Clegane couldn't help but shudder. If he didn't do something, he could already foresee his end – it would be terrible.

Remembering that in two years, he would be turned into an undead by Maester Qyburn, Gregor shuddered again.

He had transmigrated into the world's number one villain, and his destined fate was worse than death!

If life could be relived, no one would want to transmigrate into the world of 'A Song of Ice and Fire.' It was a chaotic, dark, bloody, and hopeless world. The Others in the North were organizing an army of millions of wights, eyeing the human race and humanoid life with fierce ambition, attempting to sweep across the entire continent in one fell swoop. Across the Narrow Sea, the bloodline of the fallen Targaryen family would rise again with the help of dragons. And around him, the Lannister family, the wealthiest in the Seven Kingdoms, was gradually heading towards decline, division, internal strife, and bloody revenge and being revenged.

It was a noble society filled with lies, battles, massacres, conspiracies, and betrayals. And Gregor Clegane, who seemed to have the highest combat power, was nothing more than a chamber pot under Tywin's crotch. He was picked up when needed, and discarded when he was no longer needed, deemed dirty and smelly.

Who would like a chamber pot? But no matter how great the noble, when night came, who could do without a chamber pot?

Gregor Clegane's notorious reputation had always subjected Tywin Lannister to open and veiled accusations from the nobles of the Seven Kingdoms. Because of Gregor Clegane, the Starks of the North and the Martells of the South kept the Lannister family at arm's length, harboring resentment in their hearts. Especially the South, Dorne, because of the Sack of King's Landing in 283 AC that destroyed the Targaryen dynasty, the entire Dornish people and their ruler, the Martell family, hated Gregor Clegane and the Lannister family to the bone.

Although the current Gregor was an engineering student from Earth with a decent IQ, he admitted that with his three years of college social experience, he would lose to Littlefinger Petyr Baelish in King's Landing in terms of conspiracy, to the Starks of the North in terms of honor, to Oberyn Martell of Dorne in terms of spear skills with snake venom, and to Daenerys Targaryen of the Essos continent in terms of luck. He could only admit defeat and fall to the ground to win.

This made Gregor feel very uneasy.

The one responsible for binding Gregor's legs was Polliver, a small leader in his army. This guy was tall, bald, and had a black beard. His only advantage was loyalty, and his only disadvantage was also loyalty. Any order Gregor Clegane gave, any order, he would risk his life to complete.

This was a guy without a sense of right and wrong. In the language of Gregor's pre-transmigration world, he was a brainless fan of Gregor's.

The fate of brainless fans is usually not good. In the original drama, Polliver died by the swords of Sandor Clegane and Arya.

Gregor could see the top of the tall Polliver's bald head without raising his neck. If he didn't think of a way to change his fate, the end of this brainless fan who followed him would be equally miserable.
