The images on the screen continued to play.

The vast and endless snow-capped mountains stood before Calvin.

Under the mountain, he looked down at his diary.

It read

【Supervisors supervise here】

【I have spent years studying this building, trying to peer into its depths, but with no luck.】

【There is only one entrance: the front door, which is sealed from the inside and guarded by the Foundation’s Red Right Hand.】

【Inside this building you will find the last two Overseers】

【They have never appeared in public since the foundation was founded.】

【I believe the only ones who can enter this silent fortress to meet them are the Overseers themselves.】

【No one else】

【So, I leave it to you, dear reader.】

【All the time and energy I have invested in observing and understanding these thirteen people is presented in these pages.】

【This knowledge will bring you luck or ruin. It is up to you.】

【As for me, I’m going to enjoy the distance I put between myself and them】

【Any other choice will undoubtedly lead you to a dead end.】

【Yours faithfully, Ukulele]

Read to the end.

Calvin closed the journal and placed it on the ground beside him.

He rested on a slope that led down to the valley far below, where he could see the towering steel gates of Site-01. The sun was just beginning to set below the horizon.

But Calvin could see the way ahead clearly.

A winding dirt road led to the gate, the most heavily guarded facility in the Foundation, never breached.

He had destroyed the phone a few days ago.

After leaving Ivanov he was afraid the Insurgency would follow him.

There could be no more distractions here.

He was very close to his goal.

Only half a mile of air and a hundred feet of stone separated him from his fate.

He had placed Olivia’s body in a nearby cave, sheltered from the wind and sun, and away from prying eyes.

He did everything with an apology, and a vow

“I’m going to make things right.”

Calvin muttered.

After leaving the journal, he went down the mountain with only the spear. Night fell over the valley, the stars woke up in the sky, the crickets chirped and the wind whispered. There was no more noise.

“call…”

He took a deep breath and slowly approached the door, alert to his surroundings.

But Calvin saw and heard nothing alive.

A few seconds later.

He was standing in front of two large steel panels, isolated and untouched.

He hesitated.

But decided to reach out and push.

The door was nearly ten times his height.

It opened silently.

He walked into the room behind the door, his eyes adjusted to the dim light here.

The door closed behind him, and he saw a huge room with tunnels and stairs leading to all directions. In the center of the room was a caged elevator, and Calvin approached to study it carefully.

There was only one button on it, but it required a key to press it.

He walked away and continued forward.

At the end of the room was another door, this one framed by the arrow of the Foundation’s mark.

The door frame was a huge stone arch with an intricate pattern.

Monsters and wonders, towering towers and other things on the ground.

A humanoid race worshiping the god of death.

Giant machines dormant under the earth.

Dark and empty eyes.

The faces of nameless animals.

Mechanical armor from a mysterious future.

Towering rows of books stretched out into the endless darkness.

These and many others filled the entire archway, but Calvin did not notice the archway.

What he noticed was the man standing in front of the door.

He had never seen this man before, but something about him looked familiar.

The man’s entire body was wrapped in metal plates, fitting his body like cloth, wires wrapped around the surface of the armor, and steel cables stretched to its back.

At first Calvin was not sure if this was a person.

But under the sharp, smooth helmet were a pair of human eyes, watching Calvin closely from where they stood in the distance.

Calvin held the spear to his side and said in a deep voice,”Who are you?”

“I am a red right hand for the mission.” The man’s deep baritone voice echoed between the walls of the hall.

“I haven’t seen you in South Africa.” Calvin steadied himself.

“I thought you would be with your comrades.”

“I am the mission of the Foundation.”The man continued:”The Foundation resides here”

“To understand me is to understand the Foundation.”

“My words are its words, my voice is its voice.”

In his heart,

Calvin saw the edge of consciousness flash back a memory

【A vague echo of an era, a Foundation agent in the limelight】

【Black hair and blue eyes】

【He laughed a loud baritone】

【He single-handedly drove back a group of Separatist agents.

Calvin prepared his gun with one hand and frowned.

“What happens now?”

“I have been tasked with protecting this sanctuary until O5-1 returns. No one may enter without him.”

“He’s not here?”Calvin cursed inwardly.

If O5-1 had escaped, he might be at the end of the world.

It would take months to find him again.

He couldn’t miss this opportunity.

“No.” The man said without hesitation,”He’s right here.”

With that, the man stepped aside.

Calvin hesitated, his gun still tightly in his hand.

For a second, nothing happened, and then a second, he finally relaxed.

The weapon was holstered, and Calvin stepped forward.

He stepped closer to the determined eyes, but it didn’t move.

It just watched and stepped aside. As he passed through the archway,

“Mission.” Calvin said in a low voice.”Will anyone join us?”

“Won’t”

“Make sure they don’t”

“As you wish.”

Calvin walked into the archway, turned his head and looked back at the mission’s solemn eyes.

Then he disappeared into the darkness behind the door.

The corridor behind the door was not large.

But the stone wall was gorgeously decorated with carvings. Only some vague shapes could be recognized in the dim light.

But they looked more detailed and complex than one.

He ran his hand across the smooth surface, and his fingers felt faces, buildings, and gods in the edges.

In the silence of the tunnel, his footsteps were accompanied by low sounds, which should not be audible in the distance.

But they could still be heard in this place between the earth.

He didn’t walk for long.

Finally, he walked into another room, even larger than the previous one.

In the center was a There was a long, oval table with spotlights hanging somewhere above it.

There were monitors lining the walls.

Each one was switching between different shots.

He saw long hallways, bright lights, the containment facility.

Doctors and researchers sitting in labs.

Security guards standing by the door.

And then there were the monsters – nightmare creatures lurking in and out of glass rooms.

Demons crawling in and out of their own skin.

The motionless statue SCP-173.

Behind everything, hung the largest monitor.

Calvin walked into the room.

The largest monitor lit up, and he saw his scenes.

The moments in his life that had led him to this moment.

【He saw him being sent to a juvenile detention center】

【He was only twelve years old at that time] (To read the exciting novels, go to Feilu Novel Network!)

【He saw himself joining the military and then being approached by an Insurgency agent.】

【He saw himself being trained with other agents and being appointed commander by Delta.】

【The long period of violence and suffering that brought him here】

【Every scene seemed to be overlooked by someone standing behind him, and Calvin felt sick.】

【He saw that he was not rushing forward as he had imagined.】

【But was pulled over】

【His body was tied with a disgusting long string that stretched from where he was to eternity.】

【He saw where the line began and followed it to its end.】

【Across the world, to the border of death and back, now here】

【This room】

【Across the floor, beyond the long table, toward the man at the end of the room who sat on the stairs leading to the screen.

The man wore baggy trousers and a white shirt with blood on the chest and sleeves, and black lines ran down his face.

Something was on the stairs beside him, wrapped in the man’s coat, so Calvin couldn’t make it out.

He took a step toward the man, but the man didn’t move.

“Are you O5-1?” Calvin whispered

“Aaron.” He heard the man say,”My name is Aaron”

“Aaron.” Calvin repeated,”Aaron? O5-1?”

“Yes.”

Calvin nodded and continued,”Where is Supervisor No. 2?””[]

Aaron didn’t answer.

But even across the room, Calvin could feel the chill in the air.

There was no doubt that something unexpected had happened.

“So it’s just you?” Calvin asked

“”Yes.” Aaron replied.”Only me.”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Calvin immediately pulled out his gun and fired five rounds at the man in an instant.

With each shot, he knew the bullets really flew out.

But as soon as they got close to Aaron, they hissed and emitted a bright light and dissolved into the air.

He fired again, but the same result.

So he stopped firing.

“Stand up, Aaron. Calvin put away his gun and pulled out the Spear of the Faithless from his back.

“Let’s get this over with.”

Aaron just sat there, staring at Calvin.”Where did you get that spear?”

Calvin didn’t answer.

But a second later, he heard the man laugh.

“What’s so funny?”Calvin frowned.

Aaron rubbed one eye and laughed,”You spent your whole life traveling just to come here to find me, and then you want to kill me with a spear?”

“You don’t even know why you’re here”

“I’m here because when I kill you, I kill the Foundation.” Calvin retorted without hesitation:”I kill the Foundation, the universe will be healed, and you are the cancer.”

After the voice fell,

Aaron stood up lazily, his eyes half open, looking at where Calvin stood.

He shook his head and said calmly:”No, no. You are very similar to me; full of righteous determination, unstoppable. This is not luck, this is not destiny”

“This is a pure, unspeakable, unknowable force of unhindered will.”

“You are there, I am here”

“In billions of worlds, billions of universes, we will find ourselves here”

“Determination led me here, just as it has led you.”

He stepped down from the platform.

The bundle of his coat still lay behind him.

“Two unstoppable forces, rushing towards each other, nothing could stand between them.

Aaron turned, reached for his coat, and pulled out a gleaming golden sword.

He held the sword in his outstretched hand.

A scream of suffering came from the blade, and it ignited, white-hot flames spread across the entire blade.

It was the sword of an angel.

And in the sword’s light, Calvin saw Aaron’s eyes. They were his own eyes.

“There’s nothing more to say, Calvin.”

“Either your resolve is broken today, or mine is. One of us must die.

Aaron said calmly, swinging his sword aside.

Calvin nodded without hesitation, holding his spear.

“Let’s make a break!”

JOJO World.

After defeating the Scarlet Queen, Giorno stared at the light curtain quietly.

He could sense a similar belief and determination from these two people.

There is no doubt that this is definitely the golden spirit.

Especially in Aaron, when faced with the cruel reality and having to make a choice, he can [calmly] accept the reality, and can also muster up the [courage] to [unyieldingly] fight against it. Even if he knows that he can’t change his fate, he can calmly accept the facts.

But he won’t give up a certain point of hope.

Try your best to resist.

But he can also see that Calvin’s spirit is no less.

In order to get to the last step here, he gave up many things, but he never forgot that he came here to save the world and to overthrow the foundation’s goal.

Finally.

Giorno sighed softly.

“No matter who wins or loses, it is a beautiful and noble spiritual sword”
