The Emperor’s Angel of Death

Chapter 85: Break oath

  West smiled at Soshyan,

He grinned, self-confidence exuding from him like a clear aura.

"Honorable angel, there is no need to dirty your hands. The rebellion has been put down. Most of the rioters have been wiped out, and a small number have also been punished."

This is the city's assembly hall, where the landlords and city councillors quarreled and robbed the power of this area, and also arranged various insidious plots here.

Soshyang stood on the high platform where the speaker was, just an arm's distance from West.

The other star warriors stood behind Soshyang, not as close to the high platform West as he was.

And all the landlords in the city, including the parliamentarians, also gathered here, there were hundreds of people.

After hearing West’s words, Soshyan took a deep breath after taking off his helmet. Perhaps he didn’t realize it. At that moment, he was like a lion that was irritated to the extreme, and his black hole-like eyes became even more intense. It strengthened his anger.

   But West is still smiling.

"My lord, you don't know. After you left, the thugs tried to set off a rebellion in the city. The Ministry of Justice issued a suppression order to us."

As he said, he took out a data board from behind and handed it to Soshyan.

But the star warrior was still standing in place, without any movement, and naturally did not pick up the opponent's data board. This made West's face a little embarrassment, but he quickly covered it.

As a battle group leader, Soshyang has only taken over the battle group for a short time, but he already has the authority of the upper person. When he looks directly at West, everyone can feel his rising anger.

Obviously, the mayor was completely wrong about his position.

But soon it doesn’t matter much.

   "Our oath."

Soshyang let out an unpleasant low growl.

   "Do you remember?"

Several people coughed, as if this Astarte said something scary.

   His dissatisfaction suddenly became stronger.

But for everyone present, only Sol could feel how much Soshyan wanted to pick up the blaster to end this dumbfoundedness, but he was still restraining. The rules and dogma he had been taught were the last chain on his body.

Once the chain is opened, no one knows how tragically it will end.

"That... I also feel very sorry, but it is my duty to protect the city."

West held his hands on his chest, posing a pitiful and deadly look.

"I am willing to bear any consequences!"

Thor immediately let out a sneer.

In just a few days, he knew enough about the current state of the empire.

For example, the city hall in front of me, even for a planetary governor, is already exaggeratedly luxurious, let alone a miniature city.

Mechanical little angels adorn the edge of the city hall, carrying a sacred flag proclaiming the state religion.

These accelerated growth cloned babies fly with anti-gravity wings made of white iron, talking and giggling with only single-syllable buzzing when they are not singing.

They are used by those who are obsessed with worthless decorations. Sol is certain that producing such things in his era was undoubtedly a blasphemous and abominable waste of resources.

Is the human body used to produce these soulless living copies?

   Obviously not, and shouldn't be.

A team of honor guards composed of marble sculptures lined up in the center of the red carpet, each is a complete reproduction of a useless mayor of the past.

This is a pile of hypocritical authority engraved on the stone, bowed their heads and looked at the gathered members with pride and self-satisfaction.

The decorated armrest of the chairperson’s chair is connected to the curved back of the chair, and the entire chair rests heavily on twelve piles.

For a moment, Thor wondered what kind of mind would find such a thing beautiful.

In his eyes, it is like something with flaws and semi-processed.

No matter how much gold is added to this ugly building, it cannot be changed. This chair is an ugly embodiment of low wealth, guarded by a red ocean of hypocritical men and women.

   "Honorable angel."

West continued, his silk coat looked loose because of his weak body without exercise.

As far as I can remember, it has always been difficult for Sol to maintain respect for those who allow their bodies to become weak. Those people can’t fight with age except for money and undergoing rehabilitation surgery-in fact, one person can fight with age. Laziness struggle.

The rotten body is the result of a fragile soul.

   "Put away your pretensions."

Soshyang said to him, his voice cold.

   "Big, my lord..."

West smiled reluctantly again. It was not that he didn't know that his smirk angered the other person, but his behavior.

"We are extremely pleased with your arrival. I am sure you have enjoyed your stay here so far? The harvest season is about to come. This is the season to praise the great emperor."

"Do you still remember our oath!"

Soshyang turned firmly to face the whole hall.

"Do you know that we will break the oath!"

More coughs came, and even West's jaw was shaking as he resisted his fear.

But he still held on~www.readwn.com~ humbly whispered:

"All of this is authorized by the Legal Department, and we are only executing orders."

Sol couldn't guess whether this person pretended to be confident on the outside, or did he really think that an official document from the Legal Department could deter an Astarte.

"Strictly speaking, it was the traitors and murderers who broke the oath. Your honor has not been damaged at all. There is absolutely nothing, and no one will publicize everything that you see."

His honey-like voice touched Saul's thoughts and reminded him of his speech to the crowd.

Putting aside his character, this man is undoubtedly an excellent speaker.

   "Enough, I have heard enough."

Soshyang still didn't mean to move his weapon, just lowered his head slightly and stared at West.

   "Repent, you will die happy."

West didn’t smile anymore. The other landlords and councillors were still whispering and humming, but they didn’t laugh anymore.

"My lord, we did not commit any crimes, nor did we violate any imperial laws."

West whispered, but he was no longer humble.

"And officials from the Legal Department will be here soon."

This fool—the final evaluation Saul made to him in his heart.

His words became the last factor that broke Soshyang's chain.

Astral Knight’s battle commander, Soshyan Alix, had a cruel smile on his face that was full of guilt not long ago, and he was breathing heavily through the exposed teeth.

"Then no one will walk out of this room alive. In any case, the city council and agricultural federation of Surtis will cease to exist at sunrise."
