The Emperor’s Angel of Death

Chapter 202: Safinius

The lobby of the Safinius Mining Guild was overwhelmed by loud noises. Every guild president and every administrative official rushed to speak at the same time.

The speaker presiding over the meeting used his left hand prosthesis to smash the side of the lectern a few times before the hall was restored to a minimum of order.

   "It doesn't help to panic."

   he shouted sharply:

   "Maybe there are other explanations."

"What other explanation is there for an Astarte warship that appeared in our orbit without warning?"

   a guild leader asked aloud.

"What explanation is more reasonable than the empire's preparation for a large-scale war in this world?"

Under the dome of the hall was once again full of noise. Since the fortune-telling antenna detected an unidentified ship entering the galaxy, the presidents were called together by an emergency meeting.

When the Star Whispers recognized that this was an interstellar warship, the meeting fell into chaos.

"They are the emperor's loyal servants and messengers."

   A guild master said loudly:

"Represents the supreme authority, and we should greet them accordingly."

   "Are you crazy?"

The president who spoke earlier replied.

"Do you know how much assets we will lose every day once we become a battlefield? Not to mention the part that is destined to be destroyed in the war!"

"But everyone already knows that the mine area is full of monsters."

At this time, the speaker presiding over the meeting suddenly mocked:

"Or do you want to summon the guards, local defense forces, and mining militias to fight those monsters?"

He looked at each other with almost contempt.

"Tell me, which scheme looks crazy?"

The other presidents fell silent, realizing the truth contained in the terrible words.

So the speaker decided to take advantage of the heat, and he calmly said:

"There is a turning point in this. We can grasp it. Gentlemen of the guild, we must unite and not let Safinius become a battlefield. As long as we show our position and strength, we can solve the underground problem. Threat, these angels will leave soon."

   "Where is the Legal Department?"

Another chairman spoke up. He had been smoking a pipe before, shrouding himself in a raging smoke.

"If the star warriors support them, we can't stop them."

"It doesn't matter, we still have an ally... The bishop takes over everything."

This sentence made everyone's eyes light up.

"Yeah, I almost forgot that useless bishop. If it were him, the situation would at least be manageable."

The star warriors arrived in a heavy rain.

The pouring rain washed over the main landing platform of the vertical shaft located outside the edge of the deep mine settlement and the surrounding wilderness. The shelter layer bathed in rain sizzled, and the rock surface of the platform was dancing with spray.

A giant beast descended from the almost black sky, and its broad side hung down a curtain of water. The coat of arms of the crossed swords reflected a moist luster on the gray shell.

When this powerful machine roared and flew overhead, the gathered guild leaders became more and more crowded, shivering in the rain-soaked costumes.

The afterburner engine of the aircraft flicked the embroidered frills of their robes, pulling a lady's shawl from her shoulders and throwing it into the curtain of rain.

When the Thunder Eagle finally stopped on the platform, the painful howl of the engine finally weakened to an idling low noise.

The dark muzzle of many weapon systems on the plane shone cold in the rain.

For a while, everything seemed to stand still.

The people of the guild looked up anxiously, and finally a loud impact made them almost jump up.

Thunder Eagle's front door began to lower, spraying a cloud of water mist.

Seven giants came through the mist, and their armor-covered steps left a rhythmic echo on the plastic steel plate.

Every giant's figure is so extraordinary that people can look back. They are dressed in silver-gray armor with different shadows, and their black eyepieces are shining in the dazzling lights of the emergency light belt in the landing area.

On all parts of the armor, streamlined etching lines depict patterns of thunderclouds and flames.

The extremely powerful blaster and melee weapons are held in their boxers. The only reassuring thing is that the power has not yet been activated.

Two columns of seven giants passed through the hatch to the platform, forming a towering wall in front of the guild leaders.

At the last impact of Tao Gang, they stood still, letting the rain wash their armor.

For a while, they just remained motionless and said nothing.

Until one of them took a step forward, his armor was more silvery, and the thundercloud pattern on it was vivid, as if destructive power would gush from it at any time.

The guild people cringed in front of him.

"Who is the governor of the planet."

The giant asked, and the voice came from the arc grid of the helmet speaker, as if coming from somewhere in the abyss, and the words and sentences woven in high Gothic seemed stiff and unusually formal.

The people in the guild did not respond, and the giant did not speak again.

Finally, the head of the planet’s interior ministry office finally couldn’t bear the silence, and responded humbly:

"The decree of this place comes from the mining collective meeting, my lord, except for the emperor on the Holy Terra, there is no other leader here."

Safinius was first in the Great Expedition as a planet directly under the Terra government and managed by the planetary governor dispatched by the empire’s Ministry of Interior. However, during the Horus Rebellion~www.readwn.com~ the planetary governor turned away. , Making the planet out of the arms of the empire.

Although the planet returned to the empire after the end of the rebellion, the liberators were not the imperial army, but the mechanical sect.

Forging the World Griffin 4 Out of consideration for the stability of energy supply, at the end of the Horus Rebellion, troops were dispatched to restore the rich-mining planet and planned to include it in the bag.

Such a decision naturally met with serious opposition from the Ministry of the Interior. After the two sides saw and fought a textual lawsuit for hundreds of years, the final result was that Safinius became a semi-autonomous planet, with personnel jointly dispatched by Mechanics and the Ministry of the Interior. For supervision, local production quotas are coordinated by both parties.

This is a kind of muddy solution, but it is undoubtedly the only solution that can solve the contradiction.

So the administrative agency of Safinius is a council jointly formed by the local mining guild, and it is precisely because 98% of the planet's population are miners, there is no problem with this system.

For a long time, the giant did not respond.

After , everyone in the guild heard a gurgling noise. Some people heard that it was some kind of internal voice call, conveying private messages in the communication channel of the Star Warrior's helmet.

Finally, the headed giant spoke again.

"Fortunately, I am Soshyan Alexei, the commander of the Astral Knights. I am here for the help of the Legal Department."

Then he took off his helmet, showing a tough and holy face, and glanced at the crowd.

After hearing his identity, many presidents gave out depressed exclamations, and even their bodies trembled involuntarily.

Many people have only one thought in their hearts:

A war captain of the Astarte Order arrived in person, and things seem to be really big-
