#575 - Kill one more person
The Martian Manhunter's power is immense; he can easily lift over a hundred tons. His mental abilities are equally impressive, effortlessly encompassing all life on Earth.
Black Dwarf is strong, but in a head-on confrontation, he's no match for the Martian Manhunter. Supergiant's mental abilities are formidable, but not enough to entangle the Martian Manhunter for so long.
Yet, through an unexpected alliance, they caught Yang Le off guard. The seamless coordination of mental and physical attacks left Yang Le in dire straits.
Yang Le needed to find a way to break this deadlock; otherwise, prolonged delay could lead to unforeseen complications. Who knew if Thanos might launch a sudden blitz?
The first priority was to deal with Supergiant, lurking somewhere unseen. Compared to the overt Black Dwarf, Supergiant's mental attacks posed a greater threat to Yang Le.
Fortunately, the genuine Martian Manhunter had already provided the correct solution. Yang Le chose not to confront Supergiant directly but opened his mind, luring her into the mental labyrinth within his own brain.
Supergiant, seizing the opportunity, plunged headfirst into Yang Le's carefully laid trap. Yang Le was surprised his plan worked so smoothly, making a split-second decision.
Supergiant seemed like a novice with raw power, far less experienced than Black Dwarf.
With Supergiant trapped in the mental labyrinth, she was no longer an immediate threat. Yang Le could now focus on dealing with Black Dwarf.
Using his foot to firmly control Black Dwarf's giant axe, Yang Le swung his arm, transformed into a blade, cleaving through the air directly at Black Dwarf.
Black Dwarf had witnessed the power of those hands; they could contend with his axe directly. His defenses would never withstand that strike.
Black Dwarf reluctantly released his weapon, sacrificing it for a chance at survival. Holding on would only lead to being torn to pieces.
Though the battle-axe was his best weapon, it was insignificant compared to his life. Besides, he had more than just the axe in his arsenal.
Drawing a short gun from his belt, Black Dwarf opened fire on Yang Le, unleashing a barrage of bullets like the people of this land favored.
Ammunition composed of unknown energy rained down on Yang Le. Tendrils sprouted from Yang Le's shoulders, forming a dense, impenetrable net like steel whips, deflecting the incoming bullets.
Though the bullets achieved nothing, Black Dwarf's purpose was served. They only delayed Yang Le's advance. His real intention was to use his free right hand to draw the greatsword from his back.
The greatsword, taller than a man, was drawn. An inch longer, an inch stronger, Black Dwarf hoped to bring Yang Le down before he could get close.
"Clang!"
Black Dwarf's sword was stopped by Yang Le's left hand, now returned to normal. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move it an inch. Yang Le exerted force, pulling Black Dwarf towards him.
"Bang!"
A punch landed squarely on Black Dwarf's face. His seemingly indestructible skin cracked under the force of the blow.
Black Dwarf lost control, flying backward uncontrollably, his mountain-like body spinning in the air before slamming into the cavern wall, creating a human-shaped crater.
"Crack!"
With a slight flex of his fingers, Yang Le snapped the thick greatsword in two. Before the broken pieces could fall, Yang Le had already reached Black Dwarf.
Ignoring his bloodied face, Black Dwarf struggled out of the wall, meeting Yang Le head-on. Driven by pain and rage, he instinctively threw a punch, abandoning all form and skill.
"Bang!"
Two fists, one large and one small, collided in the air. This was no heartwarming scene of a large hand holding a small one. The smaller fist continued forward unhindered, compressing the space of the larger fist.
Compressing, constantly compressing, cracks appeared in Black Dwarf's skin, the sound of bones breaking filled the air. A moment later, a once-perfect fist became a mangled mess of flesh.
"Aaaaaaaah!"
The intense pain only fueled Black Dwarf's ferocity. He roared and lunged at Yang Le with his remaining left hand, intent on taking him down with him.
Yang Le retracted his fist and grabbed Black Dwarf's incoming left hand, simultaneously kicking Black Dwarf in the side. Exerting force with both hand and foot, Yang Le ripped Black Dwarf's arm off.
A torrent of blood erupted. A normal being would be on their last breath, but Black Dwarf stubbornly clung to life, still attempting to attack Yang Le.
"Bang!"

Another punch, and Black Dwarf's head exploded like a watermelon. His tall, mutilated body knelt forward before collapsing lifelessly on the ground, blood gushing out like a fountain. This time, he was truly dead.
The confrontation between Yang Le and Black Dwarf, from beginning to end, lasted less than five minutes. Though brief, he was a formidable opponent.
The rustling sounds continued incessantly, a result of the heat vision only clearing out a vanguard of Outriders. Though numerous, they were but a drop in the bucket compared to the main army.
However, no matter how many of these grunts there were, they couldn't change the outcome. Even if Yang Le stood still and let them attack, they couldn't breach the Martian Manhunter's defenses in a day.
But the sheer number of them was annoying. Yang Le widened his eyes, his crimson pupils glowing like the sun, and the next moment, beams of thick, crimson energy burst forth in a scattering pattern.
The enhanced heat vision was something these grunts couldn't withstand. Even a graze would turn them to charcoal, let alone the scattered barrage. None of the Outriders present could escape, all becoming Yang Le's victims.
For a time, the cavern was filled with light, illuminating not only Bleecker Street but even visible throughout Manhattan.
Gradually, the light faded, and Manhattan returned to darkness. Yang Le panted slightly, feeling weary despite his power, but there was no time to relax.
There was still a Supergiant hiding in the shadows. She had just escaped from his mental labyrinth not long ago and couldn't have run too far. Once she was dealt with, Thanos would only have Ebony Maw left.
