#414 - decisive battle
Since the Lost Amazonians occupied Paradise Island, it seemed that not only the people but also the entire island had become slaves, until today when Diana returned to Paradise Island and finally restored its vitality.
Diana, swaggering through the streets, attracted not only Philippus and her Amazonians but also most of the other imprisoned or enslaved Amazonians, who noticed the performance of their tribe's princess.
This undoubtedly inspired those Amazonians. The sound of Diana clashing her golden bracelets was like the battle horn, and the Amazonians responded by using everything within their reach to launch a rebellion against the enemy.
Chains, hoes, pitchforks, and even fists and teeth – they would not let their princess fight alone. Although they were exhausted, they would at least clear the obstacles for their princess.
King against king, general against general. With Hippolyta dead, Diana was the nominal first heir to Paradise Island and the new queen, so her opponent should rightfully be the opposing queen.
Diana looked at another guard blocking her path, preparing to use her golden bracelets again, but heard hurried hoofbeats behind her. Thinking it was the enemy catching up, she immediately turned around, only to find a group of cavalry led by Philippus.
"Princess!" Philippus stood up on her horse, leaped forward towards Diana, drew a Lost Amazonian standard sword in mid-air, and slashed down without explanation.
"Swish!"
After a sharp sound, a Lost Amazonian fell to the ground, and the other Amazonians on horseback caught up at this moment.
"Although I would like to express my joy, now is obviously not the time for reminiscing," Philippus and the other Amazonians formed a formation, protecting Diana behind them.
"We've got this, Princess. Please continue forward."
"Thank you, Philippus." Diana wasted no time, leaping over the crowd and continuing to run towards the palace.
"Listen up, sisters!" Philippus called out. "Protect our princess's rear!"
A deafening response echoed.
...
Not only with the help of Philippus but also with the help of all the escaped Amazonians, Diana finally escaped the pursuit of the guards and arrived at the palace, unimpeded.
She took down the guards at the door with a few blows, and Diana finally entered the Amazon palace she knew so well, but which was now so different. Walking into the throne room, she immediately saw Troy, who was already fully armed.
"I must commend you," Troy slowly walked down from the throne. "As a homeless dog, you still have the courage to come back and make such a big commotion. I must say, you are quite capable."
"Where is Circe?" Diana ignored Troy's taunts, asking about the whereabouts of the culprit behind all this.
Troy's gaze passed over Diana, looking outside the palace, where the entire Paradise Island was now in turmoil, a riot for freedom was taking place.
"I said long ago that we should kill those disobedient Amazonians," Troy said with disgust.
Hearing Troy say this, Diana's eyebrows immediately shot up, but after closing her eyes and taking a few deep breaths, Diana's expression returned to calm.
"Honestly, before coming here, I hadn't fully let go, but now I finally understand," Diana reopened her eyes, her gaze as firm as a knife.
Troy didn't speak, just tilted her head, as if not understanding what Diana was saying.
"You can't be my mother," Diana assumed a fighting stance. "She loves her people. A queen could never say such a thing. It's ridiculous that I only understand this now."
"What exactly are you talking about?" Troy revealed a trace of doubt.
"I'll explain it to you slowly after I defeat you." Having figured everything out, Diana looked relaxed, and the indomitable Valkyrie had returned.
"Bang!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Diana had already rushed in front of Troy. Her speed startled Troy. Diana's current speed far exceeded her speed during their first encounter. If Troy hadn't been extremely focused, she wouldn't have been able to block this first blow.
Looking at Troy, who was facing a formidable enemy, Diana gradually increased the strength in her hands. Troy, who was using both arms to resist, was actually suppressed by Diana with one hand.
"This is impossible!" Troy said laboriously.
"Nothing is impossible," Diana pressed down hard, and Troy immediately knelt on one knee, and countless cracks appeared on the ground after it cried out in pain.
"I am Diana! The princess of the Amazons, the child of Zeus! The goddess of agriculture, Demeter, granted me strength no less than that of Hercules!"
Diana stopped applying pressure, withdrew her arm, and kicked Troy out the moment she lost her strength. Not only that, she even caught up with the flying Troy simply by running.
"The messenger of the gods, Hermes, granted me divine speed!"
Overtaking the flying Troy, Diana punched Troy into the ground again. The magnificent palace began to shake, almost collapsing due to this punch.

Before the splashing dust had settled, the embarrassed Troy had already climbed up from the ground, drew the Sword of Hephaestus she had taken from Diana, and slashed at its original owner.
Faced with this sword that could cut through anything, Diana did not waver in the slightest, leisurely dodging Troy's several attacks. Chopping, stabbing, and thrusting, Troy couldn't touch Diana at all.
"The goddess of the hunt, Artemis, granted me super senses. Your movements are as full of flaws in my eyes as those of a child who has just picked up a sword."
As Diana spoke, she took the lead in grabbing Troy's sword-wielding right hand, flipped her wrist, and snatched the Sword of Hephaestus, then kicked Troy away again.
Flourishing the sword, Diana casually threw the Sword of Hephaestus in her hand. The sword was completely submerged into the ground, leaving only the hilt exposed.
After discarding the divine weapon forged by Hephaestus, Diana pulled out the sword that Yang Le had made for her. Although this sword is not yet comparable to the Sword of Hephaestus, which can cut atoms, Diana wanted to use it more at this moment.
"Stand up!" Diana pointed the sword at Troy. "Don't let the blood on your body be shamed."
Troy didn't speak, panting heavily as she got up from the ground, tremblingly pulling out another sword from behind, the sword that Circe had prepared for her.
"I'll ask one last time, where is Circe?" Diana asked sternly.
Troy assumed a fighting stance and said, "Don't even think about it."
Seeing Troy stubbornly resist, Diana had no choice but to take her down and then find a way.
