'System, I want to undergo my first body tempering.'

Without wasting any time, Leo ordered the system to start the process.

Transferring 52 units of God Energy from the master's God Space to the body.

The master has met the conditions for the first level of Body Tempering. The Body Tempering will begin in a few seconds. Please be ready and endure the pain if there is any.

The body tempering was a natural process that happens when a being or beast accumulates enough units of God Energy.

Since there was not enough God Energy in Leo's body to undergo the body tempering, the system transferred the lacking amount of God Energy.

With 100 units of God Energy in Leo's body, it didn't take much time for the body tempering process to start.

'Aargh'

Even though Leo had already prepared for the pain, it was more than what Leo had expected. So, Leo could not help but groan in pain.

'Huh?'

The sudden and incredible pain only lasted for a moment before disappearing completely which made Leo frown.

Nevertheless, Leo believed that the first level of Body Tempering was yet to finish because he didn't receive any notification from the system.

Master, the process has just begun. It would take at least an hour to finish.

The system suggests the master remain calm and feel the changes in his body.

As he expected, the process was yet to finish as Leo received a couple of system notifications.

Leo nodded his head and tried to feel the changes in his body like the system suggested.

'It feels as though I am being wrapped by a thin silk cloth.'

This was the feeling that Leo got and after thinking for a moment, Leo came to the conclusion that it was not a silk cloth.

Instead, it was a layer that was created by the God Energy that he spent.

The thin layer was slow but steadily merging onto his body to become a part of his body.

'In short, the so-called first level of Body Tempering was attacking a layer of God Energy onto the body to increase the toughness and defence.'

Leo silently muttered and continued, 'No wonder, the ascending beasts were a lot tougher than the regular beasts. I wonder how many levels of body tempering they have undergone.'

The master has successfully undergone the first level of Body Tempering (God Energy)

Time continued to pass and one hour passed by in a flash before Leo received a system notification that made him open his eyes.

'Finally, it's done. It's time to check out how much my defence has increased.'

Leo had been suppressing his urge to go back to the school of Devil Fishes to refill his God Energy in his God Space.

At the same time, he wanted to understand the changes in his body after undergoing the first level of [Body Tempering].

Without wasting any time, Leo started swimming deeper into the water.

There was no need for Leo to search for the Devil Fishes because just as he was 100 meters away from the surface, the school of Devil Fishes rushed towards him.

It took around one hour for Leo to kill the entire school of fish as he accumulated more than 500 units of God Energy which was the highest amount that Leo had collected until now.

Leo's body was completely filled with cuts and his face was pale; however, Leo was happy…happy because he was able to kill nearly 1000 devil fishes after undergoing the first level of body tempering.

If it was before, Leo might be able to kill nearly 200 devil fishes before dying; however, right now, not only did he kill 1000 devil fishes but he still has energy left to make free movements in the water.

'Only if my God Space had more storage, I would have used God Energy for something better.'

Leo was happy with the gains; however, his gains were limited because of the limited storage of his God Space.

The first level of Body Tempering (God Energy) has improved the master's defence by 100 percent.

After its analysis, the system informed Leo about the increase in his defence from the Body Tempering.

'So, my defence is doubled? Excellent.'

Leo could not help but smile when he learned about it and started thinking about the second level of body tempering.

'The additional units of God Energy that my God Space was unable to store are accumulated in my body. I can undergo the second level of body tempering anytime I want.'

Leo silently asked the system, 'How many units are required for the second level of Body Tempering?'

'Ding,

The second level of Body Tempering required 1000 units of God Energy.

'1000 units of God Energy? I wonder how much my defence will increase after that.'

Leo was thoroughly impressed by the increase in his defence and wanted to undergo the second level also.

However, there were no more devil fishes around him anymore.

'Which means, I have to go deeper into the ocean.'

Leo thought about it for a moment and decided to go deeper without bothering to heal his injuries.

'If I encounter any dangerous devil beasts, I will try to escape from it and in case it's not possible, I have other trump cards to use.'

Leo swam deeper into the ocean and when he was around 500 meters deep, he felt the unknown pressure on his body again.

However, after undergoing the body tempering, it didn't bother Leo much as he continued to move deeper and suddenly, he paused because he encountered two Mythical Grade beasts.
