Chapter 18 Buddha saves those who are destined to be saved

Qin Su escorted the Gao family into Jiangzhou. At this time, Qin Su, who was hiding in the dark, suddenly showed up and watched the Gao family gradually go away along the official road. Then he turned around and looked at an old monk who suddenly appeared not far away.

The old monk's dress was different from that of the people in the Central Plains. He wore a cockscomb-shaped monk hat and an eight-pleated monk robe, three in front, three in the back, two on the left and right, with the monk's belt outside. The cassock was draped from the left shoulder, and the right shoulder was outside, revealing one arm. There were 108 bone beads hanging on his chest, and the beads were round and smooth like jade agate. This is a human bone rosary unique to the Shingon sect. The monks of the Shingon sect have the custom of sky burial after death, allowing their bodies to be pecked by eagles, in order to achieve the state of Buddha cutting thighs to feed eagles, and the remaining bones are used as ritual instruments. Each bone bead was taken from the brow bone of a monk, so this string of prayer beads in front of him needed to wait for 108 monks with a certain level of cultivation to pass away before it could be practiced. The power of it was not inferior to the Buddha's relic in Xu Wugui's hand, which made Qin Su's heart tremble.

I saw a faint flow of precious light on the face of the old monk. He just walked slowly, but it was like a majestic mountain pressing down, making people breathless.

In the sword fight between Yuxu, the Buddhists were absent. The three religions were nothing more than the struggle between Confucianism and Taoism. Qin Su never expected that there would be an unparalleled master in Buddhism, whose cultivation was not inferior to Bai Xiushang.

Qin Su calmed down and asked softly: "I wonder if you are the master?"

The old monk put his hands together and chanted a Buddhist name, "My name is Shangfa Xiakong."

Qin Su knew in his heart that this old monk must be a member of the Shingon sect.

The old monk glanced at Qin Su and said something inexplicable, "The female donor is a person with great wisdom."

Qin Su disagreed. It was not that she was bragging. She got the "fate-knowledge" from the "Zuowang Zen Gong" and learned the "Ziwei Dou Shu". Naturally, she was a person with wisdom, but she was not as lucky as Li Xuandu.

But the next sentence of the old monk surprised Qin Su. He only heard the old monk say: "I see that the donor has a connection with my Buddha. I wonder if the donor is willing to abandon Taoism and follow Buddha and return to his original appearance?"

Qin Su frowned and said coldly: "I have been a Taoist since I was a child. Now I have already arranged a marriage with someone. I am afraid I have no connection with Buddha."

The old monk shook his head and smiled: "I am not a Zen sect in China. Haven't you heard of the Great Joy Zen? There is also a way for the Ming Wang and Ming Fei to practice together."

Qin Su snorted coldly, not wanting to say more, and was about to leave.

She was a disciple of the Taoist sect. If she converted to Buddhism, it would be a betrayal of her master and ancestors. She would leave home and become a monk, which was equivalent to abandoning her family. If Qin Qing was here, she would kill the old monk directly, and the Buddhists would not say anything wrong. If Qin Su had not asked herself whether she could definitely defeat the old monk, she would have taught the monk a lesson herself.

"Wait a minute, female donor." The old monk's voice was like a huge bell, and every word seemed to hit her heart. The sound waves rolled over, as if it were real.

Qin Su's figure flashed, and she turned to look at the old monk. She had already taken out the "Three Treasures Ruyi" and said coldly: "Master, you have come to Jiangnan from the Western Regions without any effort. Is it just to enlighten me, a foreign woman?"

The old monk smiled slightly, turned the Buddhist beads, and chanted the Buddha's name, "Put down the butcher knife and become a Buddha on the spot!"

As the voice fell, colorful light appeared on the sky, and faintly, there were bursts of Zen chanting and chanting.

Then a beam of light fell from the sky. It was so powerful, but it did not contain any murderous intent. It was like a beam of light from the sky shot into a dark room, illuminating the dark room. The dust floating in the beam of light was visible, and it had no power at all.

Qin Su was covered by this beam of light, and her mind was actually dazed for a moment, and then she understood that this was the Buddhist magical power "Buddha's Light to Save the World". As long as the Buddha's light shines, the opponent will kneel down and repent on the spot, which is what Buddhism calls becoming a Buddha on the spot. This kind of repentance can take up to several decades. The fundamental principle is to completely suppress and restrain the opponent's ego with the Buddha's light, and then create an opposing "heart demon". Unlike the "Thirteen Swords of Taiyin", the heart demon of the "Thirteen Swords of Taiyin" is evil, while the "heart demon" created by Buddhism is good, but the two have the same goal, which is to turn people into another person.

With the decline of Buddhism, no one has cultivated this kind of Buddha's light magical power. Only Bai Xiushang possessed the "Six-Character Light Mantra Sword", which could use this semi-immortal item to use the "Buddha Light of Saving the World". On that day on Yuxu Peak, even a master like Wang Tianxiao could not escape.

Qin Su was only in the realm of heaven and man, how could she be compared with Wang Tianxiao. She never thought that the old monk would force her to save with the "Buddha Light of Saving the World".

Qin Su only felt that at this moment, she was already in a Buddhist country, with golden light, countless Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Hades, Vajra, and Arhats sitting on lotus platforms, exuding compassion and light from the inside out, giving people a sense of peace and harmony. There were countless bhikkhunis around, worshiping and reciting scriptures. The grand chanting sound resounded through the world, making her thoughts gradually stagnate, and then she felt sleepy and wanted to fall asleep.

This is the realm of the Vajra Garbha Mandala, which guides the inherent bodhicitta of all sentient beings to manifest and attain nirvana. Ultimately, everything returns to the Tathagata and finally returns to the Garbha Mandala of great nirvana, and nurtures new life in nirvana.

Qin Su knew that if she fell asleep, she would be a different Qin Su when she woke up. But she had no good way to resist. If the "Three Treasures Ruyi" in her hand was still intact, the many gems on the Ruyi would naturally protect Qin Su. However, a fierce battle in Kunlun Cave Heaven had caused all six gems to dim, and it would take a hundred years for them to recover.

At this moment, a voice suddenly sounded, "Taishang Daozu said: 'I have three treasures, one is kindness, the second is frugality, and the third is not daring to be the first in the world.' He also said: 'If you give up kindness and courage, give up frugality and be broad-minded, give up being behind and being ahead, you will die.'"

Although the voice was not loud, when it sounded, the entire Vajra Garbha Mandala world rumbled and shook, and many Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajra, Galan, and Arhats in it became distorted, like flowers in the mirror and the moon in the water. All the majestic and magnificent aura dissipated, and at the same time awakened the drowsy Qin Su, making Qin Su regain clarity.

The old monk looked in the direction where the voice came from, and his eyes suddenly brightened, like the sun.

The Buddha's light became more and more prosperous, almost illuminating the whole world.

But no matter how the old monk urged the Buddha's light, a figure still walked slowly. Not only did the Buddha's light have no effect on him, but wherever he passed, all the Buddha's light was extinguished, like a dark tide surging over and swallowing up the light.

The old monk looked far away and saw that the visitor kept covering his mouth and coughing, but there were countless black shadows wandering on his black clothes, like demons from outer space. From time to time, the black shadows would break away from the robes, tear off a piece of "light" from the Buddha's light, swallow it in big mouthfuls, and return to the robes after being satisfied.

The old monk's face suddenly became extremely solemn, and then he heard the visitor say: "If there is a predestined relationship, there is Buddha in your heart. If there is no predestined relationship, even if you are a monk, you will slander Buddha. Why do you force it? Buddha said: 'There is no self, no person, no sentient beings, and no life.' As a monk, you should have known all the traces of the world. Is this action worthy of your heart?"

The old monk put his hands together and said in a deep voice: "No worries in the heart, no worries, no fear, stay away from upside-down dreams."

The visitor's voice was slightly cold, "Buddhism talks about cause and effect. Master, if you rashly touch the cause and effect today, aren't you afraid that the monks will be cut by blood in the future?"

The old monk was silent.

The person who came was Li Xuandu. He did not expect that someone would dare to plot against Qin Su under his nose. It was really audacious.

In Li Xuandu's opinion, the reason why the old monk could use the "Buddha Light of Saving the World" was not because he had already achieved the state of immortality, but because of the string of Buddhist beads on his chest. Moreover, the old monk's cultivation was also quite strange. It did not seem to be obtained through hard practice, but rather through external forces. This was very similar to Li Xuandu.

Li Xuandu remembered that there was a method of initiation in the Shingon sect. The Shingon sect has always been very different from the Central Plains Taoism and even Buddhism. The so-called initiation is to instill one's own cultivation into the later generations. The later generations practiced with the cultivation of the predecessors for a lifetime and then passed it on to the later generations. In this way, it can be accumulated continuously, so that some monks can have nine lifetimes of cultivation.

In the Buddhist sect of the Central Plains, there are magical powers such as "Vajra Power" and "Mountain Moving Power". In the Buddhist sect of the Western Regions, there is also a magical power called "Dragon and Elephant True Power". This skill is divided into thirteen levels. The first level is very simple. Even a foolish person can master it in one or two years as long as he is taught. The second level is twice as deep as the first level and takes three or four years. The third level is twice as deep as the second level and takes seven or eight years. In this way, it increases exponentially, and it becomes more and more difficult to progress. This skill is progressive, and there is no reason why it cannot be mastered. If someone can live for thousands of years, he will eventually reach the thirteenth level and possess the power of thirteen dragons and thirteen elephants. However, human life is limited, and he must rush to practice to the seventh and eighth levels. This often leads to the dilemma of haste makes waste. But if you practice with the method of initiation, with nine lifetimes of cultivation, this magical skill can be easily mastered.

Relying on this initiation magic, the Shingon Sect has not only not been in danger of losing its inheritance for thousands of years, but also has a deep foundation and can dominate the Western Regions.

The old monk in front of him is a person who has the cultivation of his predecessors. His cultivation is profound, so it is reasonable that Qin Su is not his opponent.

As for the intention of the Shingon Sect, Li Xuandu has already made a bad guess. The sects that did not appear on Yuxu Peak that day may have secretly joined hands to resist the unification of the Taoist sect. After all, they are all powerful overlords, and they are not willing to let themselves have another great master!

Li Xuandu originally wanted to deal with these Taoist internal affairs after the matter of the Imperial Capital was over, but now it seems that he has to settle down first.

The next moment, Li Xuandu's figure appeared in front of the old monk and pushed out with a palm.

Like hitting a bell in the sky.

The old monk trembled all over, his entire chest was sunken, and the golden light around him faded. The golden body of the Buddhist who had practiced for many years was destroyed by Li Xuandu's palm.
