Stupid Odin

#62 - 'Loma'

When Tang Si received the news that Odin was desperately creating gods, he couldn't help but chuckle.

He hadn't expected that Odin, who held immense power in the epic poem "The Edda," would have such a simple and straightforward side.

On second thought, it wasn't surprising at all for Odin, who was born a god-level barbarian, to make this choice. If Odin could branch out and surpass Tang Si, the main family, in the total number of gods, it might really threaten Tang Si's rule.

Unfortunately, Odin couldn't do it.

As a transmigrator, Tang Si knew very well that there was an upper limit to the total number of gods in the Jinnungagap world.

The world's will didn't care who gave birth to a certain god; it simply released the world's origin out of instinct, naturally creating the corresponding gods.

The world was chaotic, but Tang Si had the opportunity to use the Order Slate to fix these messes.

This day, he summoned Odin.

Upon receiving his brother's summons, Odin muttered to himself, wondering what it was about.

As an old schemer, Odin never hesitated to speculate about his imaginary rivals with the utmost malice.

He still came, bringing Loki with him.

As soon as Loki entered the Golden Palace and saw the divine horse "Svadilfari," his expression immediately became unnatural.

Odin didn't notice, but respectfully saluted.

The certain God-King glanced at 'Loki's Mare,' secretly laughing his head off while putting on his best acting performance, and said to Odin in a leisurely manner: "My good brother! How have you been in Jotunheim recently?"

Hearing that his elder brother didn't start with the word 'foolish' as a modifier, Odin inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief. He was too afraid to hear that word. Whenever his elder brother said that, he must have committed an unforgivable foolish act, forcing his elder brother to scold him.

If it didn't start with 'foolish,' then today shouldn't be a bad thing.

In front of their parents, the gods, and the giants, Odin played the emotional card: "Those evil frost giants from the glaciers are too annoying. They are attacking my territory like crazy, forcing me to repair my castle every week. Alas, brother, I'm so tired."

Odin was trying to sell his misery, but none of the Asa gods or giants paid him any attention.

Within the Asa Protoss, where the strong are respected, everyone felt that you were able to become a king because you had to help everyone deal with those troublesome frost giants. Otherwise, why would you be able to become a king? Even Bestla, their mother, felt that it was normal for Odin to be miserable.

Odin didn't care. When he saw Svadilfari, he had vaguely guessed what was going on.

Tang Si spoke, his voice full of warmth: "My brother, you've worked hard. Let me introduce you to the divine horse 'Svadilfari.' Its strength is stronger than any of us, and it can lift giant rocks the size of mountains. Use it to build a solid castle for yourself first!"

"Thank… Thank you, brother!" Even if he had guessed it, Odin was truly ecstatic at this moment.

"After you're done using this divine horse, I'll still need it to build a high wall and a fortress complex around Asgard. But your side is more urgent, so I'll let you use it first."

"Yes! Brother!"

"Oh, right, Odin, you reported earlier that you discovered a mutated frost giant."

"That's right."

"I'm worried that this is caused by the overflow of chaotic aura. How about this, I've made some Order Slates. When you're building the castle, embed the slates in the walls, it might be useful to you."

With a wave of Tang Si's hand, a Valkyrie came over and handed Odin a thick stack of slates.

Odin looked at the runes on them, lost in thought.

"Giants should be human-shaped creatures."

"Giants' skin is soft."

"Giants' hearts are soft."

There were more than a hundred definitions of giants listed. They seemed simple, but upon closer inspection, Odin understood the deep meaning—his elder brother was completely erasing all possible mutations of giants from the level of law.

Just like the rule about giants' hearts, if a giant's heart was soft, even if the giant was huge, he could kill the giant with one shot of "Gungnir."

Odin had been studying runes for so long, but he never thought that this thing could be used like this.

"Thank you, brother! With them, it should save a lot of trouble." Odin pondered for a moment, his one eye emitting a dim and unclear light: "Brother, I wonder if I can practice making more Order Slates using runes?"

This was actually a spicy test.

Odin wanted to see if his elder brother would allow him to share the right to define the laws of the world.

As Odin grew, his desire for power increased day by day. Making such a test was also within Tang Si's expectations.

Tang Si sighed secretly in his heart: My foolish brother! If you hadn't killed Njord, maybe the world's will would have really agreed to let you try. What a pity…

On the surface, Tang Si nodded gently: "My brother, you can give it a try."

"Thank you, brother!" Odin was simply overjoyed. He never expected that such an important legislative power would be given to him so easily. As expected, my elder brother is too emotional and easy to talk to.

"Oh, right. Speaking of which, 'Svadilfari' seems to give birth to foals on its own, but occasionally it will give birth to demonic creatures contaminated with chaotic aura. Odin, when you use it, remember to put some Order Slates in the stable."

Tang Si made the most of the waste, and the Valkyrie brought out another hundred Order Slates.

Odin was overjoyed, thinking to himself: Hi! If I had known that my elder brother would give me a horse, I wouldn't have been so grateful to Loki.

Until this moment, no one in the entire venue, except for a certain actor and the 'Loki's Mare' involved, felt anything was wrong.

This is the Jinnungagap world.

The frost giant progenitor Ymir split a bunch of frost giants from his armpits. The Asa Protoss progenitor Buri directly split off Bor. So everyone felt that it was nothing wrong for "Svadilfari" to give birth to foals on its own.

Only when the Valkyrie led the horse, Svadilfari trotted straight to Loki, stuck out its half-meter-long tongue, and licked Loki from bottom to top.

Loki went stiff on the spot!

His body stiffened!

Odin laughed loudly: "Loki, it seems that this divine horse likes you very much. You usually don't have anything to do, so why don't you command it to help us build a fortress?"

"This, I, that…" Loki was dumbfounded, stammering.

"Man, what are you being so wishy-washy about? It's settled then." Odin patted Loki on the shoulder cheerfully, settling the matter.

It always felt like Loki had been petrified at this moment, as if as long as a gust of wind blew outside the palace gate, Loki could dissipate with the wind…

Odin left with Loki and the divine horse. Sure enough, not long after, they heard that the Jotunheim Kingdom had several more god-level foals.

After another while, news came that Loki was seriously ill and bedridden.

This was simply a rare thing for a frost giant.

The Asa Protoss and the Giant Race were almost immune to diseases. They had only heard that mortals such as humans would get sick.

This matter naturally spread as a joke among the Asa Protoss.
