Stupid Odin
#60 - 'Four-legged' divine horse [Sleipnir]
As long as a lasso and tow rope are attached, this divine horse can actually move a small mountain a hundred meters high. No wonder that mysterious architect dared to boast so much.
Now it's great, that kid's foul mouth blasphemed the three Asgardian gods, and the God-King has a justified reason to kill someone and steal a horse.
Even if this matter spreads throughout the Nine Realms, no one will think that King Thanes is wrong.
Now it seems that he can also earn a city wall for free!
The gods praised the God-King's wisdom and martial prowess.
This matter quickly spread to a crudely drawn ice palace in Jotunheim.
Poor Odin felt a bitter taste in his mouth upon hearing this news.
He had become king as he wished, but he was far away from Asgard, which was almost perpetually in summer, and had returned to this snowy land where even birds wouldn't shit.
Odin couldn't scold his elder brother for anything, after all, after he became king, Brother Thanes brought in a large number of dwarven craftsmen to build him a magnificent castle, allowing him to live in the golden palace he had always dreamed of.
But compared to Asgard, Odin felt that he was the one who needed city walls and fortresses the most.
It was truly a haunting experience.
Even though Odin's palace was specially chosen to be far away from the glaciers, why did the frost giants, after the cow licked them out of the glacier, mostly abandon the nearby Rainbow Bridge and run thousands of miles to find trouble with him, Odin?
Was the God of Destiny at odds with him, Odin?
Anyway, the result was that Odin's palace had to undergo minor repairs every three days and major repairs every week.
"The divine horse, Svadilfari! If it could be brought here to build my city walls, that would be great."
Odin said seemingly casually.
The speaker meant something, and the listener took it to heart.
It must be said that Loki's love for Odin was genuine, ah pui, was truly loyal.
He didn't even say hello to Odin, and started pondering on his own: "Those Asgardian gods definitely want to build city walls for Asgard first. If I ask normally, I probably won't get it. Should I? Should I steal the horse?"
No sooner said than done, Loki sneaked into Asgard that night.
Odin widened his one eye on the terrace of his castle, watching Loki leave, lost in thought.
Odin always had a sense of responsibility, but not much.
He had also thought about it, at worst, he could return the horse to his elder brother after the city walls were repaired. If Loki was punished by his elder brother, he would find a way to compensate Loki later.
Odin's calculations were very precise, but he forgot a crucial thing – Loki is safest when there is danger. Loki is most dangerous when there is no danger!
Yes!
Dangerous in every sense!
Odin didn't even know that his good brother, Thanes, had personally gone to lay down an Order Formation in the stable.
This matter was so hidden and strange that even the Valkyries were dumbfounded.
His Majesty the God-King laid down one formation after another, not knowing what they were for.
This was just a divine horse!
Was it necessary?
If it was to prevent the divine horse from escaping, why did they lead the divine horse out to build city walls?
Also, what were those stone slabs that the God-King had them bury in the stable ground?
The Valkyries originally thought this was all there was to it, but who knew that Thanes would issue an order that exploded Brunhilde and their curiosity.
"In the middle of the night, if you hear strange noises in the stable, do not approach it, and do not disturb it. Unless the horse is led away from the stable, do not interfere with anything. This concerns the struggle between Order and Chaos, so this order is absolute! Do you understand?"
Thanes spoke so earnestly that he stunned the Valkyries.
Their loyalty was absolute!
Such a great God-King was certainly worthy of them dying for him, and even with so many doubts in their hearts, they still chose to obey.
Their actions of burying the stone slabs were so serious, as if they were wiping a perfect piece of white porcelain with an extremely clean white gauze.
They felt that they should be so cautious.
The Valkyries were not ordinary people, they could faintly feel a mysterious power emanating from the stone slabs as soon as they were buried, colliding with the depths of the land of Asgard. The light of the branches of the World Tree above their heads also shone brighter.
It seemed that an invisible fire of law was quietly burning on this land.
Just like a river flowing into the sea, she could even feel a kind of excitement and joy emanating from the originally somewhat confused land.
No one knew that the laws or regulations that Thanes buried were so simple:
"Horses should be born in stables!"
"There should be reproductive isolation between different races!"
"Horses are odd-toed ungulate mammals of the Equidae family!"
"Horses only have two genders—male or female!"
"Horses only have four legs, one head, one neck, two eyes, two ears, one heart..."
Regarding the condition of horses, Thanes wrote a full 36 stone slabs.
At first glance, the laws written on these law stone slabs were extremely simple, to the point of being somewhat insulting to common sense.
But the world is so outrageous.
Every outrageous prohibition or law that ordinary people find unbelievable is often because there has been a very outrageous case.

On the night that the Valkyries buried the stone slabs, an uninvited guest came to this huge stable that could accommodate two teams of giants playing a football match—it was a very beautiful white mare.
The divine horse Svadilfari didn't know where the mare came from, but that didn't stop him from igniting his long-dormant heart.
This mare was very beautiful and very tall, a full seven meters at the shoulder, and could fully bear Svadilfari's violence.
The mare, exuding a strong pheromonal aura, snorted and turned to run away.
How could Svadilfari endure this?
Of course, it was you escape, I chase, you have no way to escape.
The mare's biggest failure was misjudging Svadilfari's speed, and as a result...
The next morning, Thanes saw a slightly frightened Brunhilde.
"Report, Your Majesty, something resembling a foal was found in the stable."
Thanes went to the scene to investigate, silently destroyed the corpse and eliminated the traces, and added a stone slab [Horses should have skin!]
On the third day, the situation was similar.
Thanes added [Horses should only have one mouth!], [Horses' four legs should be symmetrical], and 12 other stone slabs in one breath.
On the fourth day, the number of stone slabs increased to 88!
On the fifth day, there was finally a normal-looking giant foal, two meters tall at birth.
Thanes breathed a sigh of relief, was a little happy, and named this foal Asgardian Steed.
On the sixth day, he added another 36 stone slabs.
On the seventh day, he harvested Vanir Steed and Midgard Steed.
Finally, on the 15th day, Thanes calculated and found that the goddesses and his sons around him all had divine horses, and decisively and silently dug out and destroyed the law stone slab [Horses should be born in stables!].
On the other side, Odin found that 'Loki's' condition was very wrong.
"Loki, what's wrong with you? Why have you been coming back late and leaving early every day lately? What have you been doing?"
"No, nothing..." Loki showed a bright smile with a pale face: "Odin, I have a small gift for you."
Having said that, he led out a foal that looked very strong at first glance.
Odin easily sensed the strong aura of divine power emanating from this foal: "Ah! This is...for me? How did you get it?"
"Never mind, just tell me if you want it? Or do you want to ask Brother Thanes?"
Odin frowned, he had also heard that recently a batch of divine horse foals had suddenly appeared in Asgard for some unknown reason. As soon as he thought that even Thor, that junior, had one, Odin felt unhappy.
He accepted this 'four-legged' divine horse with a hearty laugh and named it Sleipnir!
