Stupid Odin
#46 - Treat him to a meal and behead him, and treat him like a dog!
Smiles don't disappear; they simply transfer from the face of one god to another.
When the Aesir gods and giants saw Odin and his forces returning triumphantly from Vanaheim, the scene erupted in thunderous cheers!
"Hahaha! The Vanir gods are nothing but a bunch of rats!"
"All the actions of those fools were within His Majesty's expectations."
"I'd love to see what kind of expression that Njord has on his face right now!"
Countless taunts and jeers transformed into hundreds of invisible arrows, piercing the chests of the Vanir goddesses who had become prisoners.
The unrestrained gazes of the Aesir gods and giants sent a chill down their spines, freezing them to the core, threatening to shatter even their souls.
When they lowered their heads, they could see the heads of Vanir gods hanging from Odin's waist.
This was an icy hell of fear and despair!
The Vanir goddesses tried to curl up, their beauty and alluring figures now their greatest disadvantage.
Among all the Vanir goddesses, only Freyja stood tall, proudly at the forefront.
Even though her lips trembled, she opened her arms, attempting to protect her two sisters.
Tyr didn't even glance at Freyja, but enthusiastically walked over and gave Odin an affectionate bear hug.
"Big brother, am I still that 'foolish brother' you talk about this time?" Odin said deliberately.
"If you had stubbornly refused to leave and insisted on fighting Njord, causing losses to the assault force, then you would still be that foolish brother."
Tyr laughed, "But this time… well done!"
The praise from his god-king brother made Odin feel as if he had eaten honey, sweet to the point where even his soul felt light and airy.
Just as Odin was about to enthusiastically introduce his spoils, a sudden thunderclap not far from the ruins attracted the attention of the gods.
Odin suggested, "Oh? Hasn't Thor finished things over there yet? Shall we go take a look?"
On the other side of the battlefield, Thor was fighting somewhat impatiently.
Unlike Odin, who couldn't do anything to Njord, Thor had always had an advantage against Freyr, the other old rival in the battle of attrition between the two great god clans.
It was always said: the Vanir gods are strong in magic, with many tricks; the Aesir gods are strong in body, excelling in melee combat.
As the decoy force, Freyr initially used magic in conjunction with his Sword of Victory, using hit-and-run tactics to drag down the powerful Thor.
Freyr wouldn't retreat unless Njord gave the retreat signal from the main battlefield.
The plan was initially successful, but as Freyr's Vanir gods were killed one by one by Vidar and the bow god Ullr, it turned into a pitiful situation where he was being beaten down by Thor.
The worst part was that even though several powerful Aesir gods didn't participate in the siege against him, their mere presence, standing by and watching, was enough to diminish Freyr's strength.
This was even under the circumstances where Vidar had announced in advance, "We're playing by the rules, one-on-one, no cheating allowed."
Freyr, who was not as strong as Thor, fought even more strenuously and quickly sacrificed his first life.
Freyr was even blocked by Vidar when he tried to escape.
He thought that was bad enough.
Who knew that the situation would take a sudden turn for the worse, and Njord was suddenly defeated.
This had put Freyr in a terrible position; now he couldn't even run!
Before long, when a group of Aesir gods, whose presence put immense pressure on Freyr, arrived at this final battlefield, Freyr was completely despondent.
"Ahhh!" The Sword of Victory, radiating intense divine light, repeatedly clashed against Thor's Mjolnir at extreme speed, creating a series of sparks.
Don't be fooled by Thor seeming to be suppressed; as the eldest son of the God-King, Thor's equipment was frighteningly magnificent.
The silver scale armor he wore was a divine artifact crafted by dwarven artisans.
If Freyr wasn't wielding a top-tier divine sword, this armor alone would allow Thor to remain unscathed.
Loki said with a wicked smile, "Thor, are you losing your touch? Do you want me to step in and help you?"
"Shut up, Loki! I've already taken one of his lives. You stay there and watch me kill him completely!"
At this stage, Thor was still the standard 'God of the Hammer,' overly reliant on his giant bloodline, possessing unparalleled strength and endurance.
Thor had never been afraid of anyone in a battle of attrition.
"Hahaha!" The Aesir gods let out a friendly burst of laughter.
After fighting one round, everyone knew that the Vanir gods were all durable.
Anyone present who had the ability to take a life from a Vanir god was a strong individual.
The more Freyr fought, the more desperate he became, and before long, he made a mistake and gave up his second life.
Freyr still didn't give up, gritting his teeth and continuing to fight Thor with all his might.
His spirit and energy, on the contrary, made the Aesir gods look at him with a new level of respect.
Even so, everyone knew that the overall situation was decided.
Just then, a pleasant but firm female voice rang out: "Your Majesty, I beg you to spare Freyr."
Under the gaze of everyone, Freyja, the most beautiful goddess of the Vanir, stepped forward and, under the watch of the Aesir gods, walked with firm steps and bowed gracefully before Tyr.
"Why should I spare this boy?" Tyr lowered his eyes, looking calmly at Freyja.
It must be admitted that as the most beautiful goddess in the entire Edda epic, Freyja had the assets to be proud of.
If Frigg's beauty was noble and graceful, Freyja's was purely sensual.
A pointed face full of charm, matched with captivating almond eyes, fiery red wavy hair, fair skin, delicate makeup, and those gravity-defying large weapons, along with that impossibly slender waist, she could be said to be the embodiment of desire in Norse mythology.
Not to mention Odin, who had personally captured her, even the surrounding Aesir gods frequently paid attention to her.
Facing Tyr's rhetorical question, Freyja showed no fear, she said solemnly: "Your Majesty can have me."
Tyr was unmoved: "You are already the property of the Aesir gods."
Freyja said decisively: "What I mean is, Your Majesty can have my heart, a complete me! As long as Freyr is released, I am even willing to fight for the Aesir in future battles, killing every Vanir god I see."
Before Tyr could answer, Freyr on the other side couldn't hold back.
"No! Sister! Don't kneel to that demon god king for my sake!"
"Shut up!" Thor, angered, launched a series of hammer blows, smashing Freyr so that he couldn't continue speaking.
In fact, many of the Aesir gods present had even more despicable thoughts, and would not have any psychological burden.
After all, the Aesir had been playing the game of forced marriage since Bor's generation.
Whether it was a giantess or a goddess, once they were snatched back and settled down, wouldn't they obediently live their lives?
Even Odin sneered.
Only Tyr had a different idea, looking around, he said loudly: "I am quite optimistic about this kid joining our Aesir clan in the future."
In one sentence, the whole place was in an uproar.
That's right, what Tyr wanted to play was—inviting guests, beheading, and taking them as dogs!
