Stupid Odin

#34 - 'Legendary King of Endurance'

Logically speaking, Odin shouldn't have attacked her.

Declaring a war against a pantheon of equal standing was the prerogative of the God-King.

Odin couldn't bear it, and neither could any of the gods and giants present.

Because Gullveig's opening statement subverted the legitimacy of the Aesir's rule and humiliated the entire Aesir pantheon, it was a declaration of war.

In this era, not long removed from barbarism, there was no concept of 'not killing envoys'; everyone's way of dealing with things was simple, crude, and direct.

There was nothing wrong with Odin's attack!

Without a doubt, the [Gungnir] he threw was an absolutely stunning blow!

The thrown divine spear was like a morning star, its light easily overshadowing the gleaming golden walls, piercing through the void and heading straight for Gullveig's heart!

The Vanir goddess opposite him wasn't trying to dodge.

She couldn't dodge!

She simply couldn't dodge!

The world before her eyes seemed to suddenly experience a subtle shift, her vision was fragmented; one moment the spear's light was still fifty meters away, the next it had already reached her chest.

The disruption of her senses made her slightly panicked.

Immediately following, a terrifying bloody hole appeared in her chest.

It wasn't until the Spear of Eternity drew a huge arc in the air and flew back into Odin's hand that Gullveig clearly saw Odin's attack.

Immediately after, she fell!

"Go to hell! You blasphemous bitch!" Finally, Odin spat in anger.

Having said that, Odin, with the aura of a true male god who never looks back at explosions, turned around proudly, ready to return to his divine throne.

Just then, a burst of contemptuous laughter came from behind him.

Odin seemed to be frozen in place, his whole body instantly stiffening, not to mention his eyeballs suddenly becoming bloodshot, and his thick neck, like that of a bull, turning with difficulty.

Not only him, but all the gods and giants in the hall were astonished to see Gullveig rising slowly from the ground with an unusual aura.

"Is this the power of the Aesir? It's really laughable." In her frivolous words, the overflowing mockery was like several slaps, stinging Odin's white face.

Thor, who had always been hot-tempered, became anxious, picked up [Mjolnir], and strode forward.

Just then, Thanos' leisurely voice came: "Thor, stop for me!"

Thor stopped in his tracks, turning his head back angrily, casting an incomprehensible look at his father, Thanos.

Not only him, but the gods and giants in the hall all expressed their incomprehension.

Has the God-King become timid?

If he really admits defeat, how can he have the nerve to stay on the holy throne of the God-King?

The expressions of disappointment in the eyes of several Aesir goddesses were almost undisguised.

Gullveig laughed even more happily, even more unrestrained!

"That's right! That's right! That's how it should be!" A cloud of black gas rushed onto the enchanting goddess, and after a series of rolling motions, the terrifying hole in her chest actually disappeared without a trace.

This scene made the gods gasp, what the hell was this?

Gullveig's ridicule was almost undisguised: "You barbarians with muscles for brains, how dare you call yourselves gods? Obediently hand over the dominance of the Jötunheimr, and our great God-King, Njord, might even grant you a small place to play your divine kingdom games behind closed doors!"

How could the gods and giants endure this humiliation?!

Their fists were already as hard as iron!

Just then, Thanos said unhurriedly: "My foolish brother! Why can't you ever learn to observe the enemy before attacking?"

Odin's neck shrank on the spot.

He was too miserable! He finally refined a divine spear, but he suffered a defeat in the first battle, and he was even lectured by his elder brother.

Thanos changed the subject and scolded Thor: "You're also an idiot! Odin has already failed, and you're still thinking of launching an attack with the same method? Step back! Watch carefully, learn carefully!"

Gullveig laughed wildly: "Hahaha! Is the so-called supreme Aesir God-King finally going to take action? Come on! I'm right here waiting to see if you can kill me?"

The crazy and evil goddess spread her arms like this, and even the hole in her clothes stabbed by [Gungnir] just now was not repaired, revealing a chest full of tattoos.

In the hall, almost every being in the Aesir camp was driven mad.

If it weren't for seeing God-King Thanos still looking confident, they would probably have blown up their lungs.

"Do I still need to take action against you personally?" This time, it was Thanos' turn to let out a contemptuous laugh: "Brunhilde! Take my divine sword and tell this trickster of a so-called goddess what the power of the Aesir is!"

"Yes!" The Valkyrie Brunhilde responded and stepped forward.

She is not a god; in this life, she is only the princess of a lower realm king, but she is highly valued by Thanos and ranks among the Valkyries.

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ say ⊥ in ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥ ⊥ book ⊥ ⊥ bar ⊥ ⊥ first ⊥ hair!

As a mortal, her figure is simply petite compared to the gods.

Her 1.79-meter figure can't even reach the waists of the gods, let alone compared to the giants who are often more than ten meters tall.

If Gullveig's challenge to the God-King just now was a humiliation to the Aesir, then Thanos' dispatch of Brunhilde now is nothing more than a different kind of humiliation to the Vanir.

If Brunhilde succeeds, then Odin's loss of composure will be instantly erased.

If this mortal woman fails, then it will be God-King Thanos' overconfidence, and even if Thanos makes some remedies later, it will greatly reduce his prestige.

But is it appropriate to entrust the God-King's prestige to a mortal woman?

Are the so-called Valkyries really just showpieces as rumored?

The gods don't know the answer, and Brunhilde herself doesn't know even more.

She only knows to grip the divine sword that fell from the sky and launch an attack without hesitation towards the opposing goddess who is more than twice her height.

Out of extreme provocation towards the Aesir, Gullveig did not dodge, and the divine sword was inserted straight into her abdominal cavity from a lower angle.

I'm sorry, with Brunhilde's height and the length of the [Sword of Niflheim], this is the best angle she calculated. In theory, piercing through the abdominal cavity can also pierce the enemy's heart and lungs!

Thrust in, pull out, the Valkyrie's movements were completed in one go.

I saw the enchanting goddess in front of me surrounded by black gas, and then all eyes saw countless cold mists drilling into her body from the wound.

A second later, Gullveig's wailing screams shook the sky and the earth.

"No! What's going on? What did you do?!" She stared at Thanos on the throne with disbelief. She really wanted to continue to vent her anger with poisonous words. When she opened her mouth again, she was shocked to find that her mouth, throat, lungs, stomach, and even intestines and every hole in her body were filled with a cold mist.

When her divine body knelt uncontrollably towards the throne, there was an uproar in the hall.

There was a charming upturn at the corner of Thanos's mouth.

Heh heh!

As expected of the 'legendary hard-to-kill king' who was beaten by Odin and Thor three times in the epic [Edda] and still didn't die.

Unfortunately, true damage is the most real damage in this world!
