Stupid Odin
#243 - There is only one answer
The people of Akkad watched everything happening in the world with trepidation.
It seemed like a huge change was occurring, yet also like nothing had changed at all.
The sun rose in the east and set in the west as usual.
Some things that had once been lost even returned.
Rumor had it that some Aesir-sent attendant gods had taken over part of the world's operation.
Strangely, the new gods did not spread their faith here, nor was there any news of new oppressive policies.
The Akkadian mortals felt as if they were both forgotten and not completely forgotten.
This strange feeling bewildered them.
Meanwhile, Downs summoned the Akkadian moon god Sin in the Silver Palace, or rather, Nanna as he is now called.
"You said you were attacked once? Was it them?" Downs presented the image of Loki in the third mysterious world.
Nanna nodded: "I recognize him, him and her."
"Then do you recognize their world?"
Nanna shook his head: "I'm sorry, Your Majesty, my knowledge of the Akkadian world is limited to the Akkadian world itself. I do not understand knowledge beyond the scope of the world. The entire pantheon was unprepared for both the last attack and this one."
This is the classic ignorant old god who knows nothing about outer space.
In a sense, like the Sumerian world last time, pantheons with the ability to explore outer space are the exception.
This illustrates from another perspective that Ishtar, the sky goddess who can wander in the chaotic universe, is definitely one of the few.
After Nanna's explanation, Downs learned that Akkad was attacked by the Slavic pantheon more than two years ago, losing a small battle and sacrificing one-third of its gods and nearly one-quarter of its population being taken away as the price to drive away the enemy.
This is a bit off in terms of timing.
Logically speaking, the Slavic pantheon should have already been destroyed at that point in time.
Nanna swore again that his family had indeed been attacked by the Slavic gods.
Then there is only one answer: it is highly likely that the Slavic world was truly destroyed. The Aztec pantheon, which captured the Slavic gods, drove them to launch a plunder of the Akkadian world.
This is very thought-provoking.
The three major South American pantheons—Maya, Inca, and Aztec—are not powerful pantheons in terms of pantheon rank.
For a pantheon to be powerful, there are only two factors: one is that the 'world' must be large, with more earth, water, fire, and wind element resources; the other is that the population must be large, and the power of faith brought by intelligent creatures will be strong enough.
It's not that Downs is deliberately disparaging the three major South American pantheons, but in fact, there is a reason why they are regarded as niche pantheons by Earthlings.
On the other hand, since the Aztec pantheon could destroy the stronger Slavic world, why would it let go of the weaker Akkadian world?
This simply cannot be explained by coincidence!
Look at the Jötunheimr world's will.
The current Jötunheimr world is like holding an Akkadian world in its mouth. If Downs hadn't repeatedly emphasized that devouring the other world at this time would cause serious weakness to the world, and that there was a high probability of being attacked by the enemy at this time, the Jötunheimr world's will would have already started eating.
Being able to obediently endure has proven that the Jötunheimr will has absolute trust in Downs, believing in his judgment.
Downs waved his hand and let Nanna retreat.
His burly divine body leaned against the back of the shining God-King throne, thinking to himself: then... there is only one answer!
...
Be it people or gods.
Everyone is bound by their own shallow subjective cognition.
Most of them only see the twisted lightning flashing in the heavy clouds on the distant horizon, but they cannot imagine that outside the spatial barrier, in the chaotic universe that cannot be seen far away, a world-destroying collision is brewing.
If Downs hadn't used a large amount of Earth's modern knowledge and used powerful souls such as Kraken as repeaters for divine thought transmission, guiding the few gods with spatial flight capabilities, they wouldn't dare to venture out hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
Coincidentally, that Aztec world was rushing straight towards Jötunheimr without any hesitation, and a standard three-way confluence just happened to appear in front of the cosmic ocean current.
Tell me, how 'coincidental' is that?
Since the other party's trump cards have been figured out, Downs doesn't mind starting a war at this point.
As a chess player who likes to gather more winning trump cards before the war, Downs is more willing to wait a little longer for Loki's clone to see if this god of trickery can bring him any surprises.
In that world...
Loki's clone used his old trick [Shapeshifting].
He spotted the appearance of a high-ranking priest of the other main pantheon, directly transformed into that guy, and then slightly changed his shape and appearance.
He was confident that unless the corresponding god of the other main pantheon came to see in person, no one would be able to tell that he was a fake.
It should have been like this.
Who knew that Loki would still be exposed.
"Come here." The light divine voice carried an irresistible meaning.
Loki's clone had only strolled to the bottom corner of a trapezoidal temple when he was called to a halt.
In a moss-covered stone house window, a goddess with beautiful wavy golden hair stared at him intently.
"Oh? Is there anything I can do for you?" Loki made a gesture like those priests with what he believed to be no flaws.
The goddess with a golden crown of thorns on her head sighed and directly sent her divine voice into his brain: [Idiot! You've been exposed, hurry up and come over!]
The muscles in Loki's cheeks twitched, and he decided to do as he was told.
After entering, he quietly watched several goddess handmaidens busy closing the windows, and even two handmaidens hugged and cuddled together by the bed.
Loki's eyes were cold as he looked at the goddess opposite him.
This beautiful and plump goddess leaned lazily on a luxurious chaise lounge that was out of place in this bluestone room, squinting at him.
[Could you please introduce yourself first? I am Shiva, the Slavic goddess of fertility.]
"Kiro!" Loki's clone replied, "Could the goddess please tell me where exactly I was exposed?"
[Everything!] The goddess chuckled, and when her full breasts trembled, every gemstone on them was shaking lightly.
She laughed for a while before straightening her face and saying: [Your disguise is very good, even I was deceived. Your biggest mistake is taking us all seriously. A true Quetzalcoatl priest's greatest interest is to randomly pick one of my handmaidens that he deems suitable to use as a sacrifice. He would even kill one at random to see if her heart is 'qualified'.]
Loki felt a burst of nausea, but he still curled his lips, performed an Aesir salute, and replied with divine thought: [I am taught.]
