Stupid Odin

#233 - Blow up the other side of the world?

"Oh my! What can I do? Your mother's beauty is innate, not something ordinary people can compare to. I'll just have to make do this time."

No matter how long they're together, Gilgamesh and Ishtar are like natural enemies. After a few words, poor Gil feels like his blood pressure is about to explode.

Fortunately, there are still a few 'blood pressure stabilizers' on the scene.

Ereshkigal rebukes her impulsive sister: "Ishtar, it's not that Gilgamesh is being unfilial, it's just that the time was too short, and he could only prepare bodies like these."

Ishtar responds, but as soon as she turns her head, she mutters about how this body isn't beautiful enough, her chest is too small, her legs are too thick, and so on.

Her good son's fists are already clenched listening to her!

This is a divine descent!

It's already not easy to find so many mortal bodies sufficient to carry their divine power. He is a pharaoh right now, and he turned this acquired, cheap country upside down to scrape together a dozen or so barely usable mortal believers, plus priests who were already of good quality, as materials.

Gilgamesh is exhausted, and after his old mother descends, she still complains about this and that. It would be strange if he wasn't depressed.

Fortunately, the former Water God of Wisdom, Enki, also came. This Sumerian good old god quickly comforted everyone.

After exchanging greetings, Gilgamesh began to explain the current situation in detail.

"The gods of Heliopolis here are divided into the 'Ennead' and other ordinary deities based on their degree of nobility. Now, the entire pantheon is almost split in two because Set, the god of the desert and storms, murdered his brother Osiris, the god of the underworld and agriculture, and seized the throne of the gods. Now, Osiris's son Horus is instigating the gods to resist Set's rule. The entire pantheon, along with the mortal world, is divided in two and plunged into a full-scale civil war."

Any of the Aesir gods would feel that this situation was an opportunity to show their skills.

All impregnable fortresses in the world are breached from within.

If the Ennead, along with a large number of major and minor gods below, worked together to resist the Aesir, perhaps the Aesir would have to put in some effort to take down this Egyptian world.

The problem is that the false king is messing around.

Recently, this world also experienced a Chaos invasion. In order to repel these Chaos demons, the world lost a large amount of water element, which led to the desertification of large areas of land on this giant continent.

Large numbers of mortals died from famine.

The surviving humans are concentrated along the Nile River.

This was already difficult enough, but Set seized the opportunity of the significant weakening of the 'Agriculture' domain and assassinated his elder brother.

This has turned into a civil war, coupled with Chaos erosion, a double crisis tormenting the world.

Unfortunately, the strengths of Horus and Set are not far apart, and the two factions of gods are fighting like dogs, so much so that no one cares about the erosion of Chaos power…

Intelligence is limited, but after listening to Gilgamesh's explanation, Enki already understands why the world allowed them, the Sumerian gods, to enter as if it were trying to save itself.

"This is indeed a golden opportunity!"

"Lord Enki, what do you think we should do?" Gilgamesh knows that his old mother is unreliable, so he places his hopes on Enki.

"We don't need to do anything. Just adapt to the laws of this world as soon as possible."

"Ah?"

Enki smiles: "The infighting of the Egyptian gods to the point of mutual destruction is most in line with our interests. Before I came, His Majesty said the same thing."

"Father God knows what's happening here?"

"After you sent the first mental image, His Majesty the God-King used his 'Prophecy' ability to deduce almost everything."

"What if the situation changes?"

"If Horus is at a disadvantage, then we will slightly favor Horus. After all, one of His Majesty's most core divine duties is 'Kingship'! Only true orthodoxy will gain His Majesty's favor. If Set is powerful, then we will watch the show." The wrinkles on Enki's face completely smoothed out.

The muscles in Gilgamesh's face twitched slightly: "Uh, somewhat."

"You feel it's a bit boring, right? Your Highness, you better listen to your Father God—the best warriors have no glorious achievements. He is best at gathering all the chips for victory before the war, forcing the opponent to fight, and then deciding the outcome in one battle. Your Highness, there is still much you need to learn."

"Understood." Gilgamesh never hesitates to pay his respects to true wise men.

As for his silly old mother… forget it.

On the other side, in the Silver Palace, Thanes watched Ishtar's main body send her avatar down and then return.

Thanes breathed a sigh of relief: "If there are no accidents, the overall situation is set."

Thor was both surprised and a little disappointed: "The overall situation is set just like that?"

"Pretty much!"

If Thanes hadn't established the divine persona of 'Keeping Promises,' or if the presiding God-King was Odin, he could have helped whoever was weaker, ensuring that both sides in the Egyptian pantheon exhausted themselves to death before stepping in to clean up.

Hate is something that will inevitably spiral upwards as long as the war lasts long enough.

Borrowing the deadly feud between the two Egyptian factions, Thanes has a hundred ways to play them all to death.

Unfortunately, a lack of principles is a double-edged sword. If the God-King takes the lead in breaking the rules, don't expect the gods below to abide by them.

This kind of disorganized pantheon can still show off its power when it encounters weak opponents, but once it encounters a strong opponent, it will collapse at the first touch.

To deal with the Egyptian pantheon, Thanes can stay out of it in the early stages, but once he intervenes, he is destined to help Horus or Horus's descendants.

Thor asked: "Father God, can we only wait?"

Thanes casually perfunctorily answered his good son:

"Thor, your father has taught you. If you are just a vanguard, a simple fighting general, you can dare to fight hard, because that is your only chance to stand out. As the crown prince of the Aesir, you must consider how to achieve victory at the smallest cost while maintaining order. Moreover, no one can guarantee that when we attack the Egyptian world, another world will not sneak attack us."

"Father God, I am grateful for your teachings."

Thanes's thoughts once again crossed the barriers of worlds with his divine sense, going to the outer layer of the Egyptian world on the other side.

After Ishtar's repeated surveys, it can be basically determined that the size of the Egyptian world is about three to seven compared to Ginunngagap.

Ginunngagap is more than twice as big as the other side.

With such a difference in world size, if there were no flute-shaped ocean current channel to block it, Thanes was confident that he could devour the other side alive within a week.

It's troublesome to be blocked by this strange channel.

If it continues to be blocked like this, to really eat the Egyptian world, it must be dismantled and then divided into small worlds in the shape of long strips and stuffed through the holes.

Doing so would be very troublesome.

The other world will definitely not agree, after all, each split is a separation of the world's will.

Unless Gilgamesh can completely control the opposite world's will and have absolute control, the Egyptian world will not agree.

Then the remaining method is to use Chaos power… to blow up the Egyptian world.
