Stupid Odin

#227 - Parallel cosmic currents

Chaos, boundless.

These turbulent, murky energy currents ceaselessly battered against the barrier of the Jormungandr World.

After nearly 20 years of Thor's shaping, the Jormungandr World had long been transformed.

If anyone could observe from an overhead perspective, aside from the vanguard Pathfinder, the Kraken II, the entire Jormungandr World now resembled a giant octopus.

Countless roots, large and small, jutted forward like a massive beard, the longest reaching tens of thousands of kilometers.

Behind the roots lay a reassembled layer of the Luluhani Rock.

Having eliminated a God of a Realm, every corresponding deity in that domain would experience a significant boost. Thor painstakingly collected the scattered fragments of the Luluhani Rock from every corner of the chaotic universe.

Achieving 100% was impossible, but seven or eight-tenths was still attainable.

These broken rock fragments, like cracked eggshells, certainly couldn't replicate their original, near-perfect isolation effect. Pieced together and combined with the roots of the World Tree, they formed a massive, hemispherical, spiked rock layer resembling a giant nail-studded trap.

It couldn't completely block the erosion of chaotic energy, but it could effectively prevent another world from directly colliding, as it had with Niflheim in the Jormungandr World last time.

Thor, being so cautious, certainly wouldn't confine the sturdy rock fragments to just one direction. He placed massive rock fragments as protection in five directions: opposite Asgard, above, and to the left, right, front, and back.

In the middle layer, a total of 18 slightly smaller rock fragments were used for enhanced protection.

With his mind synchronized with the World's Will, these rock fragments could be mobilized and deployed in emergencies.

The second layer served as the Jormungandr World's 'ammunition depot.' The portions of the Slavic world that hadn't been absorbed and had been severely corrupted by chaos were fashioned into giant spikes specifically for greeting hostile worlds.

The third layer was the original Sumerian Celestial Realm.

Here, the original appearance was preserved to the greatest extent possible, and a small amount of divine power was infused to maintain the operation of the Celestial Realm.

This was a false Celestial Realm, designed to act as a fortified city if the enemy invaded.

Moreover, this false Sumerian Celestial Realm completely enveloped the inner space of the entire Jormungandr World. Any Outer God entering would assume it was the true Celestial Realm of Jormungandr, unaware that the true divine realm of Jormungandr was concentrated near the 'tail' of the overhead view, in Asgard.

Following the direction of advance, the fourth layer was the true entry point into the Jormungandr World. However, following the path of invasion, the enemy would only be invading the newly created lower world, centered on the Sumerian continent.

Borrowing the World Merge, Thor had nearly reshaped half of the Jormungandr World, which was the limit of what he could do.

In addition to the World's improvement, Thor and those who had slain deities of corresponding divine offices had also experienced their own enhancements.

As Sky Gods, their strengths could vary greatly.

Simply put, one sky could be small, and another could be vast. The deity with the larger domain of 'Sky' would undoubtedly have an advantage in terms of divine power.

Moreover, Thor discovered that he had also incorporated the divine office of the 'Wind' element.

The Aesir did not have a pure Wind God, so after eliminating Enlil, 'Wind' could only benefit Thor. Thor didn't take all of this divine office; after all, 'Wind' included 'Thunder'.

Thor dismembered the authority of Wind and gave a considerable portion to Thor.

If Thor wanted, he could now be like a Thunder God, blasting away non-stop.

Unfortunately, some people's combat habits were deeply ingrained.

Thor was accustomed to using his powerful body to charge, and it would be quite difficult for him to suddenly transform from a charging berserker into a mage-type deity who focused on ranged attacks.

Forcibly changing him would also erase his spirituality and advantages.

Of course, Thor didn't want this kid to be like Gandalf, with only a little 'Light' talent and charging in recklessly the whole time.

Below Thor, the greatest beneficiary was Frey. After slaying the Sumerian Sun God Utu, Frey's 'Sun' authority had at least doubled.

Without Thor's checks and balances, Frey actively ceded a portion of his authority to 'Child of Light' Cú Chulainn. At this point, as long as Cú Chulainn obtained a proper divine office, he would be a genuine god, at least a minor one.

In fact, this operation somewhat encroached upon the divine office of 'God of Light' Baldr. Since this was spoils of war, Baldr, who hadn't contributed, naturally had no right to express an opinion.

The key was that Baldr had been brutally beaten by Ishtar in the last war and had achieved no results. He was embarrassed to speak up.

In addition, after slaying the Sumerian Marduk, several gods with the 'War' divine office on the Aesir side were strengthened, including Thor, Thor, and Tyr.

Another ten years passed.

Gilgamesh, eighteen years old!

The day of the first battle arrived without warning.

On this day, Thor suddenly felt something.

The Kraken II, a large cannon fodder probe, sensed that the world passage ahead was narrowing.

"Hmm?" Thor received the message immediately and used the divine office of 'Sky' to simulate the situation of the passage ahead in his mind.

In the past, even though the Jormungandr World moved along the ocean currents in the universe like a tide, overall, it was a state of not being able to sense the edge, more like sailing on the sea.

The front was different!

Through maximum perception, it could be basically confirmed that it was a super-huge cavern similar to an underground river.

The Jormungandr World could enter. From the obviously faster speed of the ocean currents coming from the left, right, top, and bottom, it was highly likely that the world would travel in a passage that might not exceed one million kilometers in diameter.

However, it was difficult for Thor to refuse.

The Jormungandr World could, under his control, remain stationary against the universal ocean currents.

As a price, it would require consuming the energy of the entire world.

Although it seemed like a small consumption in the short term, what about lengthening the time axis to decades or hundreds of years?

Could the Jormungandr World remain stuck at the entrance of this ocean current forever?

It was unrealistic to even think about it.

Thor summoned the gods and announced the situation. Soon, without Thor naming anyone.

Enki took the initiative to step forward and salute: "Your Supreme Majesty, your subject believes that we have no room to refuse."

"Continue."

"We will eventually have to enter. Rather than entering with the Jormungandr World expending too much energy and entering in an exhausted state, it is better to take advantage of the world's energy being sufficient and kill our way in, facing that destined opponent in the best state."

What Enki said made sense, not to mention those gods who were inherently warlike.

Thor and the others' eyes were shining, yearning for a new divine war to come.

Every god who was not a direct descendant of the Aesir clan hoped to improve the status of their clan through the new war.

Thor looked around the hall, saw pairs of fiery eyes, and then nodded: "Since that's the case, then let's go in."

Seven days later, a new, parallel universal chaotic ocean current was discovered.
