Stupid Odin

#192 - Weird 'rock' world

Ultimately, the Aesir were a race of war fanatics. A pantheon revered by Viking pirates could hardly be considered a group of peaceful farmers.

The true test for the Aesir King wasn't wartime, but peacetime.

From the crown prince Thor to the most ordinary mortal warrior, everyone was a battle maniac, while the king, Thors, was the rational one.

Peacetime was the real test of a king's leadership and internal affairs skills.

Of course, after experiencing Ragnarok and a foreign war, everyone understood that without King Thors harmonizing the world, completing its merger, and creating a new natural cycle, they wouldn't possess their current level of power.

Understanding this was one thing, but everyone was itching for a chance to vent their energy.

The introduction of the Danaans and new gods into the Aesir pantheon served as an impetus for the Vanir and the wave goddess in the middle ranks. At the same time, the recovered Danaans hoped to improve their bottom-tier status within the pantheon.

In particular, Morrigan, the war goddess of the Danaans, as a 'former' war goddess, had the greatest desire for war. When the two worlds merged, her divine authority was weakened, relegating her to a subordinate position under Tyr.

Upon hearing the news this time, she was definitely among the loudest voices.

The entrance to the Golden Palace was a scene of fervent excitement.

Those qualified to enter rushed inside, while those who weren't lingered at the entrance, craning their necks to peek inside whenever the doors opened.

The hall inside was even more lively.

"My lord, what's the latest news?"

"Your Majesty, please let me lead the charge this time."

These single-minded fellows were giving Thors a headache, forcing him to roar and temporarily quell their restless hearts: "Silence! I never fight unprepared battles. I'll send out scouts first. Come back in a day!"

"Yes..."

Thors dismissed the group and went to Valhalla.

Once again, it was time for the 'training soldiers for a thousand days, using them for a moment' situation.

Thors never intentionally provoked wars in mortal kingdoms like Midgard, but he wouldn't forcibly forbid them either. Countries would fight over anything, from a large mine to a small stream, all for the sake of natural resources.

War brought casualties, and the Valkyries would select outstanding mortal warriors from the various battles and bring them to Valhalla.

The battles of Ragnarok had already proven that the soul strength of mortal warriors was limited.

Thors no longer regarded the Einherjar as the main force, but instead preferred to use them as spies in the opposing world, as he had done before.

Siegfried and Beowulf were prime examples from the Celtic world.

For their successful service, Thors fulfilled his promise and promoted them to demigods, serving as Scathach's assistants, helping to train new Einherjar.

However, before sending out a new batch of Einherjar as scouts, Thors did something else.

In the chaotic universe, an invisible force gathered, and then, one by one, Chaos Demons and Chaos Giants were fired at different angles towards the location where Kraken's soul was attacked.

These creatures were all Chaos beings that Thors had accumulated during Ragnarok and the Celtic War.

Yes, he hadn't annihilated them all at once, but instead used the power of Order to encase these fellows, saving them for times like these, to be used as stones to test the waters.

Regardless of how Thors launched these creatures, everything he did seemed futile.

Because not a single Chaos creature could penetrate the seemingly impenetrable protective net, they shattered against an immense wall like eggs.

Thors seemed oblivious, continuing to launch Chaos Demons, but spreading the projection area to the flanks and above and below.

"Bang, bang, bang—"

Another stone-like Chaos Demon was blasted apart, but interestingly, three hundred meters away, a Chaos Demon slipped past on a parallel trajectory.

Thors rested his chin on his hand, squinting, seemingly dozing off, but in his mind, a standard conical space was completely outlined.

"The opponent seems to be a powerful ranged attack deity, indiscriminately attacking Order and Chaos creatures. The limit of perception in the chaotic universe is about 100 kilometers, and the effective attack range for large targets should be no less than 50 kilometers, and 5 kilometers for small targets... Quite excellent perception!"

Finally, Thors made his assessment.

Don't think that Thors could throw Kraken's soul to the front lines of the world, a full 100,000 kilometers away.

That was only possible with the power of the entire Jötunheimr world as a boost.

Moreover, that was passive perception. The thing would periodically launch a soul pulse with Order attributes towards the rear. When the pulse stopped, something had happened.

This is different from active perception.

Active perception often means that when you perceive the other party, the other party can most likely perceive your existence as well.

After all, it is very possible that the other party's perception is higher than yours, which is equivalent to stepping into the enemy's ambush circle without even noticing them.

But now, Thors has basically figured out the other party's attributes by testing the waters...

On the other side, a huge bow hovered in the void of the chaotic universe.

A female deity wearing revealing clothing frowned, standing in the air. She put her left hand on her hip, flicked her radiant golden wavy hair with her right hand, and looked displeased.

"What's going on? There's more and more messy stuff in the 'Sweet Sea' and 'Salty Sea'? What disgusting things?"

As she muttered, her hands didn't stop, and countless arrows of light shot out from the stringless bow, accurately killing the Chaos Demons that seemed to drift along with the chaotic currents.

She quickly got bored.

"Hmph! Forget it, anyway, these trash can't break through Anu's 'Luludanitu' rock layer!" After saying this impatiently, the goddess actually turned and left.

The goddess's departure caused Thors, who was 100,000 kilometers away, to feel a moment of confusion.

But he continued to scatter Chaos Demons like beans, until those Chaos Demons passively collided with a huge and solid existence.

"This is... a world?"

What a big world!

In terms of volume alone, it was even larger than the original Jötunheimr world. Only after swallowing the Celtic world could the new version of the Jötunheimr world steadily surpass it in volume.

This new world was very strange. In Thors's cognition, most worlds should be like leather balls, with an elastic and tough world barrier. Only such a barrier would facilitate the expansion or contraction of the world.

This world was different.

Its outer layer was made of extremely hard rock.

Even so, Thors would at most think that this was a barren planet or something.

It was extremely unique. Not only did it have a structure similar to a walnut shell, but its interior was full of high divinity!

"What? A celestial god acting as the world's barrier?"
