Stupid Odin

#176 - Morgan's dramatic end

This scene left everyone speechless, not just ordinary people who didn't understand magic, but even Merlin, the Archmage.

He could easily come up with a hundred kinds of magic to counter the evil spells of the witch Morgan. But he could never directly erase the source of her magic!

It was like cutting off the water source at the source, so no matter how much the downstream struggled, not a single drop of water would flow out.

Such a way of fighting that sealed off the opponent's [magic] source could be called a cheat.

This was a God-King!

Merlin looked at King Arthur in astonishment. He really didn't know why King Arthur could so easily latch onto a God-King.

In any case, this was a blessing for Camelot!

King Arthur, surrounded by knights, held the Holy Sword and slowly approached the mother and son in the field on horseback.

Even though Mordred's neck veins were bulging and his face was contorted, he held his sword, constantly moving the blade, pointing at the knights and warriors who had originally obeyed his orders. But no one paid attention to him.

The 'rebels' simply held up their shields and formed a huge encirclement from a distance, preventing him from breaking through.

King Arthur approached, his eyes full of sorrow.

"Mordred, why?" King Arthur had never publicly acknowledged Mordred's identity, but that didn't stop him from pouring a lot of effort into the hope of cultivating him into a noble knight.

Obviously, King Arthur had failed!

"Not so many 'whys'! This is the throne that belongs to my mother! In the future, it will be my throne! I just want to take away what belongs to us, mother and son!" Every word of Mordred's was like a sharp knife, deeply piercing King Arthur's heart!

Arthur completed the selection ceremony by pulling out the Sword in the Stone.

But for some people, this is the so-called 'illegitimate acquisition'!

Hearing this, King Arthur's sun-like dazzling golden hair seemed to dim, and his voice, which was more crisp and melodious than a minstrel's, was full of hoarseness, and even his bright blue eyes became turbid for a moment.

"If it were just the country of Camelot, I would even be willing to forgive your rebellion. It's a pity that you shouldn't, shouldn't, shouldn't have launched a rebellion and expanded the chaos of the world when the world was in a crisis of being swallowed by chaos."

When King Arthur said the first half of his sentence, his great knights Gawain, Bedivere, and others instantly became nervous. You must know that King Arthur was very generous to his own people. When Lancelot and Guinevere were having platonic love, he even tacitly allowed this situation.

When Lancelot ran away with the Queen, he didn't really want his subordinates to chase after them.

Being soft-hearted to his own people can be said to be his biggest weakness.

Fortunately, King Arthur still prioritized the overall situation.

This made Gawain and the others secretly breathe a sigh of relief.

At this time, Morgan suddenly became surrounded by a dark aura, and at the same time screamed: "Arthur! Don't think you've won! I will curse you..."

When Morgan said this, Merlin was shocked, he raised his hand trying to stop Morgan: "Don't curse, you will..."

Before Merlin could finish speaking, Morgan had already cursed everything in one breath: "Curse you to never get the throne! Curse you to die by the hand of a relative! Curse you... Ah—"

The next change shocked everyone present.

Morgan had thought that she might die after her rebellion failed.

She never thought that one day she would die from the backlash of a curse.

She was not clear how powerful the blessings on King Arthur were. This power, which had never appeared in the Celtic world, had a mystery that she could not analyze in her lifetime.

So when she used a curse with a slight chaotic power, her spell was perfectly reflected due to the absolute difference in level.

All her curses on King Arthur fell on herself.

Morgan's heart was like a magnet, easily attracting Mordred's sword!

It sounds incredibly absurd!

Unfortunately, the most top-level curse is such an outrageous thing.

In order to achieve the goal of the curse, it can maximize the distortion of facts and the laws of the world.

The only problem is that curses often achieve the final result in a way that exceeds the caster's imagination!

When the curse rebounded, then the person who could not be king and died by the hand of a relative became her, Morgan.

The mother and son looked at each other, both stunned.

As Morgan's lover and Mordred's father, King Arthur was also stunned.

No one imagined that things would develop like this.

Just as King Arthur's brain was blank, Morgan's body had already fallen softly, Mordred's eyes were bloodshot, looking at his blood-stained hands in disbelief.

"I, I, what have I done?" Mordred could not accept his mother's death.

The next second, Mordred made a move that Arthur and all the knights found a little difficult to understand.

He wiped his sword across his neck...

The rebellious knight Mordred, died!

A punitive war that was originally going to cost almost all of King Arthur's knights, a lose-lose situation, an epic tragedy, ended a bit inexplicably.

King Arthur didn't come to his senses for a long time, he looked at the Archmage Merlin a little blankly.

Merlin sighed: "Do you still remember the blessing of His Majesty the God-King? He said [I grant you freedom from the suffering of magic!]. So Morgan's curse magic was reflected back. It became her own doing."

King Arthur's facial muscles twitched, he didn't know whether he should cry or what.

This mess was caused by his sister Morgan going crazy, extremely jealous of him, and coveting the throne of Britain. He, Arthur, was not wrong, and His Majesty the God-King who sheltered him was even less wrong.

All the mistakes were his sister Morgan and his illegitimate son Mordred's fault.

King Arthur couldn't really be happy about quelling the rebellion in this way.

But he must be happy!

With the death of Morgan and Mordred, not to mention the loyal knights around him, even the rebels who knelt down to beg for forgiveness began to cheer.

"Hahaha! Dead! The hateful rebels are finally dead."

"Good riddance!"

"This is their due retribution!"

"Your Majesty! Please lead us to clear the chaos and restore order to the world!"

"Yes! Your Majesty—"

King Arthur's mouth was full of bitterness, but he could only force a smile, nodding, responding to the soldiers' requests.

The cheers of the Camelot soldiers were even louder.

For Arthur himself, this rebellion was still a tragedy.

For Camelot, this was a complete victory.

The original infighting was completely eliminated, and the entire kingdom was able to retain its combat power to the greatest extent.

Back in the familiar throne in Camelot's palace, Arthur felt that all his strength had been taken away.

"Your Majesty, the kingdoms of Connacht and Ulster in the northern islands, and the Knights of Fianna in the east have all sent requests for joint operations." Bedivere walked over and lowered his voice: "This is also the will of His Majesty the God-King Paulson."

"Prepare to cross the sea and fight!" Arthur waved his hand, closing his heavy eyelids.
