Stupid Odin

#133 - Angry World

Was this the malice of fate, or the reincarnation of destiny?

Despite all the effort Thor put in, scheming to trap Loki and manipulating the Tablets of Order, Sleipnir ultimately couldn't escape the fate of becoming an eight-legged horse.

On the gigantic horse's body, four extra legs grew out in extreme visual disharmony, two rows of eight legs in total. Paired with an exaggerated thirty-meter shoulder height, Sleipnir's size surpassed all the giants on Thor's side.

Across from him, Odin's size was almost half the height of Ymir, the giant of the Frost Giant clan from back then. Even though he was sitting on horseback and the view wasn't clear, his height was estimated to exceed forty meters.

Note that this was Odin without using any growth magic.

The drastically increased height meant that all of Odin's previous armor was no longer applicable.

He wore several randomly sewn pieces of unknown animal hide, making him look quite shabby compared to Thor's golden helmet and armor. Considering his exaggerated size, it instead created a barbaric pressure full of primal power!

Such a huge Odin, paired with the other gigantic beasts, didn't seem too out of place.

In the western sky, a black venomous dragon with pure black scales flapped its wings, with fragments of many human corpses falling from its back, covered in uneven keratinous layers.

This was the venomous dragon Nidhogg. It not only gnawed on the roots of the World Tree on a regular basis, but also frequently appeared in the Nastrond region of the underworld, where a venomous river flowed. Sinners guilty of murder, adultery, and breaking oaths would have to wade through the poisonous water, and Nidhogg was responsible for chewing on them.

Nidhogg was prophesied to fly out of the dark mountains of the northern underworld after Ragnarok. Now, it had come, not only arriving but also flapping its wings and carrying corpses.

When Nidhogg, with a wingspan of at least two hundred meters, appeared in the sky above Midgard, it naturally caused a commotion among the gods and giants.

However, it wasn't the largest in size; its dimensions were at most comparable to the evil dragon Fafnir. The real aerial behemoth was the great eagle Vedrfolnir. This beast, originally dwelling at the top of the World Tree's crown, had a wingspan exceeding four hundred meters.

The silver lining was that it didn't seem as 'fully armed' as the two dragons. The feathers of this flat-feathered beast seemed to have weaker defense than the dragon scales of the dragons.

When these three aerial behemoths soared back and forth in the distant sky, constantly emitting excited and evil cries, not to mention the battleships of Asgard, even the Frost Giant army of the allied forces below them felt a commotion of cowardice.

Logically speaking, if they were really taken seriously, these three aerial behemoths would probably restrain themselves a bit.

Unfortunately, they couldn't restrain themselves at all!

Seeing the miserable appearance of the mortal creatures, the two dragons and the eagle actually emitted sounds full of sneering meaning one after another, and then made intimidating near-ground swooping actions towards these 'fun mortals'.

It was one thing for the giants to be frightened, but even the descendants of Fenrir suffered, which angered Skoll. This sun-chasing wolf bared its teeth at the sky, emitting a low warning roar.

Unexpectedly, the two dragons and the eagle simply ignored it, and in the blink of an eye formed a tacit understanding, constantly swooping down on Skoll from three directions, scaring Skoll.

Nidhogg even pecked Skoll's wolf tail once. This time, Skoll was truly enraged and opened its mouth to bite at the pouncing Fafnir.

Unfortunately, it bit into thin air!

This scene caused a burst of laughter in the Asgardian army.

Thor shouted from afar, his divine voice directly floating several kilometers away.

"Odin, is this the army you're using to subvert my rule over the Nine Realms? How laughable!" Thor's voice was so loud, as if a huge bell as tall as the heavens and earth was ringing.

For a moment, even the Frost Giants on the opposite side felt a sense of being overwhelmed, with a sense of trance as if their hearts were being heavily pressed by something.

Odin's expression changed slightly, and he coldly shouted back, "The appearance of these peerless fierce beasts itself represents that your rule is extremely ridiculous and does not represent the future of the world."

"I am truly saddened that you are no longer willing to call me big brother!" Compared to the gigantic Odin, Thor, riding a 'small horse' with a mere six-meter height, looked so small!

"Put away your hypocrisy! Thor! [Fate] has already told me—I should be the only orthodox God-King of the Ginnungagap world, you are just a usurper!"

Thor was prepared.

Since you're talking about my domain, then we have to have a good chat.

Thor laughed loudly and said, "Interesting! Even the mysteries of fate that even the Goddess of Fate dare not reveal have been taken by you as so-called irrefutable evidence. Then I wonder if [Fate] has told you that using the power of chaos like this will lead the world to destruction? Or rather, foolish brother! Do you want the gods and all things to become like your ugly appearance?"

Ugly?

When Thor said this, not to mention the bystanders, even Odin himself didn't react until Thor suddenly snapped his fingers.

"Snap!"

Because of his single eye, Odin would often cover the eye socket where he lost his eye with a black eye patch.

At this moment, the piece of animal skin that Odin used to wrap his eye socket was blown open.

For a God-King who controls the [Sky] divine authority, this is at most a small trick.

No one expected that Thor's move would produce miraculous results.

When the eye patch was blown off, what appeared in the eyes of the gods and giants was not an empty eye socket. If there was nothing inside, or only a huge scar, it wouldn't make them feel surprised.

The bad thing was that there were eyes inside, and not just one, but six large and one small, a total of seven eyes, like a cluster of arrows, all squeezed into one eye socket.

When the large and small eyes suddenly touched the light and began to observe the outside world on their own, turning in different directions, all the Aesir gods who saw this scene were so angry that they burst into curses.

"Disgusting! Really f**king disgusting!"

"Does Odin want to turn us all into monsters like him?"

"Is this the power of chaos? Rather than become like this, I'd rather die!"

Thor didn't know if Odin still had the idea of snatching the goddesses of Asgard to fill his harem, but at least in this way, Odin would lose all his goddess affinity!

At the moment when the eye patch was blown off, Odin was still flustered and covered it up when he just reacted. As his good son, the dark god Hodr, who was born blind, suddenly tore off his eye patch, revealing a total of four eyes, one large and three small, in a physical sense, Odin stopped pretending!

He raised his hands frantically: "It is you who are stupid! Thor! You don't understand the greatness of chaos at all—all existence in Ginnungagap should actively embrace chaos!"

Odin didn't know that at the moment he said this, the will of the world was furious!

I can't hold on anymore, I have a little cold. I'm going to sleep first, and I'll get the next chapter out by noon tomorrow.
