[Comprehensive] The Wizard and the Fugitive
Chapter 24 Old Classmate
The car goes all the way south along the west coast, enters Hordaland County, and finally arrives at Bergen, the largest city in western Norway. This colorful city is just on the steep fjord line on the west coast, leaning on the harbor and seven hills, and the vast Atlantic Ocean is just out from the pier.
William drove through half of the city all the way to the north behind an old house from the Hanseatic League era, and parked directly on a slightly sloping hillside.Draco got out of the car and looked into the distance. Passing through this small group of ancient buildings, he could see the modern Muggle shopping street that he just passed by.
"This place used to belong to my father, but now it belongs to me." William walked around the front of the car, found an old key under the door mat, opened the door, and explained, "No one in the Schiller family knows this place."
The completed mid-century wooden structure is preserved in the house, and there is no trace of the 21st century. There is no sofa or TV in the living room. There are a few comfortable high-back chairs by the fireplace, covered with soft red squirrel skin. Even the chandeliers are in the style of candles.
William opened the window to let the warm air from the street blow in, drive away the coldness that had been left alone for a long time, and took Draco upstairs to change the dress he was still wearing.
The upstairs is still in medieval style, with a huge four-poster bed in the middle of the bedroom, and a whole white bearskin on the floor. Draco opened the mahogany wardrobe, but found that it was full of the simplest and most comfortable Muggle T-shirts.
William had already unbuttoned his shirt, his bow tie was casually hanging around his neck, and his leather shoes with grass clippings were kicked casually to the corner, leaning against the bedpost and watching Draco pick and choose among a pile of cotton T-shirts of similar styles. He smiled, pulled the boy over, took off his cuff buttons, helped him take off his shirt, and put on a short-sleeved shirt for him: "Relax, just treat yourself as an ordinary Muggle."
The clothes were obviously too big for Draco. William used the shrinking spell to deal with it briefly, and found him a pair of shorts and a pair of sandals with the simplest style. When the two went out, they were no different from the Muggles coming and going on the street.
They passed through the Hanseatic League area, and entered a narrow alley at the third turn. William looked left and right, and after making sure that no one was there, he pushed open a broken iron gate marked "Employee Passage" and faced Draco. He made a gesture of invitation: "Go in and have a look."
Draco raised his eyebrows and stepped into the darkened door. After standing inside with both feet, the darkness in front of him slowly faded, and he found that he was actually standing at the entrance of a wizarding street.
Unlike Diagon Alley in the UK, it looks no different from a Muggle street. There are magically modified cars running on the road, and most wizards wear simple Muggle clothes. Not many real Muggles get confused.
William put his arms around him and walked up the cobbled sidewalk: "This is Bergen Street, I guess the wizards who watch the game should come here first. The best wizard hotels in Norway are here, of course, there are Best wizarding restaurant ever.”
They walked through the bustling middle street, and the shops on both sides basically used Muggle-style floor-to-ceiling glass walls, allowing people to see the inside at a glance.Draco casually looked at the passing shops, and stopped abruptly in front of the window of a lady's tailor shop.
There were not many customers in the shop, a young couple was picking out coats, Draco looked at them and almost cried out in the street.William followed him and stopped, and looked into the store, and immediately locked the reason for Draco's gaffe. The Slytherin temperament in those two young people was too obvious.
Maybe it was because the sight from the street was too strong, the young husband turned his head vigilantly, but he was also stunned on the spot like Draco.
"Brace?" The wife next to him tugged at her husband, but without getting a response, she followed his gaze and almost screamed, "Merlin! Draco! That's Draco!"
Blaise suddenly came back to his senses, and before he could react, he was dragged out of the store by Pansy, rushed to Draco, and then watched as his wife threw herself into the arms of his old friend.
The sudden hug made Draco raise his hands reflexively, William raised his eyebrows, and deliberately coughed beside him, only then did the two rushing people notice that Draco was not alone.
"Sorry, sir." Blaise quickly swept William up and down, raised his chin, and said politely and indifferently: "I hope I didn't disturb you. We haven't seen Draco for a long time, so it's a bit out of control .”
It was the Slytherin kid's haughty assessing look again, exactly the same as Draco's first day with him.William smiled, gently expressing that he didn't mind the young man's vivaciousness, and said to Draco that he had to go to the restaurant to reserve a table first, so that the three of their old classmates could catch up first.Draco readily agreed, watching William Apparate away.
Their casual way of getting along made Blaise more relaxed, and Pansy didn't care that there was someone here just now, and asked eagerly about Draco's situation: "Why are you here? I heard that the British magic world has been closed. All exit channels."
Draco shrugged, "I came here by plane."
Muggle plane?Pansy and Blaise felt shocked at the same time, could Malfoy accept Muggle traffic? They looked at Draco in surprise, only then did they notice that he was wearing a simple Muggle T-shirt and denim shorts, and sandals of popular style on his feet, indistinguishable from the Muggles on Bergen Street.
"Do you remember what we said when we met for the last time?" Brace quietly put his right hand into the pocket containing the wand, and asked casually.
Draco rolled his eyes: "Your address in France, you still let me be your secret keeper. Don't worry, no one gets my hair..." He thought of a detective on Baker Street, and added with a sigh Said: "At least the wizard doesn't."
The three of them walked towards the restaurant side by side, Blaise still couldn't believe it and glanced at him from time to time, before saying, "You've changed a bit."
Draco had no choice but to say, "I didn't expect either..." He thought about his choice of words, and finally chose an ambiguous statement: "Actually, Muggles, it's quite interesting."
Blaise and Pansy didn't object. They had seen a lot of Muggle skills during their escape, and they were no longer the two arrogant and naive young Slytherin young ladies, but because of their long-term persistence on Muggle issues Couldn't say a word of approval, could only be silent.
"Who was that man just now?" Pan Xi changed the topic and asked, and the three of them stopped at the door of the restaurant: "What shall we call him later?"
"He's my fiancé, Wei..."
"What!" Before Draco could say the second half of his sentence, Pansy interrupted loudly: "He looks like a Hufflepuff! You must be looking for a controlled European wizard asylum, You just made a marriage contract with him, right?"
Draco remembered the lukewarm attitude of the two friends in front of William, and Blaise's undisguised scrutiny, and a strange smile appeared on his face: "What if I said that I was very serious about getting engaged to him? "
Blaise rolled his eyes: "Whatever you want, what's his last name?"
"Schiller."
"Okay, Schiller." A moment later, Blaise stopped and raised his eyebrows: "A Schiller? What's his name?"
Draco blinked, and lightly spit out the name that wizards are familiar with, and it is destined to appear in the annals of dark wizards a hundred years later: "William Schiller."
