[CM] THE CASE

Chapter 15

Trust is the key to open the heart, and sincerity is the bridge to the soul. ——Anonymous

Griffith finished explaining about the inspection, and left the morgue with Reid.Just after noon, the temperature has not yet dropped, and the moisture from the earth seems to have been evaporated into the air, like a huge steamer, extremely hot. Griffith unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled them up to his elbows. Reid took a breath, trying to drive away the rancid smell. Now, Reid feels like his clothes are going to have that smell, which is a disaster.

Griffith tugged at the collar with his left hand, turned to Reid and asked, "Do we have lunch?"

"Yes." Reid didn't sound very sure, "Maybe, a sandwich?"

"…well, that's better than nothing." Griffith tugged at his clothes again. He looked really hot, his back was wet with sweat, his clothes were sticking to his skin. Reid stood behind him on the left, only glanced behind him, and didn't dare to look in his direction anymore.

Griffith was wearing a white, blue shirt with fine stripes. Reid knew that Griffith liked vertical stripes because he would wear them four days a week, seven days a week.In private, Garcia secretly discussed with Jareau, and the girls agreed that Griffith was suitable for that kind of dress, making him more refined.

But Reid was afraid to look at Griffith, not because of the shirt, but because of the skin that was showing under the shirt.

Reid knew that Morgan was full of muscles, and probably everyone in the FBI knew this, because Morgan liked to wear tight T-shirts and always rolled up the sleeves to show his thick arms.He also knew that Hotch and Gideon had muscles too, they were good fighters after all.Suffice it to say, before Griffith came, Reid was the only male agent on the Behavioral Analysis team without muscle, which frustrates him for a while.

But of course, Griffith didn't have muscles either. He used to be a forensic doctor, and the bureau's physical requirements for forensic doctors were not very high. He's thin, but not quite the malnourished thinness of Reid. Although Griffith is thin, he looks very well-proportioned, just the right kind of thin.Fat evenly wrapped his bones, showing a curve between fortitude and gentleness.

Unaware of Reid's strangeness, Griffith was still walking in front of him.Driving in such weather is another sweltering nightmare.Fortunately, Grayson is not big, and the police station is not far away, so they don't have to spend much time.

Along the way, Gideon's suggestion kept ringing in Reid's mind. His mentor called him into his office yesterday and had a good discussion with him about his diplomatic ability. Reid remembered Gideon's creased brows, and his indistinct concern: "Reid, you might consider talking to Griffith more. You're not good at dealing with people, maybe you can help each other out."

Reid immediately thought of Griffith listening to him talk about Chinese history. He had never seen such a focused expression, whether it was Gideon who loved him the most or the students who listened to his lectures, no one had listened to him seriously.Reid felt a sense of satisfaction as those large black eyes focused on him. That was something he had rarely experienced.

Reid guessed that he'd be happy to chat with Griffith if Gideon didn't suggest it.

Now, the question is what to talk about.

Reid remembered that Morgan and himself complained that Griffith hardly raised the topic, and it seemed that he had to rely on himself if he wanted to chat.

"Uh...you look hot," Reid said suddenly.

Griffith was still thinking about the case, startled by Reid's sudden voice. Reid saw a shudder in his shoulders.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" Griffith looked up at Reid. "I was just thinking about the case."

"So, what did you think of?" Reid decided to change the subject - the one just now sounded a little silly.

"Nothing, so few clues." Griffith kicked a stone away from the road. "Gideon just messaged us that Morgan found the victim's clothing in a tree."

"It's not at home," Reid pointed out. "He may have people living with him, and he may not have complete privacy."

Griffith nodded in agreement.

This encouraged Reid, and the little doctor asked a little excitedly: "Is there any news from Hotch?"

"No. JJ just reassured the family, at least quieter."

"Uh, we need to do it as soon as possible." Reid reminded, "If the dumping point is found and the clothes are found, the unknown person will be very anxious, and it may speed up the speed of killing."

"His technique is so fast that only 15 milliliters of air is enough."

"Lightning strike. He didn't enjoy the victim's death, and the body was intact."

"There is no souvenir, or is the body a souvenir?"

"Then he should hide the body in a place where he feels safe...or, he thinks the forest is safe?"

Griffith shrugged, saying he had no clue. "However, we have increased the vigilance in the town. It will be difficult for him to strike, and he may show his feet." Griffith said.

"We still have a clue." Reid said, "I can deduce the unknown person's height from the length of the stick and the height of the tree, but I have to go to the scene to see."

"Okay, you go talk to Hotch, but I'm really hungry." Griffith brushed the hair on his forehead, "We're here."

Ten meters away is Grayson's police station.

Greenaway closed the door and exchanged a glance with Jareau outside the door. Jareau patted her on the shoulder with one hand and passed her a cup of coffee with the other.

"Although not as good as BAU's, it's not bad." Jareau winked at her.

"Thanks, JJ." Greenaway took the coffee, but didn't drink it. "What did you gain from the Carters?"

Jareau shook his head: "Unfortunately, no. The Carters found out that their daughter was missing because she didn't come home on time, and they didn't know where she went. What about Johnson?"

Greenaway watched the trembling man and the crying woman in his arms through the glass of the door. Those sorrows and fears seemed to pass through the thin glass, screaming at her like bullets, but exhaustion bound Greenaway tightly, and there was no way for her to escape.

"I didn't ask anything. I think we should go to their room to see if there is any connection." Greenaway said, "Mrs. Johnson can't calm down. I can only ask Mr. Johnson to calm her down first."

"Let me try it," Jareau suggested. Her hand didn't leave Greenaway's shoulder, and she squeezed it hard. "You look tired, you should take a break. Let me do it, how about you go and read the data with Hotch?"

Greenaway didn't say no.She knew that she was not in the right state, and now was not the time to be brave. Besides, Jareau was better at dealing with the families of victims. So she nodded: "Then please, thank you."

"You're welcome. Go shopping together after you get back? I saw a pretty dress last time."

"It may take a little longer," Greenaway replied with a smile. "The weather forecast says it will rain recently, and I don't want to go out on a rainy day. Oh, thank you again for the invitation and the coffee." After finishing speaking, she raised the cup in her hand Coffee gestures.

"You're welcome, my friend!" Jateau smiled at her, and quickly calmed down. She calmed herself down, grasped the appropriate expression and emotion, and turned the doorknob.

Greenaway swirled his coffee and turned just in time to see Griffith and Reid coming in.Her eyes lit up, and she walked forward quickly.

"Handsome guys, what do you gain?"

Griffith looked at the woman in front of him, and was at a loss for words: "Hi, Elle."

"Hi." Greenaway put the coffee in Griffith's hand, "Thank you, Griffith, tired of taking Reid out?"

"Hey!" Reid protested, "You can't say that!"

"Yeah, I guess Morgan must have a deep understanding." Greenaway giggled, "So, what about the harvest?"

"I'm guessing the unknown was sedated, but they didn't do a drug test so I can't be sure," Griffith said quickly. "Also, thanks for the coffee, but I don't drink coffee."

"Oh, that's such a shame." Greenaway lamented, "Give it to Reid then. Tell me what you like next time, Griffith." She blinked, just as naughty as Jareau cute.

The author has something to say: As for whether it is 15ml or not, in fact, some people on Baidu say it is 50 and some say it is 15, but no matter what, it is okay to have 2-3ml of air during infusion.Happy Labor Day~^O^/
