[HP] The Last Demon King
Chapter 29 Cracks
A few days after school started, Malfoy called her to the lake outside the castle. At this moment, there was a whistling snowstorm outside, and even the lake was frozen, and the big octopus was even missing. Fou called her here for nothing, until he pulled out from under his robes a gift box tied with a green ribbon: "Happy birthday to you, Eredins."
Not long after the start of school, Malfoy asked her when her birthday was once during dinner. She thought he was just asking casually, but she didn't expect that he really remembered it, let alone that she would receive his Gift.
Eridings hesitated for a moment before reaching out to take it. The box was light, but Eridings felt heavy in her heart. She stared at the box for a while, then looked up at Malfoy: "My birthday present? "
Malfoy had thought that Eridins would be delighted to receive his gift, but after actually seeing her reaction, he wasn't so sure.
"Yeah, don't you want to take it apart and have a look?" He observed Eridins' expression and said tentatively.
When Eridins opened the box, she found that it was a small piece of amber, and what was special was that there were three or four blooming blue-eyed chrysanthemums in this piece of amber.
"I did it myself." Malfoy said proudly.
Aridins could not tell what mood she was in.
Malfoy hadn't seen her speak for a long time, and frowned: "...you don't like it?"
"This is the first time I've received a birthday present." Eridins finally looked at him, and lined up a sentence.
Malfoy opened his eyes wide: "Are you kidding me?"
Eridins looked down at the amber in her hand again, and Malfoy asked, "Are you serious? This is the first time you've received a birthday present?"
Eridins nodded, Malfoy's face looking like she was saying she had troll blood.
"Not once?" Malfoy asked again in disbelief, and this time Eridins didn't answer him.
The cold wind made her face hurt, and Eridins wrote: "Go back."
The two of them remained silent on the way back, until they walked down the cellar, and Malfoy suddenly grabbed her. He stood on the steps two steps above Eridings. See his experience.
Malfoy's expression was serious: "Don't worry, I will give you a birthday present every year in the future - Malfoy's promise will never change."
Aridins didn't believe it, but for some reason she couldn't control the corners of her mouth.
Malfoy's hand slid down, took her hand, hesitated for a moment, his face slowly came close, Eridins couldn't understand what he was going to do for a moment, suddenly there was a sound of footsteps on the stairs, Malfoy immediately Like an electric shock, she shook off Eridins' hand.
Eridins was unsteady for a moment, and then she saw Malfoy's panicked face gradually receding... No, it wasn't him, but she was receding?
Her back hit something sharp, and Eridins felt a piercing pain. She could feel herself rolling down the stairs, and finally her head hit the ground hard. Phew, she could see a blurry figure rushing towards her. She tried to open her eyes, but her eyelids slowly dropped in disobedience, and finally lost consciousness.
When Eridins woke up, she found herself in a strange place. It took her a while to realize that this was the school hospital.
She tried to get up by herself, but she was already breaking out in a cold sweat just sitting up, her whole body was in pain, and her head seemed to be torn apart.
Eridins reached out her hand to touch her head, and found several bandages wrapped around her head.
She was about to get out of bed when she suddenly heard a voice: "Oh—child, you can't get out of bed yet!" Pomfrey hurried over, put the medicine on the bedside table, and immediately supported Eredine Ruth sat back, and she turned the pillow up so that she could lie more comfortably.
"Your arm and lower leg are broken, it's nothing, I'll fix it in a second, but the injury on your head needs to be observed—in case of a concussion or something." Pomfrey said ramblingly: " You have to spend the night here tonight."
She still seemed to want to pull the quilt up to Eridings's face, and Eridings wanted to say goodbye, but she found that the wand was not with her, so all she could do was to get her face out from under the thick quilt to breathe.
Pomfrey handed her the bottle of potion, as if he wanted to watch her drink it down: "Drink it, your head sent it."
Aridins drank the stinky potion, and Pomfrey shoved a peeled candy into her mouth with lightning speed.
"I have to send a message to a ghost. He told me to notify him when you wake up--I didn't say, what is more important than letting a sick person rest?" She complained and went out.
Eridings pulled down the quilt a bit, and after a while, Pomfrey came back again, and she walked to Eridings' bed, and pulled back the quilt conveniently.
She was still holding a bunch of things in her hand, most of which were candies or gadgets, and she put them all on Eridins' bedside table, overlapping: "You have so many admirers, they all asked me to pass them on." Yes." She winked at Eridins.
After Pomfrey walked away, Eridins closed her eyes feeling a little tired, and after a while, she noticed someone approaching her, and she immediately opened her eyes.
"Awake?" Snape was condescending, with a cold mockery on his face.
"Tell me, what's going on." He sat on the single chair beside the bed, and threw the magic wand under the candy on the bedside table to Eridins, with contempt in his eyes: "I accidentally fell down the stairs It's the kind of stupid Longbottom would do."
Eridins paused for a moment, then looked straight at him without wavering and said, "Yes, it was because I didn't stand firmly for a moment."
Snape looked disgusted: "This is unexpected...it turns out that your cerebellum is not as developed as your brain." Now that the matter was clarified, or since Eredins decided to let the matter be like this, he didn't delay any longer, and shook off. He left in his robe.
After being tossed by Pomfrey again and pouring several bottles of different potions, the sky outside the window had already darkened.
"Have dinner, child." Pomfrey came over with her dinner, the same one she ate in the auditorium.
Eridins was eating while looking at the snow falling outside the window, when she suddenly heard footsteps: "Madam, I'm here to see my friend."
When Malfoy turned the white bed curtain that was blocking it and saw Eredines awake on the bed, he immediately expressed surprise: "Are you awake?"
Everyone likes to ask the obvious.
"How are you, are you alright?" His gaze paused for a moment on the bandage wrapped around Eridins's head and then moved away: "I was terrified when you fell, do you still hurt?"
Eridins shook her head, and he said again: "I brought the big head, I'm worried that you will be scared alone at night."
The big head was taken out of his robe pocket by him, pitifully, it was not like a master-servant reunion but more like a master-servant parting, a good actor would use his own advantages, and the big head rushed forward with this sadness: "Master -"
The big head bounced off Eridins before it could land on her body.
Malfoy sat on the single chair and looked at Eridins hesitantly: "You're not angry, are you? I was careless at that time."
"Not angry."
Malfoy breathed a sigh of relief: "I heard that you will live here tonight, do you want me to bring you something?"
Eridins shook her head as she ate.
Malfoy sat for a long time, and talked a lot with her, until Pomfrey came to urge him to leave.
Before he left, he left the piece of amber that he had given as a birthday present beside Eridins' pillow, and winked at her.
Eridins smiled at him, and Malfoy left satisfied.
After he left, Eridins cleaned the touched hand with a cleansing spell, as if she felt that this was not enough, she frowned and got up from the bed, went to the sink and put both hands on the cold water. The water flowed down, until she slowly lost the feeling of her hands, she took out her hands that were red with cold with satisfaction.
Sitting back on the bed, Eridins picked up the exquisite piece of amber. The moonlight outside the window shone on the amber, and one could see the blue-eyed chrysanthemum blooming beautifully.
She tossed it back to the pillow casually.
Malfoy hadn't meant to let her fall, and Eridins knew that, but somehow she just felt shivering, her mind always thinking of him shaking her hand off without hesitation.
Such a person who can make her fall down the stairs because of other people's eyes may kill her next time because of other people's eyes.
