George Westin was hanging from a tall pine tree, holding the trunk tightly with both hands to prevent himself from falling.

"Actually, I'm not that good at climbing trees..." he muttered, "Okay, let me see what I can pick." He reached out and picked a pine cone, looked at it, "Empty?"

Then throw it away.

Pick another one. "It's empty again!"

Pick again. "Still empty..."

So, the next step is an infinite loop of "pick-throw-pick-throw".

After the nth throw, George turns back and asks someone under the tree. "How many are not empty at present?"

"Um... one." George rolled his eyes.

"Oh, no, that one was caught by the squirrel...so, 0."
