HP When Harry is a Genius
Chapter 97
"Oh, that's not bad," said Ginny haughtily, stepping out of the way of the corridor.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked down the hallway to the "Malfoy Family Only" manager's coach.
Harry stopped as he passed a carriage with its door ajar.
There was only one person in this carriage, sitting by the window, sound asleep. The Hogwarts Express was usually for students, who had never seen an adult here, except for the witch who was pushing the food cart for them.
The stranger wore a very worn wizard robe, patched in several places. He looked sick and tired. He looked quite young, but his light brown hair was streaked with gray.
"What's the matter, Harry?" Ron asked quietly.
"I know this man. Let's sit down in this carriage," Harry said to Ron and Hermione behind him.
They went into the car and sat down, closing the door behind them.
"Who is he?" Ron asked.
"Professor R.J. Lupin," Hermione whispered immediately.
"How do you know?" Ron asked strangely.
"It's written on his suitcase," Hermione replied, pointing to the luggage rack above the man's head, where there was a battered little suitcase tied with lots of string and neatly knotted. 【R. J.Professor Lupine] These words are printed on the corner of the box, and the letters have peeled off.
"Wonder what he taught?" said Ron, frowning at Professor Lupine's lifeless profile.
"Obviously," whispered Hermione, "there's only one empty seat, right? Defense Against the Dark Arts."
Harry, Ron and Hermione already had two teachers who taught the subject, both of whom had only been teaching for a year.
Rumor has it that the job is doomed.Harry even wondered if someone had put a curse on the job.
"Well, I hope he's up to it," said Ron dubiously, "but it looks like a magic spell will finish him off, doesn't he look like that?"
"Where's the noise coming from?" said Hermione suddenly. There was a faint whistle somewhere, and they looked around the car.
"It came out of your case, Harry," said Ron, getting up to get the case from the luggage rack.
Something ginger-yellow popped out of the wicker basket and slapped Ron in the face. It was Crookshanks.
Ron was furious: "Harry, this cat of yours definitely has a grudge against me!"
"Oh, I guess, it's protecting its friends. You know, I put those two little green snakes in the box." Harry looked approvingly at the ginger pancake-faced Crookshanks.
"Cats and snakes can still be friends?!" Ron was very surprised.
"The friendship between animals is always incredible. You see, my Hydra likes your mouse very much." Harry pointed to Ron's chest pocket, where the little black snake was still wrapped around his unconscious body. spotted.
"It regards Scabbers as its own reserve food!" Ron said weakly, he felt that all of Harry's new pets had enmity with him.He sat down again, endured the slippery and disgusting touch of the snake, and took Banban, who was entwined by Hydra, out of his pocket.
"Shh - let's keep it quiet," said Hermione, "or it's time to wake him up." She nodded in Professor Lupine's direction.
Harry's box was also quiet now.
"I hope there won't be any more magical creature shops in Hogsmeade," said Ron, trying to separate Hydra from Scabbers, but was afraid that Hydra's fangs would bite him. "I'm so scared huh?" What kind of new pet will Leigh buy again?"
"Do you know anything about Hogsmeade?" Hermione asked sharply. "I've read that it's the only place in England that doesn't have Muggles."
"Yeah, I've heard something about the village," said Ron nonchalantly, "but that's not why I want to go. I just want to go to Honeydukes!"
"What's that?" Hermione asked.
"It's a candy store," said Ron, with a dreamy look on his face. "It's got everything there. Pepper urchin, it makes your mouth smoke. And greasy chocolate balls, full of strawberry custard and regular custard. And really wonderful sugar quills, You can suck in class and it looks like you're thinking about what to write next—"
"Hogsmeade is an interesting place, isn't it?" Hermione pressed eagerly. "The Book of Wizarding Monuments says that inn was the headquarters of the Goblin Rebellion in [-], and that the Shrieking Shack is probably the most haunted house in all of England."
"—huge popsicle balls that levitate you inches off the ground when you suck on them," said Ron, not listening to a word Hermione said, lost in his thoughts about Honeydukes.
"Speaking of which, Dudley asked me to bring you a lot of Muggle snacks, and I'll bring them to you when I get to the dormitory. He said he liked the pocket looking glass you gave him," said Harry. "He said he would use it for exams, to alert the invigilator to be there."
Hermione frowned when she heard the words, but Ron's eyes lit up: "Oh, Dudley Dursley! He's so smart, and he's a great guy!"
Hermione looked at Harry: "It would be nice to leave school for a while and explore Hogsmeade, wouldn't it?"
"I think so," said Harry cheerfully. "We can go and see it together at the weekend."
The Hogwarts Express was heading steadily north, and the scenery outside the window was getting wilder and darker, while the clouds overhead were getting thicker.Outside the door of their carriage, there were people walking back and forth non-stop.
Crookshanks was now securely seated in an empty seat, his squashed face turned to Ron, his yellow eyes fixed on Ron's bulging pockets.
"Why, this is the black snake catching mice, and the yellow cat is behind?" Ron said sarcastically.
Not long after, Draco came to Harry with Goyle and Crabbe.
"You found the rear of the car from the front?" Harry's eyes sparkled.
"Stop being sentimental, Scarhead!" Draco said angrily, "I just happened to be passing by."
"Why don't you rest in the carriage of Malfoy's house? Crabbe and I have been looking for you for a long time." Goyle complained and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Crabbe tugged on Goyle's sleeve with an idiot-looking expression, and said, "Goyle and I have been looking for it for a long time, and Draco was passing by."
Draco glared at the two Slytherin idiots.
"Remus Lupine is an acquaintance of my parents. I want to talk to him when he wakes up." Harry pointed to the sleeping man and said with a smile.
"You can take the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor with you to Malfoy's compartment." Draco said, glancing at Lupine's suitcase.
"He's a werewolf, you won't like him. You keep it a secret," Harry whispered into Draco's ear.
Draco's ears immediately turned red for no reason, and he glanced at Lupine with disgust, and then gave Ron and Hermione a hard look, making them very bewildered. Then he walked away arrogantly.
"What did you say to him?" Ron looked at Draco's back strangely.
"Secret." Harry said with a smile, and he didn't know why Draco was staring at Ron and Hermione.
The train continued north, and the rain was getting heavier. The window panes were now a dense, sticky gray that gradually deepened until the lights in the hallway and on the luggage racks came on.
The train was shaking, the rain was beating on the windows, the wind was howling, but Professor Lupine was still asleep.
Draco came again, taking Goyle and Crabbe, and their luggage, into the small compartment together.
"Why, you gave up the Malfoy family car again for Harry?" Ron teased in a strange tone.
"What's none of your business?" Draco said dissatisfied, and then he calmly took out the study notes he made in Northern Europe during the summer vacation to review. Hermione was immediately attracted to her, and she sat next to Draco, eagerly watching With Draco's notes.
"These are all black magic, Granger, are you sure you want to read?" Draco sarcastically spread out the notes in his hand in front of Hermione.
"I'll just take a look, I didn't study it." Hermione stammered, still staring at Draco's notes curiously.
"Two study lunatics." Ron curled his lips in disgust, and then he suddenly turned to Harry who was equally curious: "Oh, and you! There are three." He patted Goyle and Crabbe on the shoulders: "Dude, we're the only ones who are normal."
But Goyle and Crabbe just ate their snacks and ignored Ron.
The train is getting slower and slower. The sound of the wheels became quieter, and the sound of the wind and rain outside the window became louder. In the end, you couldn't tell that the wheels were still moving. In each carriage beside the corridor, there were people poking their heads out to look around.
Suddenly, the train stopped, and a banging sound came from the distance, indicating that the luggage dropped from the shelf. Then, all the lights went out suddenly, and they were plunged into complete darkness.
"What's the matter?" Ron's voice came from behind Harry.
"Ouch!" gasped Hermione, "Ron, that's my foot!"
"Is the train broken?" Draco asked.
"I don't know," said Harry.
There was a short squeaking sound, and Harry saw Ron's indistinct black outline.Ron wiped a clean spot on the windowpane and was looking out. "There's something moving in there," said Ron, "I guess people are going out."
The door of the carriage flew open, and someone fell painfully onto Harry's lap.
"I'm sorry! Do you know what happened?" the man said, "Ouch! I'm sorry, I just went to the wrong car, stop pinching, Ouch!" He cried out in pain.
"Hello, Neville," Harry said, pulling Neville up in the dark, feeling for his coat.
"Harry? Is that you? What happened? Who pinched me just now?" said Neville.
"Me! And Crabbe and Goyle, what, you have a problem?" Draco said.
"No, I have no objection." Neville said dully in the dark.
There was a loud hiss and a cry of pain as Neville was on top of Crookshanks.
Crookshanks crawled into Hermione's arms in fright.Harry swore he saw Crookshanks taking the opportunity to rub Hermione's chest.
"I'm going to ask the driver what's going on!" Hermione stood up holding Crookshanks.
