Wild child

Chapter 84 Afterword

From the second year of high school to the sophomore year, the writing of "Wild Child" took nearly three years from the manuscript to the completion of the electronic manuscript, and there were two suspensions of several months in the middle, but I finally fulfilled my promise and did not cheat. To this day, I still remember the energy I had when I first started scribbling manuscripts on my homework book. I was writing madly during class breaks and evening self-study. Every night I felt like my right middle finger was about to break off.In the summer vacation after the college entrance examination, I hardly practiced any of my previous ambitions about traveling in mountains and rivers. Every day, I was in front of the computer and coded from morning to night. That was almost the period of time when I was most passionate about writing. The word count of the original manuscript was about 15 words. When it was finished, the Jinjiang system displayed 512032 words. When I typed the words "full text finished", I felt a little emotional, as if I had finally graduated.

I have been in the HP circle for several years and I have also written some fan works. Since I was determined not to finish "Wild Child" before opening new pits, it became the only novel among them.Writing a long novel is a wonderful experience. In addition to the sense of responsibility and continuous writing, the result of a longer front is that you will inevitably be affected by different works in the middle. Looking back at the old articles, you can see what novels you read when you wrote a certain paragraph. What kind of song is it, like reading the epitome of past life. This article has also witnessed the changes in my writing. When I reread it, I often feel that it is quite immature, redundant and embarrassing, but there is no lack of surprises of "Why did I have such a brain hole back then".During the latest renovation, I thought about rebuilding it, but later decided to keep it as it was, as a commemoration and testimony. However, I will probably still remember it, and maybe I will change my mind if my writing level can really make a breakthrough in the future, but most of the works I write at that time will be other works. To quote a sentence in the text is "after all, life is a one-way street", and there is only a short period of time to write "Wild Child".It's a work that has most of my desires and loves and dislikes, and I love it even if it's immature.

Let’s talk about the work itself, just like many new writers in the HP circle, the first half is unsurprisingly a child’s school work, and the reference to other works is extremely obvious, such as the original story about Tom in the orphanage.Although this has something to do with people, it is mainly due to the lack of life experience and the lack of basic understanding of certain fields and people. This has always been prominent, causing many important plots to be skipped. The part after the timeline into the Hallows is a bit more freely written, but the plot is still weak, and the focus is all on the Fanny and Sirius gag (not that I don't like writing this). Moreover, due to several changes in the writing plan, most of the foreshadowing planted before were not used at all, such as the camera that Dumbledore gave Fanny and the emotional line between Parvati and the horses, which would have played a key role.

This article has three predetermined endings. Many years after the end of the first draft, Fanny and Sirius established a relationship similar to lovers. In the process of editing the electronic manuscript, I considered ending with the wedding of Fanny and Draco after the war. , but in the end it returned to the initial expectation, leaving Fanny alone. It can almost be said that I started writing for this ending. When it comes to "wild children", the most associated is probably fighting, scolding, being dirty and uneducated, but what I really want to write is a state that can overcome all fears and wishes and follow the heart.Even when she was trying her best to change herself and study etiquette arts for Draco, Fanny was still the same person, and she could give up everything she was about to get at the next moment if necessary.

The whole article is equivalent to the growth history of Fanny, and maybe there is no need to write it to the end, but the phrase "New Journey Begins" has been lingering in my mind for too long.I wrote about her life, and also glimpsed my own growth and dreams from it.

Unavoidably, I still want to talk about the characters in my writing.

First of all, of course, is the heroine Fanny. I hope to give her a character that is both smooth and sincere. The lack of education and a growth environment with proper guidance made it difficult for things like truth and morality to really enter her heart.Compared with others, what is more fundamental about Fanny is her love and respect for life and life. This is where she and Draco initially disagreed. She didn't care if Draco was blood-discriminated or hostile to the academy, but once Draco became the "anti-life" party (such as clamoring for Muggle-borns to die or intentionally kill Buckbeak), she would stand against him without hesitation.During the war, too, she could live with the pressure of deception and conspiracy, but "never come to terms with those who butcher their own kind for even half a second".Fanny's choice is actually based on a certain instinctive sense of justice, so she may be capricious and deceitful, but the bottom line she stands on never moves halfway.

My favorite part of the whole article is a passage in chapter 48-"That Christmas Eve night, she climbed to the top of the church again, overlooking the small town. The thin snow covered the weekdays. Dirty and messy, reflecting the lights of thousands of houses in warm colors. Under this holy and peaceful appearance, there are homeless people freezing to death on the street, depraved bars and prostitutes, domestic violence men and helpless women, and thieves , robbers, murderers, there are junkies and drug dealers in the dark, there are kid bosses who have just bullied the weak and come home to pretend to be pure angels, and there are lazy policemen with beer bellies." This is what Fanny said. See, she grew up at the bottom of the town, appreciating the holy and peaceful lights of thousands of families and the filth beneath them equally. We say that truly loving someone means loving all of them, and that's about it.

The original intention of writing this article was for Fanny. Draco was chosen as the hero because of the large gap in identity to create conflicts. Later, I wrote that I felt that there was also an inevitability between the two of them.Generally speaking, Draco's character is a rich man. He has seen the world and is unusually sophisticated in some aspects, but what he knows is a very limited corner of the world, and the part of Fanny's life he can only imagine. not come out.The childish cruelty he committed was more out of ignorance than nature, like a child who yells "I'm going to kill you" every time someone else yells.Ignorance does not mean stupidity, he is just protected too well, and Fanny never has this chance. After the sixth part, Draco is equivalent to being thrown out of the ivory tower and forced to grow up overnight, but growing up is far from such a simple matter. Many details in the original book reflect this contradiction in him. There is no right or wrong or worthy or not in love, he and Fanny are just too different.

Sirius is my favorite character in the original book, and it would be Icandothisallday for me to analyze him.In a nutshell, what I want to write about is probably the kind of "good people" who are extremely unpleasant. "Good people" are not necessarily tolerant, friendly and considerate, they can also be mean, violent and moody.Even if his personality is not easy to get along with, coupled with the torment of a series of terrible incidents in the personal experience column, I have tried my best to write such a middle-aged man as attractive. The ambiguity between him and Fanny is not only the chemical reaction between the lonely man and the widow and the high-pressure environment, but also the mutual attraction in nature. However, neither of them belong to the type that can be stable and entangled. Even if there are no distracting items in the article and they have known each other since they were students, there may not be any results in the end. This kind of relationship with a full sense of CP but a little bit of qualitative change is my personal preference. It has no beginning or end, and it is enough to have a confidant.I always write very smoothly about the occasions when he and Fanny get together, and there is a tacit understanding between them that does not need to look back.

Speaking of Xiaotian, I just want to mention that I originally planned to make Fanny a heterosexual who could understand her and be as young as her, but due to the limitation of writing skills, Mark almost became a cannon fodder male partner who occasionally came out to make soy sauce in the article , I think that too many characters of the same type appearing is not very helpful for an article.

Skeeter is yet another example of my love for "contrasting attributes," as I wish I could have written her as a journalist who dares to speak up without fear of the powerful, but who does everything for her own fame and fortune. She will not compromise with anyone in power, and she doesn't care about morality and justice. The truth is just the material she uses to win the trust of readers. There will be a kind of "unexplainable harmony" between her and Fanny, mutual contempt and mutual admiration.

Astoria is another character I admire in the article. Unfortunately, it was not fully portrayed in this article, and the story of her and Draco was considered a separate article. When I read the article, I really dislike the tendency shown by some authors, as if the ex-girlfriends don’t regret it and don’t look back and chase after it, then they can’t reflect the value of the character, or they don’t bite and let go and abandon other people who treat themselves sincerely. It's not called true love.Love can be unknown, but people can't live by love alone, and people's hearts are really not that small. Having a love that will last until death does not mean that you can no longer love others.Astoria to Draco is by no means a "no chicken or duck" choice, she is a woman who is equally strong, brave and sensitive, and most importantly, they are suitable for each other.

Dumbledore acts as a guide in many aspects of Fanny's life. He is a very difficult character to write. His IQ and experience are much higher than mine, and the character itself is extremely complicated. I hope I didn't write too much. Outrageous. In my opinion, a person like him can't really trust anyone. Trust is a kind of blind thing, and the price of making mistakes in his position is too high. His decisions and arrangements are based on "understanding", knowing what a person can do, and entrusting the corresponding work to him, his "use" of Fanny is also based on this.Putting the big picture first doesn't mean everything else doesn't come from the heart, luckily both he and Fanny know that.

Smith and Mrs. Conwell are a bit like Fanny's link to the "normal world," and they remind Fanny of social things, such as social relationships and acceptance of others.Fanny is an extremely selfish person. They care about her and bear the harm she brings, and are willing to give everything for her. They are Fanny's family members and life-and-death friends, but after the adversity, they will return to their respective life trajectories and drift away from Fanny.

Benjamin, CC, the Field family and other characters will not be detailed one by one. I have designed a complete personality for each character in the article and have considerable emotions, although the writing is limited and I can't control it properly.

Well, I have already said too much, in short, I am very grateful to every reader who accompanied me and Fanny here. Since this work has placed so many emotions, I think I have a heart-to-heart with you.May you all get the happiness you want, and hope that we will meet again by fate.
