[HP] If youth has an ageless face
Chapter 11 10
Mrs. Davies died in her sleep shortly after the Christmas holidays. According to the two brothers and sisters, her funeral was very simple: Uriah carried her coffin to the cemetery alone. They were notified of the bad news by letter.
Although Uriah only briefly mentioned the news of Mrs. Davis' death in two or three sentences in the letter, Edwin La could well imagine how sad he was.Even she couldn't help crying for several nights under the covers in the dead of night, not to mention Uriah who had witnessed her death.
The shadow of Mrs. Davies' death hung over Edwina for some time, until another letter from Uriah in early February brought some light to her.
In this letter, Yulea told her a more positive news: his former teammate Matthew at Hogwarts is now playing for the England Three Lions, and now the team is short of a chaser. The team agent recommended him, and Yulea will have an interview next Wednesday.
As the former captain of the Hufflepuff and Quidditch team, Uriah has been rejected by the major teams for two years due to family reasons. If it wasn't for Matthew Nei's push, this opportunity might not be his turn.Although the England Three Lions team is far from the former Uleaja's dream of entering the Irish national team, this may not be an opportunity.
"What's the matter?" Sylvia watched her for a while, "Is there any good news?"
Edwin La didn't want to make a big deal of it before the dust settled: "It's nothing serious, just a small piece of good news."
"A 'little' piece of good news?" Sylvia repeated, she obviously wanted to keep asking, but Edwin shook his head:
"Don't ask me, it's a secret."
After their sharp quarrel last time, Sylvia seemed to finally realize that Edwin La is not easy to mess with. Coupled with the fact that her pursuit of Regulus has repeatedly hit the wall, her attitude towards Edwin La recently has changed. Some flattery, it can be called obedience.
"Well, you don't want to say it." Sylvia said angrily. After a moment of silence, she couldn't help but leaned forward again, "That... Edwina?"
"what?"
"Is there any way you can... um... introduce me to Greengrass?"
Sure enough, she came back to beg her again.
Edwin pulled a smile to himself: "You think he's not bad again now?"
She didn't hide the sarcasm in her tone, Sylvia's face flushed red: "Don't you know what to ask!"
"I'm glad you've decided to give up climbing Black's high branch, but are you sure you want me to set you up with Greengrass?"
"Why?" Sylvia snorted at this, "Don't tell me that even Greenglass has become picky now."
"I don't know if he's become picky, but let me just say this: I don't think you're going to give up Regulus and Lucius at all, do you?"
Sylvia blinked her eyes twice quickly, and moved her lips uncomfortably: "What are you talking about..."
"Didn't Lucius and Regulus each receive a box of chocolates with a love potion two days ago?" Edwina mentioned an "unsolved case" that happened in Slytherin on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, I happened to see those two boxes of chocolates on someone's bed—hey, don't stare at me. If you want to be unknown, you have to do it yourself. Aren’t there so many loopholes that make people guess that you sent them?”
"I didn't leave a loophole!"
"Then tell me who else in Slytherin is so obsessed with Regulus and Lucius that they want to give chocolates with flavorings?" Edwin squinted at the silent Sylvia , I secretly felt that she was hopeless, "Greengrass is not stupid enough to be willing to be a spare tire for you."
——And your SQ is not high enough to fool him into treating you like a god.
Sylvia muttered something unconvinced, and Edwinra decided not to talk to her, but picked up the newspaper that was delivered in the morning but she hadn't had time to read it.Oddly enough, today's Daily Prophet generously gave its front page headline to one man:
Gilderoy Lockhart.
Edwin raised his eyebrows and carefully read the pompous title again: "Notes from the Adventures of Gilderoy Lockhart: The Last Epic Tale of the Twentieth Century"
"... Gilderoy Lockhart, an internationally renowned adventurer and emerging writer, an honorary member of the European Anti-Dark Arts League, an honorary graduate of Hogwarts, and a recognized 'Ravenclaw' among students during his school days The Light of Light'. After graduation, Mr. Lockhart spent five years traveling alone in Europe and Asia, and personally explored the legendary Romanian vampires, Norwegian forest ghosts and other mysteries that have plagued the magical world for many years. This summer, June 6 , Mr. Lockhart will take the first part of his adventure series - "Break with the Ghost" - to Diagon Alley, and tell everyone about his thrilling journey in Northern Europe."
Isn't this the person who was regarded as a treasure by Rookwood before!Edwina suddenly remembered the first draft that Rookwood lent her preciously, but she threw it on the table and ignored it for a summer vacation.Seeing Rookwood's expression, she thought it was some kind of master's masterpiece, but she didn't expect it to be such a flamboyant embroidered pillow!
It can be seen that Luke Wood is just like that.Edwina almost laughed out loud looking at the slogan in the Daily Prophet:
"Do you know a man named Gilderoy Lockhart?"
"Who is that?" Sylvia woke up from her contemplation and looked at her in confusion.Edwin pulled the newspaper over: "Here, let me show you, just for fun."
"Then where are you going?"
"Of course I'm looking for Zabini." Edwin Rah replied confidently, "I don't know a second Ravenclaw student other than him."
