[HP Sirius] Sweet Potions

Chapter 058 Unfair Trial

Ersha couldn't believe that she had actually decided to get married. Not so long ago, she had never thought about it.

After Sirius left, the days seemed to be cast with a slow spell, and each day became extremely long.

Ursa couldn't wait to move in with Sirius. She couldn't help but began to look forward to the day of living with him.

They can bake blueberry pie and pumpkin pie together, and take slow walks along the Thames on weekend evenings. And days like this will last for a long, long time.

The day before the exam, she formally submitted her resignation to Professor Dumbledore.

"I know Hogwarts is understaffed right now...but I decided to leave anyway, I'm really sorry." She said to Dumbledore apologetically.

"Can you tell me why?" said Dumbledore calmly, "Not satisfied with the salary?"

"Oh no, the salary is fine. I just... want a different way of life," she told him.Actually, that's what she thought.

To change her way of life, to find what she really wanted to do, and Sirius was just an important part of it.

"It's okay, I understand." Dumbledore said with a sigh. "Good luck, Miss Green. I appreciate your hard work during this time."

When leaving the office, Ersha glanced back at the old man sitting behind the desk. She suddenly felt that he seemed to be much older than usual. As the headmaster of Hogwarts, he must have taken on a lot of pressure.

"Good luck to you too, Professor Dumbledore," she whispered, and closed the door.

After the exams, Ursa received letters from students, some of which were smuggled in her books.

Some of them were letters of admiration, from boys who had long adored her.Ersha's departure made them finally muster up the courage to confess their love to her.

And others are from students who like her.

"We don't want you to leave." That's the most common line on those letters.

She didn't know how to reply to these letters. She felt extremely guilty, but it couldn't change what she had already decided.

In the middle of the last dinner party of the school year, she suddenly stood up.

Standing under the gaze of hundreds of pairs of eyes, she suddenly remembered the first time she stood in front of them.At that time, she was so nervous that her hair turned red.

But now she wasn't nervous at all.

—Hogwarts changed her.

Many students looked at her, waiting for her to speak. But she suddenly didn't know what she wanted to say.

"I'm leaving Hogwarts." She cleared her throat and said, "It's been a pleasure to be with you this year. I see hope in you. Seeing you, I know no one can beat us .”

...it's almost like a bureaucratic accent.

She doesn't like it.

So she paused and lowered her voice a bit, "...I love you all, thank you."

She sat down.

Sporadic applause rang out, and she realized it was Sirius' friends.

Immediately afterwards, more applause sounded, until the entire hall was flooded with waves of applause.

After leaving Hogwarts, Ursa first visited her mother.

Anna had a good time these days.To Ursa's surprise she found a job in a nearby bar.She thought her mother didn't bother working as a waitress.

"There is a stunner in the bar who often haunts." Anna winked mysteriously at Ersa, "I haven't told her that I am a wizard. I'm afraid of scaring her."

Ersha suddenly felt that her mother's personality was indeed very similar to a certain guy.

That guy was, of course, Sirius Black.

After Ursa told Anna that she might be getting married, Anna screamed, "What? With which guy? Why don't I know?"

"You've seen him." Ursa forced a smile, "...it's Sirius."

"Sirius? Who?" Anna made an expression recalling what happened hundreds of years ago.

"You saw him in the hospital hospital the first time you went to Hogwarts," Ursa said.

Anna frowned and thought for a second, "That student?"

"Yes."

"I knew it!" Anna said with a resentful expression. "I knew that guy was mean to you! Oh! He wants to marry my precious daughter, doesn't he? Let him come and see me."

Ursa conveyed Anna's words to Sirius.

Sirius looked at her in surprise, "Did she really say that?"

"Yes."

Sirius frowned, and suddenly smiled softly, "Okay, I will go to see her." He looked at Ersa, "Don't worry, I will make her wish you could marry me."

Ursa smiled, "That's not for sure."

"Then we'll see." Sirius rolled his eyes.

Ursa may never guess what Sirius told Anna.

They shut themselves in the room, and after a few minutes, Sirius finally came out.

Afterwards, Anna still had a smile on her face.

"I really don't understand how you managed to get her." Ursa said to Sirius on the way back.

"I showed her my Muggle bank balance," Sirius said solemnly.

Erza did not believe his nonsense. She raised her eyebrows and looked at him.

"Well, I'll be honest." Sirius smiled, "I just want her to understand that I really love you from the bottom of my heart."

"and then?"

"And then?" Sirius blinked.

"Of course, you must have done something else."

Sirius sighed dramatically.

"Well, I actually got her the address and phone number of the girl she likes," he said. "James knows people from the Ministry of Magic. It's easy to check a Muggle's background."

"What?" Ursa was surprised.God, it's too easy for Anna to pass this level!

"I quite like your mother," Sirius concluded, "I think we'll hit it off."

"Absolutely," said Ursa sullenly.

Because there is no news of Ersha's father, they finally decided to postpone the wedding for a while.

"Don't worry," Sirius comforted Ursa more than once, "No news is good news."

"If he's really okay, why doesn't the Patronus contact me?" Ursa said worriedly.

Sirius was speechless.

"...we'll find him," he said to Ursa, putting his arm around her shoulders.

Ursa leaned against him, looking out the window at the dim street lamp. She always had a sense of foreboding.

A few days later, she read a piece of news from the newspaper.

"They said they found a body in the Calton Hill woods," she said worriedly. "The body was soaked beyond recognition."

Of course Sirius knew what she was thinking.

He hugged her from behind, comforting her silently.Their hands were tightly held together.

"Could it be him?" Ursa asked hoarsely.

"No. You've already started to think wildly." Sirius whispered in her ear.

Fortunately, the days of fear and fear did not last long. Two days later, they learned from the Daily Prophet that the corpse belonged to a Ministry of Magic official who had been missing for a long time.

Ursa was greatly relieved. Although she knew it was unfair, she was very glad that the person was not her acquaintance.

She still insists on sending messages to her father every day, hoping to get a reply one day.

A week passed.

This evening, she had just finished brewing the latest potion.Stretching into the living room, she saw Sirius talking to a stranger.

It was a guy in a Muggle suit and a bright red tie, and he was recognizably from the Ministry of Magic.

"What happened?" she asked, frowning.

"They said they found your father." Sirius turned around and said softly to Ursa.

His expression made Ersha's heart sink suddenly.

Ursa slammed the door open.

Her father was sitting by the window. After noticing her coming in, he turned his head to look at her.

He was thin-cheeked, sallow, and looked extremely haggard, as if he hadn't slept or eaten in days.

"Daddy," Erza called him hoarsely.

Nelson, Mr. Green, moved his lips, but he said nothing.

He got to his feet and Ursa walked over to him. They hugged each other tightly.

Soon, they separated.

"What the hell happened, Dad?" Ursa asked worriedly.

And Nelson seems reluctant to tell Ersa what happened.

"Where have you been all this time? I sent you many messages..."

"I'm sorry." He gave a forced smile, "I'm sorry for worrying you. The Death Eaters got me, and they made me work for them."

"Oh, my God." Ursa covered her mouth.

"Luckily the Aurors found out where the Death Eaters were hiding and got me out," he said.

At this moment, the door was suddenly pushed open.

"The time has come," said a Ministry official in wizard's robes.

"What?" Erza looked at him suspiciously.

"It's time for me to go to trial," Nelson said quietly.

"Trial? Why?" Ursa was astonished.

Nelson looked at Ursa, as if trying to smile, but he failed.

"Take care of yourself," he said, and followed the man away.

Erza couldn't believe what they were doing to her father.

She'd heard it before, and it was hard to tell now whether someone was forced or willing to work for the Death Eaters. The Aurors had to arrest them all and interrogate them slowly.

But she never imagined that this would happen to her father.

The next day, the results of the trial were sent to Ersha. They decided to sentence Nelson Green to a year in prison.

"They're going to send him to Azkaban!" Ursa's hand holding the letter was shaking slightly, and it was mostly because of anger.

"Their trial was too hasty, something like this always happens recently." Sirius said with a frown.

Ursa hung down the letter and looked at Sirius. Her eyes were red, "I can't watch him go to that kind of place."

But Sirius grabbed her shoulders with a firm expression, as if he had already decided what he wanted to do.

"Don't be afraid, we won't let them succeed," he said softly.
