[HP Sirius] Sweet Potions

Chapter 005 Potion Freak

On the second day, the Potions class in the underground classroom continued as usual.

The courses in the s improvement class are much more difficult than those before the fifth grade, which makes many students feel a little overwhelmed.Today they are going to brew a very effective epilepsy potion, which is a foot long just by the list of materials, not to mention its complicated operation steps.

The students were all staring at the crucible in front of them, and the classroom fell into silence for a while, only the gurgle of the potion in the crucible could be heard.

Ersha paced back and forth in the classroom, her cold gray eyes watching the movements of every student in the class.

She suddenly noticed that a Slytherin boy was about to add the powdered antelope horn without stirring. She stopped quickly, leaned over and grabbed the boy's arm.

"You need to stir it counterclockwise five times," she says, "then clockwise ten times and then let it sit for 15 seconds."

But the boy didn't listen to what she said at all.His eyes were fixed on her slightly opened collar, and a faint blush appeared on his cheeks.

"Please continue." Ersha said calmly. She didn't notice the boy's gaze.

"Uh, what?" The boy raised his head sharply, "Oh—okay."

A blond boy standing not far from him showed jealous eyes, and then called out in a drawn-out tone, "Professor, help me take a look—why is my potion a little strange?"

Ursa stared at the contents of his cauldron. It was not a bright pink like it was described in the book, but a dull pink.

"Your spider eyes haven't been completely smashed." She said, "And—" She walked to the boy, took the knife on the table in front of him, bent slightly and said while demonstrating: "You need to remove the white moss. The skin is patted with the back of a knife in this way, and then cut into oblique sections."

The boy pretended to be attentive, but actually approached Ursa with no purpose. He feigned intimacy with Ersa, then looked up to give his friends a smug smile.

"Okay, that's it," Erza said. She straightened up abruptly, but accidentally bumped into the boy's chin hard.

The boy clutched his chin and moaned loudly.

"Oh, sorry." Erza said a little embarrassed.

"puff."

An uncontrollable chuckle came from not far away.

Ursa looked in the direction of the laughter. She saw Sirius Black burying himself in his moss skin, but the slight upturn of his mouth gave him away.

Probably sensing Ersa's gaze, Sirius suddenly raised his head, only to see Ersa striding towards him.

Sirius couldn't help but stop the hand that was cutting the moss bark.

Ursa stopped in front of Sirius. She frowned and stared at the cauldron in front of Sirius, then suddenly pulled out her wand.

"Clean up," she said. The contents of Sirius' cauldron disappeared without a trace.

"Wow." James exclaimed, a little gloating.

"You only stirred for five minutes after the potion started to thin, didn't you?" Erza frowned.

Of course Sirius knew that it would take a quarter of an hour to stir it, but he lost his patience halfway and decided to muddle things around.

"Well, that seems to be the case. I don't remember," Sirius said.

Ursa's cold gray eyes narrowed slightly, and at the same time said coldly: "Let's start over."

"She's not easy to mess with," James whispered after Ursa turned away, "but is she trying to target you on purpose? Because she didn't clean Wormtail's cauldron—his looks better than yours." Much worse."

Wormtail's potion was taking on a dark green color instead of the normal glitter, and had a tendency to congeal into lumps.

"I think she must hate you, absolutely," James said. "Did something happen in detention yesterday?"

Sirius didn't mention yesterday's incident to his friends. He didn't want them to know at all that he had been tempted to kiss a substitute teacher for a while.

"Nothing happened." He was silent for a moment, then replied casually.

It was really dangerous just now.Erza thought.

Thankfully she stopped Sirius before he joined Mosshide.Because the stirring is insufficient, the highly corrosive potion will soon splash out, which is very dangerous.

She secretly breathed a sigh of relief, and then continued to patrol the classroom seriously.

In the end, only two students in the class managed to brew the epilepsy potion.

"Very good, Miss Evans. Your way of cutting white moss is the most perfect I have ever seen." Ursa said, showing an imperceptible smile at the same time, "Two points for Gryffindor."

The girl named Evans looked happy, her red ponytail swaying slightly on the back of her head. She was the girl who had offered to greet Ursa in class last week.

"And Mr. Snape." Ursa turned to the black-haired boy behind her, hesitated for a moment before continuing, "How did you think that you need to add half a drop of bile?"

"Because I think it will work better." The boy named Snape replied in a low voice. He never looked at Ersha, but looked at the cauldron that had been cleaned in front of him with slightly lowered eyelids.

Ersha frowned and thought for a second, "Hmm, interesting idea. I guess you want to eliminate the side effect of hiccups caused by the potion."

"Yes, that's right," Snape said softly.

"Then what if I add an extra [-] ounce of antelope horn powder?" Ursa murmured, "Maybe it can achieve a similar effect."

"No, I don't think that's good." Snape began to expound his opinion incessantly. His dark eyes no longer stared blankly at the cauldron, but showed a palpable excitement.

"But you forgot to consider that stirring would make it too viscous," retorted Ursa.

"... makes sense, but I think—"

In the end, the class watched in silence as they argued fiercely. In fact, almost no one could understand what they were saying.

"Can we go, Miss Green?" a girl asked cautiously.

Erza didn't answer. She was huddling with Snape, figuring something out on paper.Anxiously eager to prove her point, her hair was slowly turning a brilliant blonde.

"Two freaks." Peter muttered softly, and then tried to dig out the potion that had condensed into a brown lump from his own cauldron and bottle it.The advanced class was too difficult for him, because he barely got an A in the owls exam, and only those with an A or above could join the advanced class.

The brown-haired boy standing next to him carefully filled his potion into the crystal vial.He looked at the light, sighed wearily, and said, "The color of my potion is too dim, it's not bright purple at all."

"Much better than mine, Remus," James reassured him.

Sirius, who had already finished bottling, leaned against the wall, yawning and waiting for his friends. His eyes involuntarily flicked in the direction of Ursa and Snape.

Ursa was leaning over to write something on the table. Her curly hair fell softly on the sides of Snape's cheeks, but Snape didn't notice it at all, and just stared firmly at the calculation process that Ursa had written down.

Then Sirius noticed Snape whispering something.Ersha's slightly frowned eyebrows immediately relaxed, and at the same time revealed a soft smile.

"Okay, let's go." Remus said suddenly, he had just put the four people's crystal bottles on the podium together.

"What are you staring at, Padfoot?" James asked, subconsciously following Sirius' gaze. "Let's go, what's so good about a snot-nosed man." He said with a shrug.

Sirius immediately looked away and let out a short "Oh".Until he walked out of the classroom, he didn't look in Ersha's direction again.
