[HP Sirius] Sweet Potions

Chapter 001 Letter from Mr. Slughorn

Ursa was busy making onion soup when Mr. Slughorn's letter came.

She skillfully added pepper and salt to the pot that had begun to emit aroma, muttering in her mouth: "18.5 grams of salt... pepper... 1.3 grams. It's perfect."

At this moment, her landlady, the industrious and respectable Mrs. Robert, suddenly cried out: "Oh, hell! It's the owl again—Ersa!"

As the last syllable landed, Mrs. Robert stormed into the kitchen, holding a feather duster in her hand to repel owls, "How many times have I said—no owls are allowed in my house?" in!"

Ersha's lips trembled slightly, and a slight blush appeared on her fair cheeks. She raised her head slightly from the steaming pot, and said in a cold tone, "...that's beyond my control."

Mrs. Robert was actually a Squib, though she had always refused to admit it.She'd been pretending she was just an ordinary Muggle, and was always talking about wizards in a deliberately contemptuous tone.

"I can't stand you wizards!" Mrs. Robert said deliberately loudly, "Can't you use the phone or fax?"

"...I'm sorry." Ursa replied with her head slightly lowered.

Ursa's apology made Mrs. Robert quickly relieved, but she still kept her face tense on purpose.

"Take your letter." She said sternly, handed the snow-white envelope to Ursa, and then turned and left.

Ursa looked at the byline on the cover—Horace Slughorn.

After thinking for half a minute, she suddenly remembered who this person was.She met him once when she was 15, when she was traveling around the world with her father.

She opened the letter, helped the frame of the mirror that was about to slide off, and read it.

"Dear Miss Green:

I learned from your father that you have returned to Europe and that you are looking for work.If possible, would you like to temporarily take over my job at Hogwarts?

I am going on a one-year recuperation trip next year, because my physical strength has been weakened by the increasing age, so I want to find someone who can take over for me during this time, and your father I solemnly recommend you to me.

As for the salary issue, I will discuss further with you after receiving your confirmation letter.Don't worry though, Hogwarts salaries have always been very generous.Strongly looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely, Horace Slughorn. "

Ersha stared at the letter, her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and then quickly relaxed again.

She is indeed looking for a job recently, but she has not found one that suits her.She hopes to continue her research while working - there are so few such jobs.A similar position was offered at St. Mungo's Hospital, and she was about to accept it.

But when she saw this letter, she suddenly changed her mind. Before this, she had never considered being a teacher, but now she suddenly had a strong interest.

Because her father hated "school education" very much (it is said that he suffered a lot when he went to school), she did not go to the magic school like other children, but followed her father to study while traveling.

In fact, Ursa yearns for campus life very much. She has always regretted that she did not go to school.

She realized that this was a great opportunity to make up for what was missing. In addition, this job is only for one year. If she regrets it, she can wait until it is over before choosing another job. She's not yet 20, and she's in no rush to settle down right away.

So she took out a ballpoint pen from her jacket pocket without hesitation, and leaned over the kitchen table to write a reply.

"I would very much like to take this job," she wrote.

Suddenly, a burnt and pungent smell entered her nose.

"Oh no—onion soup."

She frantically removed the onion soup from the fire, but accidentally touched the edge of the boiling pot.She let go of her hand subconsciously, and the soup pot fell to the ground with a bang.

Mrs. Robert, who rushed over after hearing the sound, stared dumbfounded at the mess on the kitchen floor.

Ursa's fair cheeks were as red as a tomato. She looked at Mrs. Robert in embarrassment, helped the large mirror frame, and said in her usual indifferent tone: "I'm sorry, my hand slipped."

Mrs. Robert took a deep breath, put her hands on her cheeks and let out a long, piercing, high-pitched scream.

As if she didn't hear Mrs. Robert's scream, Ursa lowered her head in silence, and licked the onion soup on her fingers with the tip of her tongue.

Her delicate eyebrows were immediately furrowed into a ball.

"...It's so unpalatable."

On September [-]st, Ursa got up early.

She spent nearly half an hour trying to get herself dressed, but it ended in a fiasco.

She worked hard on her face with the cosmetics she bought from a Muggle mall yesterday, and finally she looked at the face in the mirror that was so terrifying that it would scare a crying child and sighed.

——This is not makeup at all, but cross-dressing.

In the end, she had to spend half an hour to remove the stubborn makeup on her face.By the time everything was dealt with, it was almost too late for her to catch the train.

She took one last reluctant look at the bedroom where she had lived for three months.

She is already familiar with everything here, including how many stains there are in the corner of the wall.

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel a little sad.

Then she glanced at her watch and realized that she had to be at the train station in half an hour.So she grabbed her luggage and hurried downstairs.

Mrs. Robert, who was frying eggs, called out, "You haven't had your breakfast, Erza!"

"It's running out of time!" Ursa replied hastily. She looked at Mrs. Robert coming out of the kitchen with the frying pan and spatula in her hand, and felt a little sad again when she remembered that she would never have her delicious stew again.

So she went over and gave Mrs. Robert a hug.

Mrs. Robert looked stunned.

It had been a long time since her two daughters had been embraced so warmly. She patted Ursa on the shoulder stiffly.

"Thank you," whispered Ursa, "I'll write you a Christmas card... goodbye."

After Ersa finished speaking, she let go of Mrs. Robert, turned and walked towards the door.

Mrs. Robert froze in place for a few seconds, then suddenly curled up her lips, humming a song that was out of tune and went back to the kitchen.

Ursa chose to take the Muggle Underground to King's Cross Station.

Ursa's hair is now a brooding dark blue from lack of sleep. Her strange hair color attracted people's attention, and many people cast her curious glances.

This bothered her somewhat, and she began to regret forgetting to wear her hat to go out.

She's a natural Metamorphmagus, but unfortunately she can't control this ability very well.

Her hair color will change according to her mood, so she always controls her emotions habitually, which makes her look cold and aloof—in fact, those who really know her know that it is just an illusion.

Ersha chose an unobtrusive seat and sat down. She took a deep breath, leaned against the window and closed her eyes to rest.

The office workers in suits and leather shoes sitting next to her couldn't move away from her slightly open shirt collar and white calves.Fortunately, Ursa was not aware of this, otherwise she would have felt extremely embarrassed.

King's Cross station is coming soon.Following the instructions in Mr. Slughorn's letter, she found the entrance to the fabled Nine and Three-quarters Station.

Standing in front of that seemingly impenetrable wall, she suddenly became inexplicably excited, and her dark blue hair began to slowly turn back to its natural dark brown.

"Mummy, look! That person's hair!" A young girl called out crisply.

Ursa blushed immediately. She coughed lightly with no expression on her face, and quickly walked into the wall.

In the blink of an eye, the scarlet Hogwarts Express was close at hand.

The noise of the crowd mixed with the hooting of owls and toads instantly drowned her out.She opened her eyes slightly, and suddenly realized that this was the first time she had seen so many wizards gather together.

Nervousness and excitement made her hair start to turn a faint red.She pushed through the crowd and finally came to the entrance of the carriage.

She struggled to carry her luggage and got into the car behind a red-haired girl.

At this moment, a slender and beautiful hand suddenly stretched out from behind her.

"Need help?" A young boy's voice suddenly came from behind her.

Erza tilted her head slightly. She vaguely glimpsed a dark-haired young man standing behind her.

"Uh... well, yes," she replied.

As soon as her words fell, the hand immediately took the luggage from her.

After getting in the car, Ersha took back her luggage. She turned her head and wanted to thank the enthusiastic boy again, but the boy had already turned around and strode towards the opposite direction.

She looked at the other person's back in silence for a moment, and suddenly regretted not being able to see his face just now.

"Let's find a way to thank you later." She lowered her eyelashes slightly, thinking blankly, then turned around briskly and left.

Sirius Blake opened the door of the box, and James followed closely behind him.Another friend of theirs, a pudgy boy named Peter Pedirou, was already waiting for them inside.

"Hey, Wormtail, how was your vacation?" James asked, sitting down beside him carelessly.

"...not bad." Peter replied with a dry smile. "How about you, buddy? I think you must have a wonderful vacation."

"Fantastic," James replied, "Sirius and I have invented some new magical gadgets..."

Then he started talking to Peter about his holiday experience.

Sirius took a seat opposite Peter by the window. He didn't pay attention to what James was saying, but crossed his legs lazily and looked out the window silently with his chin resting on one hand.

"By the way, Padfoot, did you notice that girl just now?" James asked suddenly.

"Which one?" Sirius asked.

"Don't play dumb, it's the one who walked in front of you when you got into the car," James said. "I saw you help her with her luggage."

Sirius just said "oh" briefly.

There was a benign smile on James' face. "I've never seen you so enthusiastic, Padfoot. She's a stunner, man, don't tell me you didn't notice."

"Really? I really didn't notice it." Sirius replied lightly, with the uninterested expression still on his face.

"Did you say she was a transfer student?" James asked enthusiastically, "Honestly, she has a really good figure, and I don't think any girls in the whole grade can find her..."

"There are very few transfer students in Hogwarts." Sirius said calmly, he suddenly raised the corner of his mouth and looked outside the box, "Hey, Lily!"

James immediately shut his mouth tightly. But when he turned his head and looked over, he realized that he had been deceived.

"Don't scare me, buddy?" He clutched his chest in mock horror.

Sirius stretched his limbs in a relaxed manner, with a successful mischievous smile on his face.

At this moment, someone knocked on the door of the box.
