HP Dawn Night
Chapter 7 Admission
September 1991, 9 was the day I left home for Hogwarts.
"It's like this every year, there are Muggles everywhere." Mom led me into the train station, looking around curiously, "It's exactly the same as the last time I came here."
"Looks like that's where it is, Mom." I pointed to the wall, where a figure disappeared just now.
"Talk all the way, honey, don't stop. I'll go with you." Bethany flopped around in the cage, and my mother put her arm around my shoulder and helped me hold the stroller with the other.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw a platform filled with steam.
"It's unbelievable." I sighed in admiration, and then tried to find Pansy or Draco in the crowd.
"There they are." Mom was tall and tall, and she saw them at a glance across the crowd. The Malfoys were waving at us too.
"Good morning, Uncle Lucius, Aunt Narcissa, and Draco."
"Long time no see, Vio." Uncle Lucius said to me with a smile.
Aunt Narcissa seized the last time to tell Draco: "Remember to write letters to your family often, and don't talk to people who shouldn't be talked to..."
"If Severus tells me you've done something unworthy of Malfoy." Uncle Lucius snorted and shook the snake-shaped cane in his hand threateningly.Draco looked at it in horror.
"It's getting late, time to get the kids on the train." Mother stopped Aunt Narcissa from drowning Draco in kisses just in time.
"Ah, yes. Draco, remember to take care of Vio, do you hear me?" Aunt Narcissa reluctantly let go of Draco, his pale face was already blushing:
"Hmph." He curled his lips, making a monosyllable unwillingly.
"Draco—" Uncle Lucius coughed.
"I mean - yes, Mum. Don't worry, Aunt Margaret." He immediately put on Master Malfoy's airs, as if he hadn't made the face just now.
"Goodbye, then, kids." Mom waved to me and Draco, and I hugged her.
"I'll be back for Christmas." I whispered in my mother's ear.
Mom blinked quickly, smiled and kissed the top of my head: "Of course, honey."
I kissed my mother goodbye and got a hug from Aunt Narcissa. Then he boarded the Hogwarts Express with Draco.
"I have a new friend to introduce you." He helped me with a box and Bethany's cage, and I followed him with the other box.
"Here we are, Pansy is also inside." He opened the car door and motioned for me to go in first.
"Hi, Vio!" Pansy rushed over and gave me a warm hug.Her fluffy hair itched on her face, and I hugged her back with equal enthusiasm:
"Tell me, how is Miss Greengrass?"
"Cough." Draco made a voice behind me, he had already put the box away for me.Only then did I realize that there was a strange boy in the carriage.
"This is Blaise, Blaise Zabini," he introduced. "Brace, this is Violet, my godfather's daughter."
Blaise Zabini has dark brown hair and blue eyes.Mrs. Zabini's beauty was as famous as her legend, probably because of heredity, and Blaise Zabini was already very good-looking despite her young age.
"Nice to meet you, Violet." He extended his hand and shook me gentlemanly, "Just call me Blaise."
After everyone sat down, the train started.Parents outside the window waved goodbye to the children in the car, and many heads poked out of the car to wave and shout.
I tried to find my mother and the Malfoy couple in the crowd, but unfortunately there were none.
"Is there any fun in summer vacation?" Pansy asked me after the train pulled out of the platform, offering us some cookies made by house elves.
I leaned on my seat and looked out the window: "It's nothing, as usual, help my mother with work."
"Is Professor Snape really your father?" Pansy asked me quietly as he handed me a custard biscuit.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"It seems that you must have learned potions very well." Pansy said enviously.
I smiled: "You and Draco said exactly the same thing."
"Speaking of which," Blaise interrupted suddenly, "my mother is very interested in Miss Watson's Enchantment fragrance, and she would like to know if Miss Watson will launch a follow-up product." Speaking of which, He chuckled: "She has always been a loyal customer of Miss Watson."
"Really? Please thank Mrs. Zabini for me." I was taken aback, and quickly responded with a smile. The Watson crest on my chest reminds me to maintain a noble demeanor.
"My mom has learned everything in 100 Beauty Charms. She said she was going to visit Aunt Margaret sometime," Pansy told me.
"By the way, Pansy, have you been paying attention to the latest..."
These are the topics that girls like to discuss.Pansy and I had a quick and lively discussion about which store had a nice new headpiece and which store had a beautiful bespoke gown.
Blaise Zabini listened to our conversation with that standard smile.I keep paying attention to him from the corner of my eye. Has he learned to hide his heart at such a young age?
"...Unfortunately we are too young to wear high heels and socks."
Our chat has come to an end.Draco showed a little mischievous smile at this time: "My dad told me that Harry Potter was also on this train, so who wants to go with me to see the legendary Boy Who Lived? "
"What's the rush, we'll see you sooner or later." This guy really can't stop for a moment.I leaned on Pansy and responded lazily, "You don't want to go from car to car, do you?"
"I'm too lazy to move," Pansy said.Blaise showed his attitude with a polite smile.
"Okay," Draco stood up unhappily after being brushed off, "I'll ask Crabbe and Goyle to come with me."
He opened the compartment door with some displeasure and went out to find Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe.Pan Xi and I looked at each other, and we both read a little helplessness from the other's eyes.
"Let's bet what Draco looks like when he comes back," Pansy said boredly.
I thought about that day in Diagon Alley, and combined what I knew about Draco: "I bet it wasn't a good look."
"Dumbledore said that Harry Potter lived like a prince in the Muggle world." The topic turned to Harry Potter.
"Who knows." I took out the bag of candies, spread them out on the table, picked one and peeled off a candy wrapper, "Fruit flavor—this one is watermelon, do you want a piece? Pansy ? Brace?"
Pansy reached out and grabbed a handful.Blaise just shook his head. "Thanks, Violet, but no problem. I don't really like sweets."
"That's a pity." Pansy shrugged, rolled his eyes with a candy in his mouth, "Vio, do you know the specifics of Hogwarts? Like the school building or something."
At this time, the door of the box was suddenly pulled open.
A girl with shaggy brown hair stood in the doorway, she had already changed into her school gown. There was also a round-faced boy crouching behind her, looking a little silly.
"I'm sorry," she said articulately, and I noticed she had a pair of front teeth. "Have any of you seen Neville's toad?"
"Rifle's gone... I don't know where it went..." he stammered timidly.
"Your toad may not be here," Blaise Zabini said politely to the boy.The boy gave a sob of despair.
Pansy smirked aristocratically as he twirled his wand between his fingers.
"Sorry to bother you." The girl took a step back and closed the door of the box.Her voice comforting the boy came faintly.
"Maybe we can go to another car to see..."
"Neville Longbottom," I said.
"A Gryffindor," Blaise added, smiling.
"It could also be Hufflepuff—I heard that his magic power is extremely poor." Pansy smiled disdainfully, "Who is that girl?"
"do not know."
The door of the box was opened again. We all looked towards the door, and Draco walked in angrily.
"You're so good at predicting things, Vio." Pansy laughed softly.
"Have you met Harry Potter?" I asked him.
"That ignorant Potter actually sat with the traitor from the Weasley family." Draco slumped down on the seat, "Can you believe it, Vio, he was the one we met the other day in Diagon Alley idiot."
I showed a clear expression: "That can't be blamed on Potter, you offended him a month ago." Then, I comforted him with a candy: "It seems that the savior has chosen his side, Isn't it?"
Draco was still huffing, but he didn't speak again.
"Which car are Crabbe and Goyle?" I asked Draco.
"They were with Flint and Montague; Greengrass was with Bulstrode and Theodore Nott," Draco replied. "The others didn't see it."
He chewed the candy furiously, and my gut told me that Potter and Weasley must have had the upper hand in what had just happened.
"I think it's about time." Pansy looked out the window. "We need to change into school robes."
Draco and Blaise let me and Pansy change the car.
"Do you need a sweater this day?" Pansy tossed the sweater aside.
"Mommy said it was going to be a bit chilly going across the lake, but I don't think it's that cold." In the end Pansy and I decided to just wear the black cloak over our shirts.
"Okay, let them come in and change."
Draco and Blaise moved much faster. As soon as they changed, the train slowly stopped.
"Don't worry about the luggage, let's go." My mother told me that after we were sorted, the luggage would be sent to our dormitory.
"FIRST YEARS! FIRST YEARS!" shouted Rubeus Hagrid, holding up a lamp. "This way, follow me."
I saw many freshmen stumble off the train as they tripped over their cloaks.
Pansy sneered, and Draco acted like he didn't see them making a fool of themselves.
"No more than four in a boat! Come on." Hagrid waved his huge hand.
"Daddy says he's a half-giant. I have to agree with that," Draco told us, the four of us huddled in the boat.
Pansy tugged on the cloak tremblingly: "We should wear sweaters."
At this moment, I heard a noise not far away, and Hagrid's roar.I tried to reassure: "Be optimistic, at least we didn't fall into the lake."
"Look!" The exclamation in the distance made us look up, and the brightly lit Hogwarts Castle appeared in front of our eyes.
"Stupid." The sound of admiration and exclamation clearly bothered Master Malfoy, Draco looked at the castle hidden under the night with disgust, but he still couldn't help showing expectation in his eyes.I tugged on his sleeve briskly:
"Have fun, Draco. You have to admit it's still pretty spectacular, no?"
Master Malfoy smiled faintly: "Indeed, especially after I entered Slytherin."
"Ryfe!" Neville Longbottom let out a shriek of delight as he disembarked.
"Looks like he's finally found his toad," Blaise said calmly.
We didn't have to wait too long before we were led into the dining room by Professor McGonagall—the location of the branch.
After I hastily followed the crowd to look at the star-studded ceiling, I began to look for my father's figure.
Fortunately, I didn't search for a long time before I saw my father on the teacher's bench. He was still wearing a black robe and was looking in our direction.
Although I don't know if he can see it, I still smiled at him from a distance-although it was a little stiff.
After all, it is still very difficult to accept a father who has not been seen for 11 years, and I still need time.
"That hat sings badly, doesn't it," Pansy whispered to me.
"Fred and George talked like they were going to fight a troll!" Without looking back, it must be the Weasley child.
"When I read the names, the Sorting Hat will tell you which college you should go to." Professor McGonagall spread out a long list.
Dirty Sorting Hats were placed on everyone's heads, some calling out their house at once, while others took a long time - such as Neville Longbottom.
"Draco Malfoy!" Professor McGonagall called Draco's name.
He looked around haughtily. "Good luck," I whispered.
Sure enough, the Sorting Hat yelled out as soon as it touched his hair—"Slytherin!" Draco smiled triumphantly.
Pansy was soon assigned to Slytherin, and behind her was the famous Harry Potter. The sorting hat stayed on his head for a long time, but in the end, as expected, he was sorted into Gryffindor.
Blaise and I watched Gryffindor cheering with cold eyes.
"Violet Snape!"
The Slytherin students looked in this direction all at once. On the one hand, they were looking at me, and on the other hand, they probably took the opportunity to observe their father's expression secretly.
I walked towards the triangular stool expressionlessly.I accidentally noticed that the rustling voices in the auditorium suddenly became much quieter.
You don't need to think about it to find the air-conditioning emanating from the teacher's seat, tsk, it must be the father who is killing people with his eyes, isn't he?
Dean Slytherin is indeed famous. It's a pity that those who observe me will probably be disappointed, after all, my appearance doesn't have much of my father's shadow.
"Ah...another Snape, or Watson?" the Sorting Hat murmured. "Then, you must belong to Slytherin!"
It bellowed that name into the auditorium.
No one objected - it would be really weird if I wasn't sorted into Slytherin.
I happily walked over to the place Pencey had left for me.
"How do you feel?" Pansy asked me.
"Fortunately, I'm more curious about my father's expression." I said.
"Professor Snape looks...difficult to get along with." Pansy said with difficulty, and from her expression, I could see how euphemistic and reserved this sentence was.
"The Godfather always does." Draco sat across from me.
At this time Blaise Zabini also came to us, he was the last student to be sorted.
It turned out just as we'd expected—Greengrass, Bulstrode, Pansy, and I were the only girls in this class of Slytherins.
"'Stupid, sneeze, scum, twist'? What did he mean by that?" The girl sitting on Pansy's other side laughed softly after Dumbledore finished speaking.
She has curly brown hair, blue eyes, and a pointed nose and chin.Seeing us looking sideways at her, she smiled confidently: "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Daphne Greengrass." She pointed to the black-haired girl beside her: "This is Miss Millicent Burst .”
While we were introducing each other, the empty plate on the table was full of food.
"It's not as greasy as the legend says, is it?" I took a fish steak, Pansy tasted a piece of lamb chop critically, and finally relieved his expression with satisfaction:
"not bad."
Slytherin has always been known for its etiquette, and this situation has intensified in the past two years.Under the influence of the general trend and family education, every student in Slytherin tries to be noble and elegant, even using the tableware without making a sound.
"I heard that Beauxbaton's food is more exquisite." Pansy gently put down the knife and fork, and began to eat dessert.I took a sip of pumpkin juice and replied:
"It's okay. After all, it's a girls' school, and the overall style should be more refined."
Because both grandparents and mom lived in France, the elves in the family cook first-rate French cuisine. My mother told me a little bit about Beauxbatons, too.
"Will Aunt Margaret continue to cooperate with France?" Pansy asked.
"Maybe," I noticed that Greenglass seemed to be paying attention to this direction, "I'll talk to you in detail when I have time."
Pansy changed the subject tacitly, and we began to discuss the Hogwarts furnishings. The boys across the way chatted about Quidditch as a matter of course.
Greenglass turned back somewhat disappointed, not knowing what he was talking to Bostrode.
"Freshmen, come with me." After Dumbledore finished his concluding remarks, a man and a woman stood up from the senior side. They should be the prefects of Slytherin.
"Draco, what were you talking about?" I asked Draco as we walked down the corridor toward the cellar.
"I met a few people, just chatting casually." He took advantage of the crowds, and complained impatiently in a low voice, "There are no important people. Father thinks I should deal with the savior first, but since he rejected Malfoy olive branch, then..."
"...Then don't be enemies if you can't be friends, okay?" I sighed, and Draco stared at me in disbelief, as if I had said something outrageous, "Please, Uncle Lucius probably thinks the same yes, isn't it?"
"You and my dad said something similar." Draco pulled me slightly away from the Slytherin line, "Dad doesn't think I should provoke the Savior, but if Potter thinks that at Hogwarts, at Dumbledore If that old fool can do whatever he wants under the shelter of him, then he is very wrong."
Draco's gray eyes flickered in the dim light of the fire, and I took a light breath: "The savior is the savior after all, Draco, be careful."
"Both of you, keep up with the team." The female prefect's voice sounded not far away, and we quickly stepped up to reintegrate into the big team.
"The password is 'inheritance'," said the prefect.
The Slytherin lounge is located at the bottom of the lake, but has a high dome.A warm green flame danced in the fireplace, and a huge crystal chandelier hung from the center of the ceiling.Slytherin hangings hung in the drawing room, in shades of silver and green, of course.
"Vio, let's go to the dormitory." Pansy led me up the steps to one side.
When I saw the names of four people written on the door plate, I was not without depression.
"My God," Pansy groaned.
The bedroom is rather spacious, with four beds lined up, hung with green bed curtains. Each has its own bedside table and wardrobe.
Pansy and I walked around a few times and were satisfied with the dormitory.
Pansy and I were packing up when Greenglass and Burst came in.
"Good evening," she said in a tone.I pretended to be tidying up my closet, with my back to Greenglass, while Pansy went straight up in a haughty silence.
Greengrass probably couldn't get off the stage, I turned around in time, just in time to see the slightly embarrassed Bulstrode. In fact, relatively speaking, I think it is easier to get along with the silent and seldom-spoken Berster, so I actively nodded to her: "Hello, Miss Berster."
Millicent Burst and I greeted each other happily, while Greenglass reached for the family crest I had left on the bedside table—
"Watson? Then, Miss Margaret Watson must be your mother?" She looked at me with interest, "Isn't your surname Snape—"
"Please call me 'you', Miss Greengrass." I raised my chin proudly at her with a full aristocratic posture, "Besides, the upbringing of the Greengrass family is to pick up other people's things without permission. something?"
I already knew my father was a half-breed, my grandmother was Erin Prince, a Slytherin, but my grandfather was a complete Muggle.Which means I'm not really a pureblood. That's what Greenglass was trying to imply just now.
Although it is not clear why Greenglass came to me, but if I lost face to Greenglass, I would be too sorry for the 11 years I have lived.
Daphne Greengrass stepped back angrily, but I didn't intend to give her any room to fight back: "May I ask, what did Miss Greengrass want to ask just now?"
"So Miss Snape is wearing the crest of House Watson to hide that she's not a pureblood?" she said stupidly. From the sudden change in Pansy's expression, I know that her impression of Greengrass has dropped to a negative value.
"So, does Miss Greengrass think her blood is purer than mine? In fact, I don't mind if we look through each other's family trees together, or," I slowly drew out my wand and pointed it straight at Greengrass, "Another way to prove which of us is more 'noble' educated?"
I watched with satisfaction as Greenglass' face contorted at the other end of the wand, the blood receding from her face.If Daphne Greengrass had any intelligence, she should shut up.
I turned around, not intending to continue talking to her——
"Disarm you! All petrified!"
The wand whirled out of her hand, and Pansy caught it behind her back, then tossed it away in disgust.Millicent Burst took a pale step back.Daphne Greengrass froze in her attacking stance.I watched with interest as tears of shame welled up in her eyes:
"Please don't try to sneak up on me from behind, Miss Greengrass, or I can't guarantee what spell will hit you next time."
As I said that, I glanced lightly at Boster, she had regained her composure, and she lowered her eyes wittily to meet my gaze.
This means that nothing has been seen.I cast a glance at Pansy, and untied Greengrass from the restraints—after all, it was just a warning.
"It's like this every year, there are Muggles everywhere." Mom led me into the train station, looking around curiously, "It's exactly the same as the last time I came here."
"Looks like that's where it is, Mom." I pointed to the wall, where a figure disappeared just now.
