HP Dawn Night

Chapter 5 Diagon Alley

Of course, the matter of the cold drink shop will be discussed later.

After shrinking our new gowns into carry-on bags with a few nifty charms, the moms announced the next stop as we watched in amazement—

"Ollivander's Wand Shop, of course." Mom fondled her wand fondly and said in a reminiscing tone, "When I bought it here 20 years ago..."

"The point of today is not to reminisce about the past, Maggie." Aunt Narcissa patted her mother on the shoulder. "The children still need their wands."

Ollivander's wand shop was small and shabby, and the inside of the shop could not be seen through the dusty windows. There was a strange creaking sound as the door was pushed open, and even though I had prepared myself for it, I was startled by the pile of wands in the store that reached the ceiling.

The store is very quiet, as if isolated from another world.

This strange silence made all four of us fall into a brief meditation. This place seemed to contain unsolvable puzzles and profound magic.

"Good afternoon." The sudden soft voice startled me, and Draco's back shivered. Did he get scared too?

"Good afternoon, Mr. Ollivander," my mother greeted calmly.

And Aunt Narcissa obviously didn't like the messy facilities in the store, so she reluctantly nodded as a greeting when she came back to her senses.

But Mr. Ollivander didn't care, his eyes were as bright as the moon.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Ollivander." I tugged at Draco's sleeve and asked him to join me in saying hello to the old gentleman with the big light eyes.

"Ah...Miss Margaret Watson, I still remember your wand, chestnut, unicorn hair, eleven and a quarter inches, sharp and artistic, very suitable for you." He whispered Then, turning to me and Draco, "So, Master Malfoy and Miss Watson—"

"It's Miss Snape now." I corrected him.

Mr. Ollivander stared at me for a long time with his big light-colored eyes: "Miss Snape? Ah... yes. You are used to using your wand with your right hand? Let me see: birch, willow, mahogany Wood, chestnut..." He murmured something I couldn't understand, and rummaged excitedly.

When he said these words, a soft measure was measuring the circumference of Draco's head and mine.

"Excellent...Try this one." Mr. Ollivander came back with a box in his hand. "Oak, snake's nerve, exactly fifteen inches, very springy. Maybe it's for you?"

I took it and waved it, and a lampshade on Mr. Ollivander's desk shattered to pieces.

"No, no..." I hurriedly handed back my wand, and Mr. Ollivander immediately gave me another one, "Cedar wood, phoenix tail feathers, sixteen and one-third inches long, a powerful and extraordinary combination .”

As soon as I took the wand, Mr. Ollivander suddenly snatched it back from my hand: "No, no, still not right..." He walked into the depths of the shop talking to himself: "Try this one. Yes, black walnut, dragon heartstrings, twelve and two-thirds inches long. A very unique combination."

I held the wand, and suddenly felt a hot touch between my fingers, and then, as if being pulled by a hand, I swung the wand downward, a pale golden light illuminated the dust flying in the air, and the dust on the table The book quickly turned the pages with the wave of the wand.

Mom and Aunt Narcissa applauded.Draco was fascinated by the dancing spots on the wall.

"Beautiful but not easy to control, but with unique magical aptitude. Miss Snape, this wand has chosen you." Mr. Ollivander's scrutiny made me a little hairy.

"Thank you." I stepped back to make room for Draco, examining my wand carefully.

There are some dark patterns on the body of the smooth stick, the delicate and beautiful handle design, the heavy iron-like color, and the chic peeling paint design, which looks old and gorgeous.

"You don't see wands like that often, do you?" I whispered to my mother.

"Yes. But it chose you, Vio, and you'd make great partners." Mom showed me her wand. "The wand chooses the wizard. You see, you'll have as good a time as we do."

"It looks beautiful." I stroked the body of the wand, and my mother laughed lightly:

"Just like you, my little princess."

At this time Draco also chose his own wand.

"Hawthorn wood, unicorn hair, fair stretch, just ten inches. He's kind of weird, isn't he?" Draco said to me as we headed to the Eilah Owl shop.

"Maybe he said that to everyone." I looked at the owls squatting neatly there. "I wanted to get a cat, but I thought an owl would be more useful. Well, that's it."

I pointed out a beautiful owl with piebald plumage of mainly brown and deep gold and sparkling black eyes.Seeing me looking at it, this cute owl raised its head reservedly.

"I'll have to buy some feed for my owl, too." Draco's current owl was a giant horned owl.The Malfoys have always liked to use this rare and huge owl - to reflect their identity.

"Vio, maybe you and Draco can go shopping by yourself?" Mom took out a delicate pocket watch from the pocket of her robe and looked at it. "Sissy and I still have some things to do."

"Of course it's fine. But, Mom, Draco and I don't seem to have the cauldrons and things we need for Potions." I took out the list and pointed to one of them.Aunt Narcissa showed a smile of both disdain and arrogance:

"They've got it ready for us, of course—just drop by and pick it up on the way back."

"What's more, Watson's family will not lack these things." Mom said proudly.

"That's it, children. See you at the door of the cauldron shop in an hour." Aunt Narcissa patted my head affectionately, then turned around gracefully, "I hope it can be resolved quickly, Maggie, I really don't want to Take care of these two children."

"Don't worry, Sissy. Draco and Vio are going to school soon, they can take care of themselves." Mom comforted Aunt Narcissa while telling me, "Don't go to those roadside stalls , and don't pay attention to strangers' strike-up."

After Draco and I both nodded, my mother left with Aunt Narcissa in peace.

"Okay then, Draco, maybe we can go to Florin's first, and then we can walk around together? Like Quidditch boutiques and changing ink stationery?" After watching the two mothers leave, I touched Touched the Galleon in his pocket and asked Draco.

"Of course. I remember you like raspberry and some chocolate?"

"I've actually grown to like the combination of chocolate and hazelnuts for a while now, actually."

"Okay, I'll pay, Vio, as I said before..."

The Florin's soda shop was packed, and Draco and I had to wait in line for a long time.Among them, I appeased the little prince Malfoy who was on the verge of the limit of his endurance several times, and for the sake of ice cream, Draco really stayed obediently.

Sitting on the open-air lounge chair outside Florin's Cold Drink Shop, Draco and I put on an aristocratic demeanor while eating ice cream and observing the passing crowd.

"If you ask me, that guy just now is probably a bitch." Draco couldn't forget the boy he met in the robe shop.

"Of course, otherwise Rubeus Hagrid would have come with him." I squinted my eyes and enjoyed the cold feeling of the ice cream.

"He looked like he was pulled out of a trash can." Draco sarcastically said.I didn't want to continue arguing with him over an unimportant person, so I followed his words:

"Oh, actually, there are actually people who are willing to go to the junk store to pick things up." I looked in one direction.Draco followed my gaze and looked over:

"Weasley?" He frowned in disgust, and when I poked him in the face, he looked away awkwardly.

The Weasleys had clearly just come out of the junk shop and the second-hand robe shop, maybe they were going to the drugstore and the cauldron shop.Don't they know how to cast a simple little spell to shrink the pile of things they bought?

I looked at the big family, they were conspicuous wherever they went.

"Worn robes, dirty appearance, poverty. The scum of pure blood, traitor." Draco, who was instilled with the concept of pure blood since he was a child, of course disliked that family.

I'm not as extreme as Draco, but I also keep a decent enough distance from the Weasleys.

"Leave them alone," I said.Draco snorted, stood up and dusted off the non-existent dust: "Let's go to the Quidditch boutique first. I bet that red-haired pauper will never set foot in such a place in his life."

"I can't buy it yet, but I can take a look." I said to Draco.

"My dad said that Nimbus 2001 will be launched soon." He looked at the group of people around Nimbus 2000 with contempt, as if he had never expected it, "I must order one as soon as possible. What about you, Vio?"

I nodded, and from the corner of my eye I saw the two twins of the Weasley family seeming to want to come here: "Are those twins from the Gryffindor school team?"

Draco squinted haughtily: "Maybe. But their family can only afford the 'sweep' price."

"I'm definitely going to buy a care kit." I look enviously at the top-of-the-line broom care kit (with care booklet and broom guide) lined up on the shelves.

"If you enter the school team next year, Aunt Margaret will definitely buy you a set." Seeing that I was still looking at that set of equipment, Draco immediately added, "Of course, you will definitely be able to enter, You fly very well."

"You fly pretty well, Draco. I think you'd be a Seeker, wouldn't you?" I said.

"Probably." Although his mouth was modest, Draco's expression clearly believed that this was a certainty.

After all, Master Draco Malfoy has had toy broomsticks since he was barely able to walk. And Aiko's Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa are even more responsive to his various requests.

The Weasleys passed us by, and they were heading to the Crucible, as expected. The twins seemed to want to go to the Quidditch boutique, but their mother sternly refused. When passing by, I also heard their conversation——

"Brand new Nimbus 2000—"

"There's also a brand new care kit."

"We're just going to see—"

"Absolutely do not buy!"

"By Merlin—"

"We could have made two Nimbus money—"

"If only our dear mother would let us invent a little invention—"

"Fred, George! I will never allow you to continue playing those dangerous tricks at home!" The chubby woman let out a lethal roar, "Unless you can get back twelve O's in OWL!"

"Yeah yeah, like Bill—"

"Maybe only Percy can do it, isn't it?"

The twins looked at one of the oldest boys in unison. His face gradually turned as red as his hair, and he replied angrily and stammered a few words.

The Weasleys' red hair had become one of their hallmarks, as had the Malfoys' pale blond hair.

Draco and I watched the big family go away speechlessly.Draco shook his head, dragged me into the stationery store, and muttered something in his throat, I guess it wouldn't be a good thing.

At the stationery store, I picked up some rolls of parchment, some nice quills, boxes of color-changing ink, and a wizard chess set that would sing to the winner.

Draco didn't buy Wizard Chess, I think he'd be interested in the set of pure gold gobstones, but that's too "unaristocratic" a game.In the end he settled on an exquisite dynamic model of the universe enclosed in a glass sphere.

"Looks like you're going to get an O in astronomy," I teased.

"Of course," he replied arrogantly, dragging his aria, "the heir to the Malfoy family will always be the best one—as for astronomy, dear Violet, have you forgotten the origin of my name?"

"Oh, that's true, honorable Master Malfoy. Then, my potions and herbs must be very good? Please don't forget my name and the extraordinary magic in the blood of the Watson family." I also responded to him with a promiscuous aria.

"I'm not in the least worried about your Potions grades, my dear Vio, the Godfather will not allow your Potions grades to be lower than anyone else's." He smiled—almost wickedly—and I felt as if I had been stepped on. Jumped up like a cat with a tail: he touched my weakness all at once.

"I also believe that Father would not allow his godson to make a mistake in Potions class," I said to him slyly, in a flash of inspiration.

"Enough, Vio." He flinched involuntarily at my words, revealing his awe (or fear?) of his godfather.

It seems that I also discovered your weakness.

I smiled threateningly at Draco.
