HP Dawn Night

Chapter 35 Day 1

What is life like at 19 Spider's End?Soon after Mum left, Dad headed straight into the basement, while I packed my bags in the new room—hands-on like a Muggle, since I wasn't allowed to use magic outside of school.

After I finished collecting my things and read the book for a while, the sky outside the window had gradually darkened.

I suddenly realized that I absolutely cannot expect my father to come and prepare dinner for me—maybe he himself eats when he thinks about it, and just forgets about it!

Believe me, the kitchen here is just as unpleasant.

I rummaged in the cupboard for a long time, and checked every drawer and cabinet carefully. But no matter where it is, it looks like it is not sticking to the fireworks.I thought for a while in despair, unable to contain my hunger, and finally decided to bother Snape, the master of potions.

"I'm sorry, father." The basement was filled with smoke and sweltering heat, and several cauldrons were bubbling. Makes a delicious soup or stew!

My father reacted slowly when he heard my call, and it seemed that it was already dinner time.I understand, because I can't see the sky outside the window in the basement.

"I almost forgot about you." My father gave himself a clean-up, then left his basement with a sigh, and pushed me out by the way, "Stay away from those crucibles, it's very dangerous."

Facts have proved that the presence of the father is of no use.Because both the kitchen and the dining room were empty, but Severus Snape didn't show a trace of shame on his face, he rummaged through the tallest cabinet skillfully, and found out from it—

A piece of bread that I don't know if I can eat it!

"I think this piece of bread should be edible, although it won't taste very good." Father said with a serious face. "This is not Watson Manor, and there are no loyal house elves who will prepare meals for you."

"..." I thought of the sumptuous meal I had the night before, and felt that I had fallen into a huge trap.

My father put a piece of bread and a glass of water on the table, and it seemed that was my dinner.

I quickly realized that I couldn't argue too much with the potions master, because in the blink of an eye, my father was back in his basement.dinner?that's not important!

I bit the dry bread, wanting to cry without tears.Thinking about it this way, I can't help feeling resentful towards Draco. He obviously won't show up until tomorrow. As for now, he must be enjoying a table full of delicacies in the magnificent dining room of Malfoy Manor!

fraud!

I angrily made up my mind that I must find a way to improve my dietary conditions.

Maybe it's because of the bed and the new environment, I woke up very early.

He glanced at the time—six o'clock.Anyway, I can't sleep, it's better to get up.

Breakfast was another problem, and it's hard for me to blame my father for this one, after all the years he's been alone, it takes time to get used to it.

Facts have proved that sometimes I am a bold and cautious child.

I searched the whole house carefully, and finally found a crumpled Muggle note in a corner of the attic. I think it must have a face value of five pounds.I rummaged through it again, and finally found a few coins of varying denominations.

Since I've never lived in the Muggle world, I'm not sure if that's a lot of money or a little bit, or how much you can buy, but... one has to try, right?

As an added bonus, my father didn't put any protective spells on the house—at least I left quietly—maybe 19 Spider's End has put me on the safe list?

The mornings in Cokeworth are also deserted, at least not in comparison with London.I walked for a long time before I found a small supermarket on a street corner. The cashier sat lazily behind the counter and didn't even lift his eyelids when he saw me go in.

Although the town of Cokeworth is already in a state of depression, the prices here are quite attractive.I quickly picked out half a dozen eggs, half a carton of bacon, a carton of milk, and a pat of butter. I didn't buy anything else because I strongly doubted that Muggle money would ever be used...

The cashier gave me my change and gave me a paper bag for the food.In this regard, the wizard's spell is much more convenient, and a shrinking spell can relieve a lot of burden.I often see Mom and Aunt Narcissa use this method to easily stuff new purchases into a small bag.

It was daylight when we slipped back to 19 Spinner's End, and it was always foggy over Cokeworth town, maybe because of the Muggle industry.I don't understand.

It is not particularly difficult for me to solve a simple breakfast, toast, fried eggs, fried bacon, and soon the aroma permeates the small kitchen.

When I put the hot sandwich on the table, my father slowly came out of the basement. Judging from his expression, I easily knew that the night of the potions master was spent by the cauldron.

"I think a fresh breakfast is very necessary, father, what do you think?" I said before my father, trying my best to make him ignore the fact that I left without authorization.

My father's expression told me that my culinary skills were recognized.

"Actually, you don't have to get up to make breakfast." Father said, frowning. My heart is in my throat, and may Merlin bless me for not making my father feel so remiss. So make up for it quickly:

"No, I actually think it's good exercise. Ah, by the way, can I watch your experiment later? Just watch!"

Merlin must have heard my prayer.Father thought for a while, and actually nodded in agreement!

"Draco's due this afternoon," his father warned with a cough. "I hope you'll spend more time doing business instead of trying to cause trouble like a bunch of mindless Gryffindors. If that's the case , I think I have enough stuff in my basement to keep you guys busy all summer."

I said sincerely, "Of course, father, I have always followed the law."

Father was unmoved at all.

The incident of the dragon comes first, and the incident of the trapdoor comes second. Is it true that I have been classified as a restless type in my father's heart now!

The author has something to say:

The money that Vio found could still buy a lot of things in the UK in the early 90s [although it can’t be compared with the lavish Dudley--], and some large supermarkets in the UK such as ASDA have set up a one-dollar section.
