HP Dawn Night

Chapter 2 Father

The dinner was sumptuous.

Although it was only me and my mother, the atmosphere was great.

The house-elf pulls out all the stops, dish after dish comes out of the kitchen, including my favourites, smoked salmon, baked mashed potatoes, honeydew melon ice cream and blueberry pie.Of course, there are also truffle foie gras and lobster jelly, which are not easy to see, which dazzled me.

"Mom, what day is today?" I was a little uncomfortable, "It's just an acceptance letter from Hogwarts."

"No, no, honey, it's a sign." Mom looked extra excited tonight, she put her arms around me and walked to the overly luxurious dining table, "My Violet is grown up and is about to step into the real magic The world is gone. Think about how happy your grandparents were 20 years ago..."

Mom waved her magic wand and it made a beautiful banner with a purple background and silver cursive words - Miss Violet Watson's Magical Journey.

"It's so beautiful, Mom!" I looked around happily.

"There could be more. Want to see?" Mom twirled her wand triumphantly.

"Ah——Miss Margaret Watson, would you mind showing me more wonderful things?" I gently broke away from my mother's arms, held up the skirt and performed a standard curtsy, and my mother laughed :

"Like a little grown-up, how ladylike and elegant. Thank you Merlin! You are indeed my Violet."

She raised her wand and chanted a series of complex incantations as if showing off, and suddenly the entire Watson Manor was illuminated by a twilight.I rushed to the window to look out, and the leaves in the garden were magically turned into gold and silver, swaying in the wind, and shining charming light in the night.

"Excellent!"

"Enjoy your dinner, my little princess," Mom called softly, and the house-elf rolled out a giant chocolate fountain from the kitchen.

"Wow!" I couldn't help exclaiming.

"I guess you'll like this. I ordered the elf to make this impromptu to celebrate your admission. Do you like it?" Mom looked at me tenderly. "It will never spoil, and you can entertain your friends with it."

"Thank you, Mom." I rushed to hug my mother.

She slowly ran down my hair: "Thank you, Vio."

At the dinner table, my mother told interesting stories about her reading.

"You can't go to Hogsmeade until your third year, but it's really interesting."

"Tell me the ghost story about the Screaming Shack again."

At this time, I am comfortably leaning on my favorite armchair by the living room window, flipping through "Hogwarts: A School History" that I have read countless times.

"I'll be in Slytherin, won't I, Mom?" As I picked up a snack from the little plate, I noticed my mother's No. 17 distraction tonight, the teacup in her hand was tilted too far , the tea almost filled the tea tray and was about to wet her skirt.

"Mom!" I raised my voice slightly.

"What's the matter, dear?" She seemed to be startled by me. This time, the tea inevitably wet her skirt, and she waved her wand carelessly.

"I wanted to remind you that the tea was about to be spilled—what's the matter with you?"

"I have something to tell you."

We both spoke at the same time.

"Okay, you go first." She stared at me for a while, but I shook my head firmly:

"You first."

"Well... Vio, dear, it's about your father." She moved uncomfortably, but quickly regained her composure.

Hearing this sentence, my mouth opened without manners.

"Father?" I repeated stupidly.

"Yes." Mom looked at me guiltily.

"Mom, are you kidding me?" I looked at my mother pleadingly, but she just looked at me guiltily:

"Narcissa doesn't think I should tell you, but I think you should know." Mom opened and closed her mouth, and finally said to me briefly and candidly, "I'm sorry, Vio, I shouldn't have let you know so suddenly. I know. I'll explain it to you, okay?"

"Honorable hostess, the honorable Malfoy family and their guests have passed the portkey to our foyer," Polly called out to us from outside the lounge.

"Guest? Mom, that's—"

Mom pushed open the door of the lounge decisively: "Polly, invite them to the living room. Vio, stay here, okay? Wait until I call you."

"Okay." I stood there for a second or two, and my mother looked at me beggingly. We argued silently for a while, and finally I reluctantly nodded.

"Please, dear."

As she said so in a low voice, the door of the lounge closed under my watchful eyes, but my mother's footsteps of leaving were much lighter.

I went back to the armchair in front of the window, tried to relax with snacks and drinks, but felt uneasy. When I went to the door to call Polly, the door suddenly opened——

"Draco?"

"Vio! Are you all right?"

The doorknob almost hit my nose, but fortunately I avoided it nimbly.

"Did you come with Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa?" I looked at the little boy in front of me. He was only 11 years old like me, but he had already imitated Uncle Lucius and combed his hair like adults up.

"Obviously easy to see." He went around the coffee table familiarly and chose a piece of dessert he liked, "I think you must have received that letter."

"Of course." I watched him take my beloved seat anticlimactically. "I think I'll go to Slytherin."

"I'll definitely go," he said smugly, straightening his shirt against the bright candlestick. "There's no Malfoy who isn't from Slytherin."

I suddenly remembered: "Draco, who else is here with you?"

"My godfather." He gave me a curious look, "I'm also curious, does Aunt Margaret know him?"

"Your godfather?" I took a breath, my mind spinning rapidly, "Who is it?"

"Severus Snape, the potions professor at Hogwarts, and also the head of Slytherin. What's the matter?" He looked at me who was circling around, "Your little head is thinking what?"

I opened the curtains and looked down. Unfortunately, there was nothing but the manor at night.I leaned over the door again trying to hear something, but there was silence in the corridor.

An ominous premonition gradually rose in my heart.

"It's useless, they cast a dozen sound-proof spells." Draco shrugged, "What are Mom and Dad doing here so late?"

"That's what I want to know too." I sighed and shifted to an armchair. "How was your summer, Draco?"

"Just like that, Dad promised to buy me a Nimbus 2000, but they banned new students from bringing broomsticks to school? That's ridiculous, I'm going to ask my dad to talk to the other directors about it." Draco complained The school rules are unreasonable, "What about you?"

"I'm ready to spend the summer under my mother's servitude." Draco looked at me with raised eyebrows and a sympathetic expression.

"Aunt Margaret as always."

I rubbed my right wrist indifferently: "I'm used to it."

"By the way, Vio, would you like to go to Diagon Alley with me to prepare things for the start of school?" Draco said slowly after a while.I noticed that he was twisting the hem of his clothes all the time.

"Okay." I nodded.

"However, are you sure you won't be haunted by Pansy?" Draco looked at the ceiling distrustfully, and I looked at his pale golden head, and couldn't help but laugh:

"Pansy complained in a letter to me a few days ago, saying that she was occupied by Ms. Daphne Greengrass throughout the summer vacation, because they met by chance at a banquet and they hit it off." I blinked my eyes. , Draco's face slowly turned a little red:

"Father thinks that the connection between pure-blood families should be closer."

"It's a pity that I was sick that day. I heard that Miss Millicent Burst went too?" I responded to Draco's explanation with a smirk.

"That's right." He responded with the same smirk.

"So, maybe we'll be classmates at the beginning of term." I sighed. "Maybe I have to write another letter to Pansy? What a wonderful Hogwarts life."

I think Draco must have understood me, because he looked at the carpet and laughed silently.

"Miss, the mistress invites you to go downstairs. There is also Master Malfoy." Polly said in a trembling voice outside the door, probably because the spell was lifted, and the door of the lounge opened slowly.I recovered from the conversation, and I couldn't help shaking when I remembered the reason why my mother locked me in the lounge tonight.

"Vio?"

"Nothing." I quickly shook my head, "Let's go down."

The atmosphere in the living room was a little strange.

Mom and Aunt Narcissa had an intimate conversation about the inside news about the hair potion. Mom had already told Aunt Narcissa the first-hand news that the fragrance was released, and now they are discussing how long the fragrance will be when it is released Out of stock.

"... I hope Vio has inherited your talent for potions." Draco and I were walking down the stairs when I heard Aunt Narcissa say these words.

"Ah, Wei Ao, you're here." Mom beckoned to me, and I walked over obediently, and saw a strange black-robed man sitting on a sofa in the living room.

He has a hooked nose, black eyes, sallow complexion, greasy and straight black hair, and a black robe. This kind of attire can't make him look amiable, not to mention the way he looks at me. Unfathomable and unfathomable, a cold aura spread from this person.

"Godfather." Draco called from behind me.

Is he Severus Snape? Before I could get around, I heard my mother's voice: "Vio, this is Mr. Severus Snape, um, that's your father."

what?

I was stunned.

"Margaret, I remember the last time you said you wanted to show me something?" Aunt Narcissa added a little confusion at the right time, and my mother immediately stood up cooperatively, "Lucius wants to go and see together? "

I cast my eyes on Uncle Lucius for help, unfortunately, the cunning old fox immediately said tactfully: "This is very good, Sif, Vio, you can take this opportunity to have a good chat. As for Della Co, you can come with us."

"Father……"

Although Draco was obviously not happy, but due to the oppression of Uncle Lucius and the cold air emanating from his godfather—well, my father—I finally watched his figure disappear into the corner of the corridor helplessly During the period, he turned his head many times, as if he was worried that my father would kill someone to silence him.

"Uh... Hello, Father." I bite the bullet and turn around.

"Violet Watson," he said dryly, and we stared at each other in relative silence.

"If you don't believe it, you can use a blood relationship to detect the spell." I looked at him as if he had lost the ability to speak, and whispered something.

Unexpectedly, he gave me a savage look, as if he had come alive all of a sudden: "I assume you are not as dull as some women who have soaked in the charm fragrance for too long-I will discuss with your mother Afterwards it was decided that you would choose your surname, so, what is your choice?"

"Snape." I thought for a while and replied.

He seemed a little surprised, but he said to me in that tone: "Your mother said your potion is very good?"

I thought about what kind of statement my mother used, and then answered cautiously: "It's okay."

He gave me a cold look, and snorted: "That's good. I hope to see a student who meets the Watson family's standards in Potions class."

"And one for Snape," I said to myself.

"May I ask Miss Violet Snape to repeat what she just said?" A sinister, silky voice sounded in my ear.I shuddered:

"I heard that you are the head of Slytherin, so we will meet at Hogwarts soon. It is really exciting."

Professor Severus Snape looked at me condescendingly: "I'm looking forward to it too."

The last four words were literally bitten off.
