HP Dawn Night

Chapter 11 The Mirror of Erised

"You guys are crazy." By the time I dried my hair with a drying spell, Pansy was still worried about stopping us from going out for a night out.

"No, Pansy, I'm not going to duel Potter or Weasley." I pulled on my sweater, Greenglass was still in the infirmary, and Burst was in the bathroom.Pansy blinked and lowered her voice intentionally:

"Then you want to..."

"Shh! I'll tell you when I get back." I put my finger on my lips to signal Pansy not to speak, and there was the sound of splashing water in the bathroom, "If anyone asks me where I went, just say I went to my father's place." It's the office, okay?"

"Okay. Are you with Draco?" Pansy sat down on the bed and watched me wrap my cloak, years of tacit understanding made her agree quickly.

"Of course." I tucked my wand into my sleeve and straightened the hem of my school uniform (—"That's right, that's it!" The mirror lady in the dormitory exclaimed exaggeratedly.) "I'm leaving, goodbye."

"Remember to bring your double-sided mirror." Pansy fished out her piece from under the pillow, "Call me if you need anything."

"of course."

When I pretended to be careless and wandered into the lounge, there were not many people left.A few seniors were sitting together doing their homework and chatting, and Draco was alone on the sofa by the fireplace.

"Hi, Draco." I looked around the break room, the seniors were busy chatting to themselves, this was a good chance to sneak out.

"I'm going to show you something." Draco whispered. We crawled out of the common room one after the other and looked around the door.

"Father should be in his office." I clutched Draco's cloak nervously, staring wide-eyed into the dimly lit corridor. She once told me that she and her friends sneaked out to the kitchen to enjoy delicious food.

"Go this way." Draco pulled me towards the library.

"Luminescent flickering." I raised my wand to shine in a brighter place, and Hogwarts at night was quiet and scary. We tried to walk as lightly as possible, trying not to make any noise, the only sound we could hear was our nervous breathing and the rubbing of school robes.

Although I don't know if there are any other students in the night tour, I think there must be-at least the Weasley brothers in Gryffindor don't seem to be the ones who will stay in the common room in a regular manner.

"If only we knew the Invisibility or Disillusionment spells." Draco suddenly tugged me behind a suit of armor. We waited until a patrolling prefect passed by before we carefully drilled out.

Along the way we held our breath for Mrs. Norris and Filch, and several times hurried to avoid teachers and prefects.

"What would Uncle Lucius say if he knew you were wandering around Hogwarts at night like those Gryffindors?" I whispered to Draco when we finally got somewhere a little safer.

"I'd also like to know what the godfather would say if he knew he'd deducted five points from Slytherin for his daughter's wandering outside?" ask me.

I imagined the scene, and still couldn't help but shudder: "It's horrible, Draco." He chuckled softly.

"Coming."

Draco pulled me forward.

The library was dark and eerie. The torches on the wall elongated our shadows, casting them like ghosts on the wall.I took a deep breath and moved closer to Draco.

"It's here, it's here."

Draco silently pushed open a door on the left.

Thank goodness we finally got into the room.

"Alahoo Cave!" I pointed my wand at the lock, and turned around after hearing a reassuring click——

"what is this?"

This room is more like an abandoned classroom. Many tables and chairs were piled up in a haphazard manner, and a wastebasket was upside down. But on the wall facing us, there was a very imposing mirror, reaching to the ceiling, in an ornate golden frame, supported by two claw-shaped feet.

It was out of place with the entire classroom, and I looked at it suspiciously.

"Guess what," Draco said behind my back.

"Is this the Mirror of Erised?" I took a few steps closer and looked at the runes engraved on the top. Before that, I had only read about the Mirror of Erised in books.

"It can reflect the desire in your heart." Draco walked closer to the mirror and stared at it for a long time.A strange expression gradually appeared on his face, as if he was dreaming.

"It's so beautiful..." Under my amazed gaze, Draco leaned close to the mirror and muttered to himself. He didn't know what he saw, but he seemed completely obsessed with the illusion created by the Mirror of Erised.I was hesitant to call him because this Draco was so - strange - I wondered if someone had taken Polyjuice Potion and turned him into him.

"Draco?"

Draco's shoulders trembled, and he suddenly came back to his senses. He blinked, with that dreamy expression on his face, as if he was still stuck in what he saw.

"Vio, try it." He said vaguely, while taking a few steps back, leaving me alone in front of the mirror.

"Merlin." At first, I was the only one in the mirror. But gradually - the mirror is no longer alone!Mom, grandfather, grandmother... and father?

I approached the mirror, and there was a man and a woman standing behind my father. The man was the future version of my father, and the woman who didn't look very happy - her eyebrows were very similar to mine. She is my grandmother? That man, then, is my grandfather.

This is what I most desire?

I rubbed my eyes, my nose was a little sour.

"It's amazing." I said to Draco with a forced smile, and I felt my voice was a little harsher than usual, "What did you see?"

He glanced at me, then smiled very brightly: "Guess."

I shrugged.What would Draco see?

"Maybe you led the Slytherin team to defeat the savior Potter?" I guessed wildly, "Or you became a more legendary hero than Potter?"

Draco jumped up angrily: "Potter? Potter! What is the boy who survived the catastrophe-don't say that even you think I will be frightened by Potter?" He laughed sinisterly: " There may not be Mr Potter at the long table in Gryffindor tomorrow." He drawled, "Potter has to pack his bags and continue to live with his Muggle relatives and live a 'prince' life." Ordinary 'life."

Draco said a little harshly.I frowned:

"Don't say that, Draco, Potter is better than Weasley, at least in my opinion."

He looked at me suspiciously: "Vio, are you even shrouded in the halo of the savior?"

I sighed, since I came to Hogwarts, anything related to Harry Potter has become Draco's weakness: "Draco, actually Potter didn't mess with you much, Isn't it?"

He ignored me, turned around and jumped to sit on a rickety table, looking at me seriously with folded arms: "So, what's going on with you and Daphne Greengrass?"

"What's going on?" I was too lazy to explain the trivial matters between girls to Draco, but Draco persisted in asking:

"Potions class. Did she mess with you?"

I thought about it for a few seconds before I said, "I want to keep her distance."

"what happened?"

Eventually I decided to tell Draco the full story.

When I repeated what Greenglass said in the dormitory, Draco immediately guessed the context of the matter: "It is very rude to question a Slytherin's blood."

"That's fine, I'm a quarter Muggle." I spread my hands, "but I don't like her tone of voice."

"The Prince family has a long history, and the godfather is indeed not a pure blood. It is not the turn of Greengrass to remind this." He criticized displeasedly, "It seems that Mr. Greengrass chose the wrong pawn."

"I didn't want to mess with her, but she actually tried to attack me from behind. So I decided to teach her a little lesson—" I winked at Draco, "So far, it's working out well."

In recent years, many pure-blood families in the wizarding world have gradually declined. Greengrass has a long history, and these years can be regarded as a sudden rise.

"Don't conflict with Greengrass again, Vio, you may not be able to reap benefits in the long run." Draco reminded.

For his kindness, I happily accepted it, and added an answer: "Don't bother with the savior anymore, what advantage can you take?"

As soon as Potter's name was mentioned, Draco's face immediately darkened: "This damn-po-te!"

The walk back to the lounge was much smoother, but halfway there we heard a commotion, as if a few people were sprinting past us from the floor above us.

"Did you hear that?" Draco said to me blankly.

student?Filch?teacher?

"Run!" Draco and I looked at each other in horror, before I had time to think about what was going on, I subconsciously grabbed Draco's school robe sleeve and ran towards the Slytherin lounge.

It wasn't until we sat down on the sofa in front of the fireplace, panting, that Draco realized, "Who was that just now?"

"I don't know." There was no one in the lounge, and the fire in the fireplace was about to go out.I shivered and looked at the time, "I want to go back to sleep, good night, Draco."

"Good night."

We leave the lounge separately.

It wasn't until I lifted the curtain of the bed wearily, got into the quilt, and planned to fall asleep, that Pansy muttered in a daze: "You're finally back, what time is it?"

"It's late." I lowered my voice, and Burst's even breathing sounded, "Draco took me to see something good, and I'll tell you about it tomorrow."

Pansy agreed in a half-dream and half-awake state. The magic clock beside the bed glowed faintly. I turned over and fell asleep not long after.
