Chapter 44 Omniscient Prediction X Deductive Analysis

Luna has been very restless lately, which Sherlock has easily noticed. In Sherlock's perception, there is always only one reason for Luna's uneasiness.

But this time, Luna's anxiety seemed to have reached its peak. Although she tried her best to conceal it, Sherlock still noticed it.

Sherlock put down all the research in his hand without any trace, and silently followed everything about Luna.

This time, he thought he should be able to unlock the secrets of Luna.

Detectives from Scotland Yard secured the crime scene to keep onlookers from approaching.

And within the protective belt, Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard led the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, who had recently gained fame, and his assistant John Watson, and the three walked to the body.

"This is the fourth accidental death in a few days. As before, there is no connection between the identities of the deceased, and there is no trace at the scene."

"It wasn't an accidental death. Even Scotland Yard realized something was wrong, didn't it? Otherwise, you wouldn't have insisted on pulling me out of 221B."

Sherlock, who was still lacking in interest, suddenly showed great interest when observing the scene.

He walked around twice, checking the body by the way.

Knowing that Sherlock doesn't like people to make noise when he judges the case, Lestrade and John kept silent and listened quietly to Sherlock's reasoning.

"In three days, four people died unexpectedly."

"The first accidental death, at 3 o'clock in the evening on March 2, fell and hit a sharp object."

"Second accidental death, car accident at 3:2 p.m. on March [-]."

"The third accidental death, at 3 noon on March 3, falling from a height"

"The fourth accidental death. At six o'clock in the morning on March 3th, the high-voltage power line accidentally broke and he was electrocuted."

"Eighteen hours between each accidental death."

When Lestrade shared their findings, it was also because these cases occurred too frequently that they attracted their attention.

"Obvious connection."

Sherlock did not mock the goldfish heads of the detectives and sheriffs of Scotland Yard as usual, but raised his head to carefully observe the high-voltage wires above his head that had been cut off after the incident.

The accidentally broken wire still maintains the most natural state at the beginning.

"And the 'accident' without the slightest flaw."

"So funny."

The difficult case made Sherlock excited. He took out his mobile phone from his pocket, and then walked out quickly, John quickly followed.

"Sherlock, if this is really not an accident, then the next victim will appear soon?"

He called a taxi casually, and Sherlock sat in the taxi and only used his mobile phone to quickly search for the information he needed without reporting the destination. The driver started the car very consciously.

John, who is not surprised, is more worried about the next victim who will appear next.

"Victim? You're thinking too much John."

As Sherlock quickly scanned the information, he refuted his assistant's reference to the 'victims' of these and possible future 'accidental deaths'.

"But didn't Inspector Lestrade just say that except for the first deceased who was a member of the gangsters, the others are ordinary people with clean net worth?"

John said that he had read the information carefully just now and found nothing wrong.

"John, a person can not only have one identity. We need to verify whether they are really ordinary people with clean net worth."

"The first deceased was a person involved in gangsters, who trafficked du and human beings, so you can skip it directly."

"The second deceased was a lorry driver."

Sherlock directly used the Internet to find out the home address of the second deceased, and then asked the driver to take them there.

After getting out of the car, Sherlock went directly to the door of the second deceased's house and rang the doorbell.

Then John watched Sherlock perform an instant face-changing in front of him again.

The lady who opened the door had a haggard expression, and the lady who was obviously grieving for her husband's accidental 'death' cheered up to face the two strangers, Sherlock and John.

"Excuse me, who are you?"

"Oh, I'm so sorry, sad news is always so sudden."

Sherlock shook hands with the bewildered lady with red eyes.

"You may not know me. I know Will. He is a good man. He may have done too many good things, so he didn't mention it to you. Will helped me when I was in trouble, and when I wanted to say thank you I chose to refuse, I am sorry, I have been preparing to visit before, but I did not expect to be one step late, it is really a pity."

Sherlock sang and played, and the excellent performance convinced the lady who had always believed that her husband was an upright, kind, helpful and good person, and invited Sherlock and John into the house.

Sherlock looked around quickly, but on the surface, he still maintained his acting skills that could win an Oscar statuette.

"I've always wanted to visit Will to see what kind of family a nice guy like him would have, and I've heard him say he likes carpentry."

Sherlock, who saw the small house in the corner of the yard through the window, seemed to mention it casually.

"Yes, he likes carpentry, and there is a small wooden house in the yard for him to do carpentry work. He attaches great importance to that room and likes to stay in it for a long time every time."

The lady who had completely believed that Sherlock was someone her husband had helped before led Sherlock and John to the yard, pointing to the cabin with red eyes and introducing them to them.

"I suppose you have never been in this room."

Sherlock instantly recovered his calm tone, making the other party unable to react for a while.

"Because Will he always locks the house and keeps the only key with him, doesn't he, ma'am?"

Sherlock walked to the door of the cabin, raised his foot and kicked the door open, even John was taken aback, not to mention that he had just lost his husband and thought Sherlock was the mistress of the deceased husband.

Walking into the cabin, the walls were covered with photos of the murder scene, which made John and the hostess of the house, who walked in with Sherlock, widen their eyes in surprise.

Sherlock took off one of the photos and said to John.

"It appears that the term 'victim' is becoming less and less likely."

Perhaps the hostess of the house, who believes her husband is a good old man, considers these pictures to be nothing more than her husband's 'little hobbies'.But Sherlock can completely judge that these photos are from the hands of the murderer.

He took out his mobile phone and searched for serial murder cases ten years ago, and finally determined that Will, who was called a "good guy" by everyone, was actually a serial murderer who had been at large for more than ten years.

Or a serial murderer who is about to come back out of the rivers and lakes.

Because the little boy on the photo in Sherlock's hand is smiling very happily.

It is the only one among all the photos on the wall that does not have a photo of the dead body attached, and is the latest one to be hung.

"The third deceased appeared to be an attractive woman who was in fact a massacre enthusiast."

"The fourth deceased was an upper-class celebrity with unlimited appearance, but he was also the leader of an underground organ trafficking organization."

Sherlock returned to 221B and began to sort out all the information he collected while looking for all the connections related to the incident.

"So there may be a 'hero' representing justice behind these accidents?"

"Or it should be said that he is a 'hero' who can predict who will commit murder."

John followed Sherlock, one behind the other, talking as they went upstairs.

Sherlock looked down at his phone intently, not noticing a tear had been torn in the carpet at some point, and almost tripped over.

The reason why he almost tripped was because Luna suddenly appeared at the stairs and held Sherlock back.

"I remember I told you to be careful when going up the stairs."

Luna took Sherlock's arm and reminded with a smile.
